You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The challenge problems on the blog and the wealth of practice problems made the questions on the test seem easy. I ran out of time in the math section the first time I wrote it but this time I had time to spare.

Flashcards for vocab were awesome

The biggest thing Magoosh did was help me see the GRE as a comprehensive whole. As they say in one video, the GRE only tests your ability to take the GRE. It is not a test of innate math or verbal ability. Once I got used to that, the study materials were great. Their practice questions were often a little bit harder than the test questions, which was good preparation. A lot of the GRE questions have a twist, and the ability to solve them quickly involves finding the twist. Magoosh did a fantastic job of teaching me how to do that.

Magoosh advertised pretty heavily, and I did end up looking at the free content elsewhere. I still ended up using Magoosh, because it had everthing in one place, and it all works, and was clean. And it seems like you care if people do better. Everything is oriented to helping people study better. It's a subtle thing, but it makes this higher quality than any other study site.

I was a bit leery of spending the money, but it was money well spent. I ended up considering it part of the expense of the test. Per point of improvement, it was pretty reasonable. I wish I'd had this when I was studying for the SAT, ages ago. Big thanks to Mike and Chris, for the videos, and the Magoosh team, for the terrific site. And the other guy who does the math question videos. Those question videos are pretty awesome too. Thanks everyone! The test went really well.

Magoosh videos and practice questions were very helpful. The questions are of apt difficulty, and the score estimation is on point, too!

Vocabulary flashcard app was incredibly helpful and convenient, and I re-learned most of the GRE math through watching the math lesson videos. Magoosh was actually the only test prep I used (in addition to taking one of the ETS practice tests).

Magoosh helps me to improve the skill to analyze the sentence structure in verbal test.
Also, it helpful for me to practice various questions to maintain the stability of solving problems in math test.

Great, challenging practice questions.

The sheer number of problems helped the most. I study a math intensive major so I get the concepts, but doing it quickly in a high stress environment is not my cup of tea. I was able to sit there and work problem after problem, and the GRE felt similar. I was relaxed and the problems felt easier!

It was nice to be able to see the estimated score increase on the dashboard (hopefully) each time =) It was accurate in my case. I score the highest estimated value.

Magoosh helped me score decent on the verbal section. The video lessons as well as answer explanations were pretty solid, so were the set of questions. Math was good as well.

I did not watch videos much, I focused on working on questions which helped bring up my score a lot. (My score increased 18 points in the last month!)

Magoosh was absolutely critical to me getting a good math score - I hadn't thought about it much since high school so was learning pretty much scratch. Mike, we've never met but I feel like I know you pretty well after the last few months of studying with your videos! Thanks for everything.

There is a whole lot of good practice material out there, but the amazing thing about Magoosh was that its online-based GRE training system simulated the actual test experience very well. After all, practicing in front of a screen and clicking my way through the questions made much more sense to me than working with a book and checking answers with a pencil.
Most of all, the adaptive difficulty level was a great help. After days of practice with very hard Magoosh questions, the actual GRE test almost seemed easy.
I am really grateful because I took the GRE four times with only minor improvements. Then I signed up to Magoosh and in the fifth test session I finally reached the score I was aiming for from the beginning.

First of all, the Magoosh teachers are really helpful when I have the question. The lessons and the question also help a lot in eliminating your questions and weakness. Though Magoosh questions are harder than real GRE test, you will find it really relaxed when you take the real test.

Lots of math questions, plus the math videos.

Familiarises me with the test and helps me build up vocab. I didn't use the math review part at all, since my weakness lies with the verbal section.

Magoosh is sooo helpful, not only the practices and tutorials, but also the iPhone/iPad apps that come with it. I can't imagine taking the test without Magoosh prep. I'm sure I could score even higher on verbal if I had more time devoting to it. Anyways, I absolutely love magoosh and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is going to take GRE.

Magoosh practice questions helped me cover tested topics and get used to the pace required to attempt all questions on the test. The video and test explanations accompanying the questions were very helpful whenever a doubt arose.
I followed the study plans provided on the website, and stuck to the recommended material. It worked very well for me.

Magoosh helped me a lot with the tips about learning and memorizing vocabulary. My reading comprehension also improved.
