You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I listened to the lessons again and again. I have done practice tests and watched the video explanations. that was sufficient to strengthen my concepts

The math questions of Magoosh have more traps than that of GRE test. It helped me to avoid all the traps in the real test. For Chinese students, it is the traps rather than hard questions that would prevent them from 170.

I needed a lot of help in the Verbal Section, and Magoosh came to my rescue. With a month's preparation, I believe it is not possible to drastically improve your RC ability. But as far as TC and SE are concerned. Magoosh proved extraordinary. Within a few weeks of prep, hunting for context clues to arrive at the correct answer became effortless. I could actually feel myself confident while marking answers on the test !

The flashcards app deserves a special mention. Prompt replies to queries, authentic mock test-taking experience (Even the real Powerprep doesn't include the experimental section, which Magoosh does), and an awesome blog to supplement my studies - all were pivotal in getting a good score on D-Day.

A lot. The questions on Magoosh are very close to the actual GRE in terms of the skills required and difficulty level. It gave me excellent practice and a very good idea of the kind of questions I could expect on the real test.

The video lessons, timed practice and per question explanations were very good.

I think it helped me all around, for all sections and with vocab. I was really focused on improving my math. I would have liked to score a little higher in Math, but improved nonetheless

The pattern of the mock tests was able to simulate the actual test. Even the idea of having an experimental section was spot on. I had taken the free tests form other sites , but they missed the experimental section in their mock tests.

Organize my study and study questions.

Magoosh has excellent videos with practice questions embedded in them. There are also lots of questions similar to what is on the actual GRE. The blogs have very good and relevant information in them. The timer and the average speed of others is great to have while doing questions. In fact, this is vital to effective practicing because time is a critical factor on the GRE.

Magoosh helped me tackle the verbal section with very enriching lessons and methods. It also helped me refine my quantitative skills and score well.

The Magoosh Vocabulary Flashcard is very helpful! It contains the most important 1000 words for GRE verbal, which saves me lots of time to remember the necessary vocabulary for verbal! And also, the methods introduced for verbal section are very helpful, which greatly improve my verbal! Thank Magoosh team very much!

Magoosh was remarkably on point with the practice tests and the practice questions. The lectures are informative and helpful; notable mention must be made to the lectures on Reading Comprehension and their strategies to attack specific question types. The video explanations at the end of every question is clear and concise...really great job across the board!

Was a really great resource in that it was flexible (I could listen to the videos anywhere, any time on my schedule) and pretty thorough. I thought using the product and all of the extras (vocab and math flashcards) was really easy and convenient. I appreciated the amount of information and help that was available.

Magoosh lessons provide great strategies for tackling the verbal section without a heavy dependence on building an expansive vocabulary of GRE words and also the Magoosh question bank is is really good practice material.

Teach me all the techniques needed in the verbal sections and get me familiar with the highest difficulty level.

Magoosh is the best tool for GRE prep. It allows me to take exams on pc. The questions are very good and similar to real GRE questions. Besides, the officers always respond to my questions in 24 hours and the responses are always beneficial.

I was much more prepared to take the test. Also, had better strategy. Would have liked to score in 159-161 range for Verbal though. Unsure of how I did in Writing, but expect a 4.5 (the same score that I had previously).
