You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The advanced study plan gave me daily structure, and the number of Hard and Very Hard questions in the question bank allowed me to specifically target tricky problems. The on-screen calculator was also a good simulation for the actual computerized test.

I know my previous to current scores don't look high or at least isn't high enough to get into the program I want to, but I increased my percentages by a total of 52%! I scored in the 93% of Writing and a 67% in Verbal which is more than what I wanted. I owe it to the flashcards app becasue it was so easy to use and I would use it everywhere. I even deleted all social media on my phone so I wouldn't use that as a distraction, so I was forced to practice vocab when I was bored.

Also, I found the math videos SO HELPFUL. I actually feel like a have a good understanding of mathematical concepts and I was not trying to memorize and guess answers. I love that there were so many practice problems and the lessons were easy to understand. I wish I had your help back in high school.

My percentage score saw leaps and bounds:
59% to a 67% in verbal
37% to a 44% in quant
56% to a 93% in writing (Yes your videos helped me here greatly too)

Helped me review quant basics and gave me ample practice questions from a range of difficulties to prepare me for the actual exam.

Magoosh provided a useful study plan with a realistic level of difficulty. They also provide very useful strategies for English and explain the concepts behind all the formula for Math. It generally helped improve my understanding from a more basic level upwards and I manage to identify my weak spots very easily. I previously used the Kaplan product and despite studying very hard with it, still found many questions posed by ETS a tad difficult. After following the Magoosh study plan, I manage to find most of the official ETS questions easy. The Magoosh staff have been extremely helpful and are quick to reply to my many questions, the recommendations to practice via other guides for GMAT/LSAT are also spot on and they give really good practice on tackling the harder questions on the GRE.

Helped so much on the math portion. Not only have I not taken a formal math class in over 10 years, I work full time so the videos were great. They broke everything down into easily understood bite sized pieces that I could fit into my busy schedule.

Magoosh was just what I needed: tons of practice that allowed me to identify my weaknesses and pursue strategically focused study.

I also found the online environment very stimulating. Being able to monitor my progress and seeing how my predicted scores kept getting better was almost addictive, motivating me to keep going and trying to beat my performance in previous practice sessions.

Magoosh was a fantastic way to supplement the material I used to study for the GRE. The flexibility and the quality of the questions really helped me raise my score.

Helped in quite a few ways. To begin with, it's really systematic and very well organised which helped in getting my bearings sorted, so to speak, regarding how to proceed with the preparation. The study plans were a great starting point.

The number and the quality of the questions and their corresponding video explanations and lessons were pretty much top notch. Easy to understand and easy to remember.It had a great range of easy, hard and very hard questions which helped quite a bit. Especially useful to have a good number of hard and very hard questions which help tremendously in preparing for the tricky bits of the test.

The general interface is very comfortable and easy to use. Helps having the apps which covers videos and vocabulary that you can use on the go. The reviewing feature (which includes the flags, the way you can sort the questions out with regards to their difficulty or the concept) was remarkably useful and made reviewing past problems that I struggled with, so much systematic.

I think it was money really well spent.

The questions in Magoosh covered every concept needed for the GRE and video instructions for the questions were very helpful. The study plans helped in organizing the preparation. Also the flashcard app is an amazing tool for learning the GRE vocabulary.

Overall, Magoosh is the most effective way to prepare for GRE.

I got a lot of practice, some of the questions are actually harder than the test but they trained me well so that I was able to do the test with ease.

Magoosh was SO useful. I loved the video lesson format and all the quizzes/practice options. The fact that you could custom-tailor a quiz to whatever topics you wanted to focus on was great for honing specific skills. If I could do it over, I would probably spend more time doing practice tests and less time obsessing over finishing all the videos. But, all the time I spent on the site contributed to my overall learning so it was absolutely a good investment. The timed mock exams really helped me improve my pacing, and it felt great eventually getting all Hard and Very Hard math questions - made the actual test seem much more accessible.

It helped me to study at my own pace. I was able to check my progress and predicted score. It gave me a good judgment about my preparation.

I just bought Magoosh the week before my GRE test, and only used it for 5-6 days. But it helped me figure out my weakness and the explanations are very helpful! And I got familiar with the test through using Magoosh. So when I attend the actual GRE test I was a lot less nervous than before. I wish I bought it 3 months before the test!

Highly motivated me to start learning; get a clearer idea of how to tackle the problems

Magoosh allowed me to recognize my weak spots and target those problem areas that were giving me trouble. I love that Magoosh gave me the ability to create a Custom Practice session for exactly that. Additionally, the vocabulary flashcards were such a great tool - I wish I'd been able to finish all the decks before my test date!

The study plan available online is well-made. The videos cover all knowledge you need to succeed on the actual test, and the problems in Magoosh are similar/harder than the actual questions. Magoosh is all I used (outside of the Official Guide which I just bought for the 2 extra practice exams) to score 331. It is very fairly priced and extremely effective. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Magoosh provided content that mirrored the test. When I took the test I felt comfortable. I've done something similar 1000 times.

Since I was working full time while studying for the GRE, and Magoosh allowed me to prepare on my own schedule. It helped me learn the common "tricks" of the test in order to prepare most strategically.

Magoosh offers great verbal questions, helping me prepare for the difficult questions in the real exam. And "Very Hard" Math questions help me find out my problem in math.
