You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

My math score improved 5 points over my first practice exam. My verbal performance was strong before Magoosh, but even so I doubt that I would have earned a perfect score with no practice. The question style and distribution of the Magoosh practice tests were nearly identical to the actual exam. I thought that I was only going to use the math practice questions but ended up doing both quantitative and verbal practice, and watching videos in both sections and analytical writing as well. I thought I was too smart to get much out of the lessons, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that they're mainly designed for students like me who're looking to turn their good score into a great one.

I mostly focused on the math practice problems and watched the videos explaining how to solve them. The full practice tests were also useful- one of the essays I ended up writing had been one of the ones I had gotten from Magoosh. The flash card apps were also helpful for remembering formulas. I also liked that Magoosh tracked my progress with estimated scores for math and verbal.

Magoosh helped me understand the structure of test and make sure there was no surprises on test day.I grew familiar with test pattern and structure during the one month prep time .The responses I received to the doubt emails never. ceased to amaze me as they were so prompt .

I mostly used the practice problems to study. Took a practice test once about three days before the actual test. Watched lesson videos to brush up on certain topics I was fuzzy on.

Magoosh was a great help throughout. Apart from the excellent videos and practice questions, Magoosh boasts of a really helpful GRE blog. The blog helped me clear most of my doubts, whether related to GRE prep or the test day experience, for that matter. Also, Magoosh is different from its competitors in terms of the personalized experience it affords. I would like to thank the Magoosh team for putting in such a wonderful effort. :)

The vocabulary flashcards were extremely helpful as they got me started early in the preparation process and they were very reflective of the words on the actual test. The lessons offered valuable strategies and analyses of the question types. The practice tests helped me identify my weak points and get used to the pace of the real test. Overall Magoosh was the biggest help in my prep process!

I like all of your videos! They are brief and efficient! They helped me not only improve my gre score but also strengthen my reading ability, cause active reading is an important skill in lots of reading materials!

Instruction and examples

Magoosh's practice questions are so helpful to me! I love the verbal lessons too! English is my second language so I am not very confident with it sometimes. But Magoosh has so many great features to boost my confidence and mentally prepared me well for the GRE.

Magoosh helped me improved and review my math skills greatly and prepped me for the style of problems I saw on test day. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone. The explanation videos are better than any book I could possibly ever study.

Math was pretty easy already, but Magoosh showed me how to tackle all the English questions. It showed me how to answer them, and the ample variety in the practice questions really proved beneficial in the long run

Great questions & explanation

Before I used Magoosh, I was scoring a 150 on the verbal section during my practice tests and if I got lucky, maybe a 152. This tool really helped me with my verbal score and helped me cross my goal of 320 on the actual GRE. I was able to approach the reading comprehension passages with more confidence and clarity. I loved the techniques on eliminating wrong answer choices so even if I didn't know the right answer, I was able to eliminate the wrong ones. The Magoosh flashcard app was also incredibly useful and handy to keep up with the vocabulary. Thank you so much for such a wonderful resource :)

The problems are well designed and help me alot

Magoosh helped me much in verbal part, especially to help me familiarize with test format and how to do readings. The Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence are also quite close to what I encountered during real exams.

Gave me lots of practice and confidence and the lessons are brilliant..

I found the ability to do targeted practice on my weak areas through Magoosh extremely helpful. I would identify a weak area and then do a quiz on just that topic then review all the answers for the video of the answer and then the video of topics I didn't understand. It was particularly helpful how the topic videos were on relatively narrow topics so you could review the specific topic that you didn't understand rather than waste time reviewing topics you already understand.
It was also very helpful to have it all online as I could do some work at home when I had some downtime or got into work early which meant I was able to maximise my preparation time.
I also asked several questions to the Magoosh experts and they responded very quickly and were extremely helpful.
Given this was only 99, it was excellent value for money.

The math videos were extrememly helpful. I really liked that the actual math problems were so difficult made the real exam a piece of cake.

Magoosh helped me review GRE content and become familiar with the test format. I am especially thankful for the math tutorials, as I haven't taken a proper math class in five years!

I was able to do refresh math concepts I haven't done in years and I loved that every question had a video explanation.

Video answers to every question was helpful

Magoosh definitely boosted my confidence going into the math sections of the test. I was busy with school and didn't study nearly enough, so the lower verbal score I got was on me. However, I was surprised how helpful the math lessons were even though I only studied a fraction of them. I'm sure that if I put in a week of solid study with Magoosh before the test I could have achieved 167+ in both categories.

Magoosh helped so much! If I hadn't found Magoosh I wouldn't have done nearly as well. I just wish I had started studying sooner! The lessons were amazing and I loved doing practice problems on Magoosh because of the explanation videos. Magoosh was a life-saver, thank you so much!!!
