I found the answer by solving the equation but I was confused about one aspect of the final equation:
So (1) I started with | t + 3 | > 5.
(2) I then found that t + 3 > -5 or t + 3 > 5.
(3) Then I found that t > -8 or t > 2.
However, the correct answers ended up being (A) -9 and (F) 3. (F) 3 fits in with what I found, but I'm confused about why -9 is the correct answer, if t > -8?
