You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The math videos helped a lot, especially the geometry topics, as it has been a long time since I've done any geometry related problems. There were also tons of math problems which helped me get back up to speed in terms of pacing. Additionally, while I generally read a lot of articles from the sources like NY Times, I am not a fast reader, which made reading comprehension problematic for me. The reading comprehension practices helped a lot in my pacing problems.

The Magoosh math lessons provided me with the conceptual foundation to tackle the quantitative section of the GRE. I do not consider math to be my forte, yet I was able to achieve a respectable score of 168 on the quant section with only a month of study. The Magoosh practice problems helped me identify my weaknesses and receive the mass exposure to GRE problems that made me feel confident going into the exam. Magoosh's blog posts were a great supplemental resource as they are sprinkled with helpful advice and a bevy of challenging practice problems. The exercises are helpful.

Practice questions on Magoosh are harder than those in my GRE. So I find it much easier to complete the actual test.

Helped me get prepared for the verbal and analytical writing sections.

Magoosh was a excellent resource. The math videos an exercises are incredible. Even if you are good in math, you should watch th. There are so many tips and shortcuts in them that it is hard to count.

The practice tests familiarized me with the test format. I had a clear idea of what the real exam would be like after taking 6 or 7 practice tests. I heard people saying the magoosh verbal questions are harder than the real test, but the good side is this makes me feel the real test questions are not so difficult.

Magoosh helped me with verbal a lot. I don't like learning words and magoosh explained that learning vocabulary in context is important then just learning words. I score more verbal then last time without even learning words.

It helped in building vocabulary to achieve a higher verbal score.

Practice; that's the only thing I really needed.

Magoosh helped me by giving me an actual study plan to follow instead of having to just wing it on my own. It gave me structure and a guide for just how to succeed. I focused on the math section because this was what I wanted to improve and I was blown away by how in depth Magoosh went in to all the math concepts. All of the lesson videos, practice problems, and solutions were without a doubt the reason I was able to improve. If I had more time to study, I think I could have done even better!

I came to Magoosh for the one-month study plan, since that was the time I had before my test. I followed it to the letter.

The huge database of exercises was very helpful. I believe the key to a high score is not making dumb distraction or nervousness mistakes; doing hundreds of exercises in timed conditions helped build the confidence I needed to feel comfortable and avoid such mistakes during the test itself.

The video lessons are almost comprehensive and offer useful techniques for mastering the GRE. I particularly enjoyed Chris's Verbal section videos. The practice questions Magoosh has are certainly way more challenging than the standard GRE questions, but definitely prepared me well for the Quant section. I also found the flashcards extremely helpful, particularly Chris's paper flashcards.

The two ebook pdf documents are amazing! And the fact that the layout of the practice tests are exactly identical to the actual test was very helpful.

I needed something from which i could study at my own convenience. Magoosh gave me that. My high score in math is solely because of magoosh and in verbal i would have done better had i not missed some questions due to my speed.

Math exercises helped me to be more careful and be more aware of the "traps" in the test. Besides, after dealing with so many exercises in Magoosh my speed in the verbal section has been improved a lot, and I am doing far more better in TC/SE than before.

It was specially useful in recognizing and solving the tricky questions in the Quantitative part of the exam. It also helped me recognizing the most common words for the Verbal part and practice with them before the exam.
