You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Amazing lessons with anazing questions

Magoosh helped me by boosting my confidence and technique in both the verbal and the quantitative section. At the start I was getting about half of the practice verbal questions right, and by the end it was up to 8/10 - 9/10. I also consistently used the flash cards which helped to expand my vocabulary. These new words did appear on the test, and I would not have known them without the practice. I managed to get a 168 on the quantitative section, and a 164 on the verbal section.

Magoosh provided all the strategies, practice problems, and applications I needed to prepare on my own time throughout the summer! I never felt like there wasn’t some place for me to improve, and thanks to Magoosh I was successful on the app.

The math lessons were incredibly helpful. I majored in studio art for my undergrad, so I hadn’t had any exposure to math in years. The video lessons helped me brush up on my rusty quantitative skills. Additionally, the verbal practice questions along with the vocab builder and flash card apps drastically improved my vocabulary.

I first took the GRE a little over a year ago after having taken an in-person course with another test prep company and scored a 158 Quant and 159 Verbal. I wasn't very happy with my score so I planned to take it again. I studied full-time for a month using Magoosh and the one-month study plan and scored a 164 Quant and 167 Verbal! The lesson videos were incredibly helpful, the app made the entire platform highly portable and the explanation videos after each practice problem really made a difference.

Helped me target the areas I needed to brush up on quickly (counting, passage reading) to minimize my time spent studying while maximizing my score. I work full time so I needed an efficient study tool.

Prepared me in ways books couldn’t. Simulated test like experiences and gave me countless tips and tricks.

The practice problems were incredibly helpful, as was the feature for customizing practice sessions. Repetition, for me, is key in recognizing patterns easily and Magoosh provides such a large pool of practice questions I was able to familiarize myself with common patterns/formulas seen on the quant section.

Magoosh helped me sharpen my math skills for the test and it taught me a tremendous amount of useful information for the verbal section. Without the help I got from Magoosh I would have scored 10-15 points less overall.

Maths lessons and problems helped out a lot in cementing the basics of gre maths.

The quant lessons were EXTREMELY helpful, especially for things like finding the number of prime factors, finding the units digit of some large number to some number, and counting questions. The vocab flashcards for common words were also very helpful for verbal. I also got quite a bit of help from the practice questions and my single one-hour math tutoring session. Practice test was also immensely helpful and pretty reflective of my accurate score.

Practice problems helped me learn which tricks to look out for on math problems. Flash cards helped vocabulary improve slightly.

Magoosh helped me skim through the explanations. It helped me avoid silly mistakes in the quant section, and the tips on each question helped me analyse and improve myself. Verbal was my weak section, in the beginning I started off with a 145 score and improved till 157 through videos and practice. Flash cards too were super helpful !!! Thanks a lot Magoosh!!

Magoosh helped me by walking me through the math section starting with the basics and building on those skills.By comparing my projected verbal and math scores, I felt confident in my verbal skills, freeing me up to focus on the quant section. Also, by providing me with very challenging math questions, I could push myself further and feel like the real quant was easy by comparison.

Magoosh streamlined the process for me by giving me exactly what I needed to study/learn in a short time frame. I had only a month AND I was working full time, so the program was helpful by giving me a day by day breakdown of everything I should do.

Practice problems with varying difficulty and custom tests helped a lot. Vocabulary flashcards were extremely helpful.
The question banks were more than sufficient for me (didn't refer anything else except a bit of Reading comprehension questions from the 5lb manhattan book). In the last week, I only solved the very hard/hard questions of both sections which covered most concepts.

I absolutely loved studying with Magoosh. The videos are amazing, they made everything simple for me. I was very weak in verbal in the beginning but Magoosh taught me how to answer each question type analytically. The teachers are really great! I am very thankful to Magoosh.
