You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Learning the format and many if the general math principles. Specifically rates and work as well as probability and combinations.

Like a ton, like way more than I'm prepared her but I'm so writing a Google review or something!

With my Indian background, I was always inclined towards math. Magoosh helped me this with around 650 math problems and that was all I ever wanted to for a long time! I actually only picked up on English and it was too late. But it helped me in a way which I found really amazing. Everything was organised and with each problem, you had related lessons. I'm actually kind of going to miss Mike's and Chris's voices!

I needed to get in the 70th percentile in Math for certain programs I am interested in. After using another test prep interface to prepare for the first time I took the GRE, I found myself scoring in only the 38th percentile. I scheduled a retake for about a month in the future and immediately started using Magoosh. After using the math videos, I felt that I understood the basic concept quickly (and possibly better than I did when I learned them 10 years ago). I was able to improve my math score by 8 points and get the 70th percentile score that I needed. Magoosh is a good option because they let you ask questions when you are confused and get an answer quickly via email.

Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without Magoosh. I had absolutely no idea about the GRE and I found out that I needed to take it right away. I used the one month study schedule, which really helped focus my studying and improve my progress. I watched all the lesson videos, did all the vocab flashcards and almost all the practice questions. The video explanations after questions are the best thing; the experts went step by step through the problems and really helped to break down difficult questions.

Magoosh taught me many new math concepts and techniques, especially in integer properties, counting and word problems. I never knew there was actually a strategy for solving those problems about cars moving towards each other. I wish I had been taught all this in 5th grade.

Magoosh helped me prepare at a higher difficulty level. I would like to thank bhavin and his team. Different and unique question set. Would definitely recommend it to every student who is planning to pursue GRE. Great job guys !

Magoosh was exactly what I needed to prep for the GRE! After having been out of college for two years, I needed some serious refreshers - especially on math - and the videos and practice questions that included explanations were perfect. I only had five weeks to prep, so I liked that I could go at whatever pace I needed to using Magoosh. I know I would have not done nearly as well without it!

Magoosh helped me in a lot of different aspects. First, I came into the test the second time around with a clear strategy of when to skip problems and when to go at them, understanding the format very well. Additionally, particularly on the verbal section, the strategies I learned from Magoosh frequently enabled me to solve problems that included words I had never seen. I felt like I was ready to tackle any type of question the test could throw at me after Magoosh and that confidence presumably helped my score.

Being an engineer, maths has been my forte. I needed guidance on the verbal section. Magoosh's videos on the verbal section were of great help. I found the practice questions to be of high quality. You don't really another study resource for the GRE if you subscribe to Magoosh. To the Magoosh team, sweet job at the product. Keep it up! Cheers. :)

I really benefited from the wealth of questions to practice with, this helped re-tune my brain for the quantitative part of the exam. The detailed video answer for each question was also invaluable for understanding, and closing, the gaps in my knowledge. Whenever I was dissatisfied with a video explanation for an answer (rare!) my questions were answered promptly by a member of the Magoosh team, awesome customer support.

Magoosh helped me refresh math concepts I hadn't seen high school in a clear non-intimidating way. Customer support helped with questions in a remarkably fast and friendly way. I was able to study on my own time so it actually got done. Having video answers was so helpful for someone like me who needs to hear and see to fully absorb it. I love Magoosh am so glad I gave it a try. I will recommend it to everyone I know!

For me, the verbal section has been the major cause for concern ever since the SATs. The main thing Magoosh really helped me out with was with the many practice questions it offered. Practicing these on a daily basis consistently for 2 weeks really got me used to the style of questions the GRE asks. It definitely seems like Magoosh has researched the GRE quite a bit more than other practice guides, because the questions provided for practice are very similar to those on the real exam. The best thing was that every question had video explanations that were given for every question - this really helped me understand the reasoning behind the correct answer to every question. The "Very Hard" text completions were great practice, as they exposed me to what I could expect on the harder verbal section.

Another cool thing about Magoosh is its customer service - it's really helpful! I am grateful because Magoosh helped me by extending my subscription - which proved to be very useful for me at the end.

I was focusing mainly on math because I'm going for a master in engineering and i am a foreigner. I practiced on all the 700 math questions and scored way better than expected. Magoosh teaches you about all kind of questions and it become almost routine. If you make a mistake you can watch the video explanation and understand where you were wrong. you can be redirected to a lesson that explain the math theory behind the particular question. Often times it is useful to watch the video even if you get the answer right to see how Magoosh solved the problem and maybe find a faster approach.
In two week i was ready for the test and when there it was like every other day, just crunching out math problems. the test was for me easier than the question i used to find on magoosh. I am really thankful.

Magoosh helped me to get a deeper understanding of different topics (particularly the Math section).

The tips and tricks I learned through Magoosh helped a lot to get a better grip of the verbal section.

It was the only source of study material I used apart from the official ETS guides. When I began studying for the GRE, I had very little time (50 days) and no structured way of going about it. Magoosh's 30 day prep schedule (daily) worked really well for me. It gave me a structured and disciplined approach and helped me use my time efficiently. Also, whenever I had queries, they were answered by the Magoosh staff within a day. That is something I really appreciate and it helped me a lot. :)

Clearly and simply explained the nuances of math and verbal sections of the GRE so much so that by studying for 3 weeks I was able to achieve a great result.

Reminded me of math topics I hadn't seen in a while and showed how to approach a lot of problems.

Magoosh was GREAT, to say the least!!! The reading comprehension and text completion questions prepared me for the hardest questions that could come on test day. The Quant practice questions also gave me a feel of how hard the questions can get,and served to remove my misconception that all quant questions are going to be easy.Had I not tried the Magoosh practice questions in the quant section, I would have had a really nasty surprise!!

If anyone out there is looking for a GRE prep product at affordable prices I'd recommend Magoosh wholeheartedly.Moreover the video lessons were not at all boring and gave me a lot of techniques that I could use to solve quant questions in 1- 2 minutes which I would take 5-6 minutes to solve, otherwise.Thank you to the Magoosh team!!
I did regret a bit that I was able to use the Magoosh product only for 15 days(as I subscribed only 15 days prior to the test).

Magoosh lessons and practice questions were very good and all I used to improve my score by 3 points. I am happy with that improvement, especially since I had bad sleep the night before and I already had a high score so there was little room for improvement.

Magoosh helped prepare me for the GRE by teaching me how to approach questions. As I worked through the practice questions and lessons provided by Magoosh, my understanding of how the test was set up, how the questions were worded, and what the questions were aiming at vastly improved.

Magoosh is unique from other courses due to their emphasis on self-learning and focus on core concepts, rather than learning superfluous tricks. More than the lectures themselves, the practice questions and their explanation are useful. A big thank you to all the Magoosh staff, this score wouldn't be possible without you guys!

Magoosh helped me strategically approach verbal reasoning questions without second-guessing my vocab choices. It also provided a great math refresher, and helped me organize my studying.

- Vocab flashcards were EXTREMELY helpful; 90% of the vocab words that appeared in the verbal section had appeared in the Magoosh vocab flashcards
- Video tutorials on the essay section were also extremely helpful. I would have had no idea how to approach the essays if not for the video lessons
- Math practice problems were somewhat helpful, although the questions on my test did seem to differ dramatically from the majority of Magoosh practice problems
