You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Math videos, practice questions, vocab flashcards, 90 day study plan- I wouldn't have been able to get a good score without them

There were an abundance of questions--varying in type and level of difficulty. I also appreciated the vocabulary builder/flashcards sections--that they were divided from beginner to advanced as well as in terms of how common they were. The lessons were also extremely helpful, particularly the math lessons that explained how to carry out certain types of problems.

1. The practice questions with detailed explanations are very helpful.

2. Magoosh does a great job seamlessly integrating concepts by thinking of "the little things". For example. in every question explanation lesson videos are linked for the topic covered. After watching the lesson there is an option to return to your current question, and continue on form where you left off.

Magoosh was essentially the only avenue I used to study for the GRE and it was extremely helpful, I don't imagine myself using anything else. Great quality for the price.

Provide the practices that are very close to the real exam questions.

I watched all of the verbal and math videos, and I did all of the practice questions. I found it very helpful to brush up on math and understand the format of the test.

This is my first and most likely the last time taking the GRE, since I did well enough. I find the video tutorials very useful, especially for strategies to improve verbal score and writing. I also like the vocabulary flashcard app; it seems that often, synonyms are deliberately put into the same deck, and I think the common word decks do contain common words that show up on the real test. Finally, I would recommend Magoosh to my classmates because the practice problems are harder than the real test but still similar enough to get my well prepared. I took a mock test on Magoosh, and didn't do as well as I would like. But then I took another mock test on Powerprep and then the real test, I found them easier than expected so I did better than expected.

I found Magoosh to be great for improving quant scores and clarifying key concepts . Practice tests are great confidence boosters, and help to identify flaws in one's preparation. Videos associated with text completion questions also help a lot.

Magoosh was critical in helping me identify my weaknesses. Using G the different tools that Magoosh provided, I was able to focus in on my weaknesses and therefore improve my score by 10 points in verbal (based on ETS provided practice tests) and 2 points in quantity.

Magoosh was the best GRE prep resource I used. I tried Kaplan, Barron's, AND Manhattan. While all decent resources, all had their obvious flaws. Magoosh's Vocabulary app was a great help, as it it excellent at pulling up the flashcards of the words you are more likely to have forgotten. Furthermore, the Magoosh site is very well-done. I went through all over the Verbal questions, as my goal was to boost this score from my first GRE. Every question had a very helpful video, and I would try to ask myself "What would Chris do?" for every question I practiced and for the actual GRE. Magoosh was the first resource to guide my reading ability directly and to offer highly specified help on text completions. Thanks to Magoosh, my verbal score went up 7 POINTS. Thank you Chris, and thank you Magoosh for helping me to (hopefully) get into graduate school.

I think the strongest aspect of the Magoosh lessons was their ability to identify correctly which TYPES of questions the GRE favors - it made it easier to focus my studies when I knew, for example, that the test-writers love to ask about properties of 30-60-90 triangles, prime factorization, etc.

This website is absolutely great! All the lessons were very clear and helpful. I also got in touch a few times by sending an email and got very friendly and quick responses. It provided me with some insights, tricks, and ways of approaching problems that simplified them. It introduced me to ways of thinking about the problem that I would have had difficulty arriving at myself.

The video lessons and practice questions are great and well-organized with awesome tips to approach different types of problems. For the quantitative section, the questions in Magoosh are tougher than in any other material I referred. In fact, even in the actual test, I found the questions easier than Magoosh and was able to complete the section before the 35 minutes of stipulated time and check my work for any errors.

Moreover, whenever I sent a mail asking doubts, I received the response within 24 hours (even on weekends). Even if my doubts were silly enough, you guys had a lot of patience to clarify all my doubts. Also, my account was about to expire around 10 days before my test day. But you guys helped me by extending the expiry date until the test date.

My favorite part about Magoosh were the tutorial videos that accompanied each question on the practice tests. They really helped me understand what I was doing wrong way better than reading something in a book could.
