You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It is pretty much the only thing I used to study apart from a vocabulary list.

Magoosh plays the role of orientating myself toward GRE, those lessons helped me a lot as a beginner and those further questions are high-end and are really close to ETS logic.

Practice, re-learning techniques.

Magoosh's instructional videos helped me recognize shortcuts on the quantitative section that helped me answer all of the questions in time. Trigonometry, geometry, and statistics are the areas I feel Magoosh helped me improve the most. I used the Magoosh vocabulary flashcards app a couple of times, and saw more than a handful of words that I only knew because of the app. The essay strategies videos helped me develop coherent essays within the extremely limited time frame provided.

I loved Magoosh because the questions were similar to the theme of questions presented on the GRE but much tougher. I felt that no questions thrown on the GRE could be tougher than a Magoosh question. That's good.

Magoosh practice questions are really close to the actual GRE. I think I benefited from doing the timed tests and questions from the pool.

Magoosh allowed me to perform regular small drills of problems which matched my level of performance and thus challenged me, and then allowed me to immediately understand what I did wrong and correct any errors in my thinking/approach to problems in real time, as most of my errors in quantitative section were not due to lack of content knowledge, but rather in pacing and assuming a problem was either more complex or more simple than it actually was. Magoosh allowed me to develop a systematic method for tackling each problem, while also giving me data on how long different problem types took. On the verbal section, Magoosh helped me develop a strategy for the most challenging problems through elimination and consideration of more subtle aspects of word choices.

The math review was extremely helpful. I hadn't taken math since high school, so I was very rusty with a lot of the concepts. Magoosh really helped me re-learn the concepts I needed to know for the test, and I especially appreciated the focus on having a deep understanding of the logic behind those concepts, rather than just memorizing formulas. The practice questions were also very well done and very useful in my preparations.

Magoosh has an excellent collection of questions, detailed video explanations for each one of them, an unparalleled help/support system and loads of other well-crafted features. All of this, coupled with the incredible pricing makes it inimitably good. Magoosh prep and the Official GRE material were more than sufficient for me to get a good score.

Quant section was a great help for me.

The video explanations for all of the questions were extremely helpful, as there were often simpler ways to solve problems that I did not think of in the moment. I also found the Magoosh practice questions to be harder in general than those on the actual GRE, which made me feel more prepared. The study plans were nice in that they provided a routine to follow every day.

the videos helped clarify old misconceptions i had about smaller math concepts/details, and gave easy ways to solve every type of math problem given on the GRE. The verbal fill in the blank videos helped with the overall strategy of how to approach many of the problems. I really liked the essay writing strategy, and used it on my exam as well.

The online practice questions were the most helpful to me. The blog was helpful too (for the writing portion).

Very helpful for providing all the challenging verbal questions so that I wont panic about the comparatively easier GRE questions; the vocabulary builder and flashcards help a lot as well; also, thanks for accompanying me throughout the whole GRE journey by sending study tips regularly which gave me a lot of mental support and useful guidance in planning my studies.

A streamlined and fixed method of preparation. The online UI is great. It helps gauge performance as well as predicted scores. Moreover the difficulty indicator as well as the relative time indicators are great!.

I owe all my success to magoosh. The lessons are well explained and answers are properly written.

Magoosh helped prep me for the format of the GRE. When the test came up I knew exactly what to expect which allowed me to show my best effort on the test.

Being from Brasil, Magoosh was a very easy and friendly device to know the content of the test and to prepare myself properly.

1. I owe my quant score to Magoosh. The preparation videos and practice questions were enough to get me to the perfect score.
2. Chris's blogs on AWA were really helpful especially the one where he categorizes the 'Analyse an Issue' task in 7 buckets.
3. Vocab Wednesday was another useful resource, I went through about 150 of those and that really helped me in the Sentence Equivalence and Text completion questions.
4. Grading the vast resources (books and online) in one of the blogs was another highlight. That really helped me to filter out irrelevant/low grade resources.

The lessons help me remember the topics and the vast selection of exercises help me to get familiar with the test.

The math lessons really helped refresh me in a lot of the topics that I learned in high school but had not touched since then. I liked that the lessons didn't simply provide me with a list of formulas to memorize, but they went over how to approach the problem from a conceptual understanding.
