You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I actually did take the GRE once before and did fine on it. That was in 1988. I've had plenty of opportunity to forget everything, especially math. Magoosh was a treasure of great information and sympathetic practical advice in a format that was accessible to someone trying to take classes and work full time. The sense that people like me were part of the target audience was also crucial in helping to build confidence for the test. Additionally, I don't know what Chris and Mike are like in person (or if they even really exist ;-) but their videos were both humorous and instructive. Finally, the practice questions were spot on. Concepts and useful strategies

I had only 10 days to prepare for GRE. And this was my first attempt. If it weren't for Magoosh, preparing in this much time wouldn't have been possible. The lectures are superb. The practice questions are great. Everything was great. In fact i took one magoosh practice test 2 days before my actual GRE and got exactly the same total on the actual GRE.

I was very scared of the verbal section of the GRE, but the magoosh videos helped me learn the teachnique. Also, the magoosh vocabulary app is pretty accurate.I didn't have time to do quant from magoosh but i am sure it would have helped a lot.

It helped me review math topics and get familiar with question styles. Practice problems are the way to go and I loved the video explanations with every single question.

It helped me to get accustomed to various kinds of GRE problems, and its vocab builder and "Guide to GRE vocab" nearly doubled my vocabulary.

I liked the breadth of the subjects covered and the explanations. The splitting into different review sections including the difficulty levels was very helpful. The dashboard is a indeed a thing of marvel. I really liked that I could come home after work everyday and start on timed 20 question sets of Q and V.

I credit Magoosh for my significant improvement from practice to actual test. I thought that the Manhattan tests were a great compliment, as the material was typically pretty hard (harder than on the actual GRE in my experience).
