when exactly can I retake the test?

Hi everyone,

I took that GRE test on the 08.03.2016. I'd like to register for a session on the 07.04.2016. So far so good. Now I have a huge dilemma. I'd like to have another shot (you know, as safety). Would it be possible if I take the exam on the 07.04.2016 to take another one on the 29.04.2016? Would the 21 days be respected?

I'm asking because I'm not sure whether the 21 days starts the day you take the test or the day after..

Thanks a lot guys

Hi Yasmine,

Firstly, I hope your exam went well! :)

Good question! The day after you exam counts as day 1 of the 21 day period that you have to wait between exams. So, if you've taken your exam on 7 April, the next date you can take the exam is 28 April. That being said, depending on how much you'd like to improve your scores between exams, it may be better to wait a little longer to give yourself more time to prepare.

For some perspectives on how to study for a retake, if you end up want to do so, definitely check out our blog :D I think you'll find the following article particular useful :)

Hope this helps!
