You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh helped me build confidence with the different types of questions in the quant sections. With only a month to study, Magoosh made it easy to pare down lessons to the essentials to improve upon my weaknesses quickly. Although I'm happy with my score (it was higher than any of my practice GRE scores) I was very disappointed to see that my GRE score "corresponds" with a 680 on the GMAT. Last year (before Magoosh) I took the GMAT and scored a 680. I know, to a certain degree, it's like comparing apples and oranges, but I wonder if I improved at all. Last year, I prepped for the GMAT with a princeton review small-class tutor. I liked Magoosh's online format better. If, god-forbid, I ever have to take one of these tests again, I would probably return to Magoosh.

I found Magoosh to be extremely helpful in the following ways: 1. The study schedules allowed me to stay as disciplined as possible while studying, and helped me guide my studies. I was not sure where to begin, and Magoosh spelled it out for me, which was nice.
2. The math videos were a great review of math I hadn't seen in a very long time, and there were even concepts that I remember learning, but that were clarified for me more than ever before through the explanations offered by the Magoosh tutors. I also appreciated actually learning the math, and not being taught tricks of test taking.

It helped me a lot, I would not have gotten this score without all the videos and all the math and verbal questions

Good questions

Magoosh provides me ample questions to work on. The questions have a very similar format with the real test questions, so it won't get too panic when facing the real one. It also includes plenty of useful vocabularies. It contributes much to my points.

The most valuable thing provided by Magoosh were the study plans. I liked having a structured study plan but also the flexibility of watching the lessons and doing the practice questions on my own time. The lessons and practice questions were instrumental in helping me improve my quantitative section score. I had long since forgotten how to tackle most of the math topics covered by the GRE.

Great video lessons

The math videos were a fantastic refresher and really helped in covering good test taking strategies. I also really appreciated having video explanations for every practice problem. And the verbal flash cards were a really great way to
expand my vocabulary.

Practice Questions, Tips and of course the vocabulary

Magoosh helped me devise a systematic study plan, and offered me comprehensive access to relevant study materials and practice questions. I only wish I discovered it earlier!

Practice questions were a great help and also the practice tests.I think Magoosh is a pretty great platform for preparation. Videos helped with time saving tricks in quant a lot.

I think it really helped to get used to the time ticking, and practicing questions on screen. I needed help with the math section especially, and the math lessons and questions were super helpful for me to get a hang of math after having done none of it in college. After practicing quite a bit every day, I felt confident enough to tackle the actual exam! And all the vocab cards and resources were so invaluable.

Magoosh helped me pinpoint the exact mistakes that I made during my last GRE attempt. Their concise and to the point methodology helped me improve so much that I got 14+ marks from my previous score. I especially liked how the content of both Quant and Verbal is not at all over whelming. I also liked the various study plans as I am working individual and those study plans helped me judiciously manage my time. Lastly the way in which instructors guided and showed the various traps and tricks GRE plans for the student helped me a lot.

Magoosh gave me a study plan that fit my needs and a list of things to do that I was able to check off every day. The flash cards apps were helpful and the math videos were extremely helpful.

Practice questions helped in brushing up concepts and help with pacing. The score predictor was pretty accurate.

It prepared me thoroughly for the test, especially for the math section. It helped me to review some concepts I hadn't practice in a while and I even learn a few tricks (like right triangle triplets).

Magoosh helped me a lot! The tutorials are really good and the questions I got were rather similar to the practice ones on the Magoosh platform. Also, I really liked the flashcards app. As a foreign student, the verbal part was very hard for me and I only worked it seriously for 3 weeks so in the end I am rather happy with the result. I still do not know about my AWA score but I hope it went well too.
