You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh was amazing! I wasn't too happy with my previous score, and so I spent the few months leading up to my test doing every single problem. There is no way around it - you have to practice. And magoosh offered so many problems with detailed explanations for the ones I got wrong. Just when I thought I knew every way I could be asked a geometry problem, they would throw in a curveball that forced you to look at a problem from a new perspective. More than anything, Magoosh taught me how to instinctively work through problems quickly and efficiently.

Magoosh helped a lot throughout my preparation. I had a month for preparation and Magoosh helped me set a schedule that I could follow and keep pace with. The question bank was very extensive and solving those presented a picture of the actual test. I wish to thank the Magoosh team for answering all my queries on the go.

Magoosh was absolutely awesome and I really appreciated all of the practice problems and video lessons. I watched every math lesson and did all the vocab flashcards and exceeded my target score by 5 points on my first time ever taking the GRE. The user interface was super easy to use and I loved the dashboard that kept track of your progress and estimated your score (it was correct!) and there weren't any surprises on the actual test. I only used Magoosh to study and feel like I was very well prepared because of it. I also loved how there were video explanations as well as text explanations for every single practice problem. Using Magoosh also made the experience of studying for the GRE not absolutely dreadful, and the way it is structured motivated me to keep doing practice problems in order to see my dashboard score increase. Overall I am so glad that I chose to study with Magoosh and am thankful for all the hard work you guys put in to making the GRE a conquerable feat!

Magoosh played a key role by providing video solutions to every problem at the same time, lectures that provide you how to tackle a particular problem. The plethora of questions that they provide should easily help you to apply and master the techniques that they teach you.

Math questions were challenging enough to prepare me for the actual test.

I hadn't looked at typical GRE / standardized test sort of questions in a long time. It got me back in to gear with lots of example questions. Also it helped me a lot on the writing.

Magoosh provided an effective structure to my studying plan. I wouldn't have known where to start without it. The video lessons and explanations really helped cement key ideas in my memory.

My first practice test, I scored a 316 (156 verbal, 160 math). Magoosh increased my score by 16 points!!! Great study schedules, practice problems, practice tests, instructional videos (both for lessons and as explanations to practice problems), and EXCEPTIONAL feedback from the team when I wrote in to ask follow-up questions about the practice problems. Also, I love the vocabulary flashcards! All in all, Magoosh’s platform was an extremely affordable, sure-fire way for me to increase my score.

It really helped with some shortcut math tricks that speeded up my calculations and the overall level of the verbal questions was at par with the actual GRE, so the verbal preparations was a great help.

I had not taken a math course in college and therefore had not thought much about math for five years. When I started studying for the GRE I found that my number sense had suffered terribly. Magoosh helped me cultivate that number sense in addition to providing me with a whole host of services that helped me earn a perfect score on the verbal section. Really rehashing the math concepts - I have a fairly quantitative background, but I had forgotten so much!

Magoosh provides an extraordinary online test-taking system with realistic verbal and quantitative questions that help me to get familiar with the real GRE questions and also to develop my own pacing strategy. In addition, I can track my own record in various ways via the system, which helps me to understand my progress during my preparation. Also, the harder questions also come with exhaustive answers and FAQs that get me through the logic of the questions. Finally, Magoosh can precisely estimate my true score which is amazing and reassuring. All in all, I truly recommend Magoosh to whom wanna succeed in the GRE.

Magoosh helped me with setting up a comprehensive schedule for the limited time I had. I was able to cover all topics within the 1 month period. The video explanations are the biggest plus with Magoosh. My practice score at the beginning of the month was 315 and it improved to 324 towards the end of the month. My actual GRE score of 329 was possible because of the unique teaching methods of Magoosh.

Great lectures! Being able to skip to the end to see the Summary really helped in identifying what I needed additional help on.

I was already strong on verbal, having recently majored in English literature, but the practice questions allowed me to develop speed and accuracy within the test format. Contrastingly, I was very nervous about the math section since I hadn’t studied any math in 5 years, but the math videos were extremely useful for relearning topics. I appreciated having the ability to change the speed of the videos so that I could fly through familiar topics, while slowing down to really absorb difficult ones. Overall, my scores on both sections were higher than I anticipated.

All the math videos on Magoosh helped me brush up my quant skills and the verbal videos were equally helpful. The Magoosh Vocabulary Builder app was invaluable in my preparation. Following the Magoosh study plan actually gave me some direction on how I should go about preparing for the test.

Love love loved the 6 month study plan article. It kept me on track! I did not have more than an hour to study most days, so that long term pacing was invaluable. I also really appreciated the vocab words. I saw tons of them on the actual test and know for a fact that I would’ve been stumped on certain questions had I not memorized them.

VERY detailed study plans, thorough lesson videos, ample practice questions and an enjoyable module interface.
