You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The plethora of exercises helped me to become accustomed to the exam questions, as well as to find and eliminate most common mistakes of mine. As a bonus, my stamina increased a bit :)

I wanted to study for the GRE myself, and came across Magoosh. The video lessons and video explanations for every question were insanely helpful and the creators of Magoosh know the test incredibly well. I am happy to say I got the score I was aiming for and will not need to take the GRE again!

It helped me get an accurate feel for what taking the test on a computer would be like. Although my math score may not reflect it, I did find the math videos to be extremely helpful. If I had purchased Magoosh a bit earlier in the study process, I suspect that I might have been able to improve my math score.

Magoosh helped me a lot with my verbal reasoning. English isn't my native language. My performance was atrocious in the beginning of my preparation, when I was going through the ETS verbal preparation guide. Later on I followed Magoosh only and seems like it worked pretty well. Perhaps 158 on verbal isn't much, but without Magoosh, I don't think I would have crossed the 150 barrier! Plus, the quant part was fun as well. Overall, I truly am grateful to the Magoosh team. The similarity of the questions (and sheer number of them) were very helpful. I watched every video for each of my incorrect answers until I knew how to solve every quant problem in Magoosh's bank. On test day, I felt 100% prepared.

The last time I took GRE was in 2008 so I really needed to review all the concepts tested on the exam. After reading good reviews I chose Magoosh. I only focused on the Math part as my vocabulary has always been pretty strong so I didn't need to study for English. I really enjoyed Math videos by Mike. He is an excellent teacher. The best thing about him is that he not only focuses on teaching concepts but also on teaching the correct way to think. Also, the Math practice questions are of great quality and should come in handy to those who are targeting the perfect Math score. Video explanations are excellent. I watched explanation videos even if I easily solved a problem correctly as it sometimes led me to learn an alternate way to think. Magoosh along with Manhattan books(including the 5lb book) and ETS prep books is all anyone needs to ace the Math part of the exam.

Magoosh helped me feel so much more comfortable in math by breaking down concepts and providing helpful shortcuts and strategies. My math score improved so much since the first practice test I took, and I'm really glad I used Magoosh as part of my study material because it helped make the whole study process less daunting.

Practice questions are of high quality and proved to be of great help. Video lessons are comprehensive and ensured that I had preparation for all sorts of questions. Best part is UI; it kept me engaged with practice material.

It was pretty much my only study source for the test and I did better than I expected. I took an intro statistics course last year, but other than that I haven't taken a math course in 16 years, so the fact that I scored a 162 is nothing short of amazing to me. I certainly could not have done it without Magoosh.

Practice problems let me know the types of problems to look for so I was familiar with the format and tricks to do well.

Magoosh helped me to kickstart my preparations. I was able to review math sections in a week accompanied with few practice questions, indicating my mastery. Moreover, it was easy to learn and practice new gained skills with the plethora of verbal questions.

The practice problems are great. I find that they're a bit more challenging than the ones on the actual GRE, which made the test the day of feel really manageable, and like I was really well prepared.

The math section was very helpful. The verbal section gave me some very helpful tips that I believe boosted my verbal score.

Magoosh provides really elaborate video lessons and hundreds of practice questions with detailed video explanations which covers pretty much everything that is asked on the test. The Flaschcards App and the Vocabulary Builder App were quite handy as well to quickly learn GRE words. Also, Magoosh replied to all my queries promptly (usually within 24 hours).

Magoosh was basically my sole source of study material (I also bought the "Official Guide to the GRE," but only for the practice tests--I didn't actually use any of the techniques or read the book at all). I was on a tight timeline--I only had a few weeks to take the test--and Magoosh was definitely the way to go. What's more, I actually enjoyed the idea of taking a standardized test for the first time in my life. Nicely done Magoosh... :)
