I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The videos explaining the questions are really helpful. The arrangement of math lessons are constructive and friendly, that I've picked up those concepts without feeling frustrated.

I think Magoosh helped me a lot because of the unique questions in Magoosh. Like math, the questions are full of traps so that you have to be more cautious. And the average difficulty of verbal section, in my view, is harder than that in actual GRE test. Though I'm not a native speaker, I still regard Magoosh as my first choice. I would take GRE test a few months later again to improve Verbal points.

This has become my favorite test prep tool. The comprehensive explanation for each problem was a big plus.

Introduced me to the test itself and explained unfamiliar concepts. Great software, now hoping for the material to lift my second GRE to a 165/165 level.

I focused just on the math videos. I'd used prep books from the library (Kaplan, Barron's, etc.) before my first attempt at the GRE and was very disappointed in my math score--they didn't prepare me for the type of math I actually encountered, while Magoosh did. I didn't find Magoosh until too late in the game the first time around, and I also thought going through the prep books and free websites would suffice. This is definitely worth paying for. I didn't have much time to prepare for a retake; had I, I anticipate my math score would've gone up even higher. Given the short amount of time I had (what equated to less than 3 weeks), improving 4 points was good.

It helped me to practice in conditions similar to the test and also through the explanations of the questions and related lessons, to improve on my weakest areas.

Magoosh changed the way I fundamentally thought when studying for the GRE. Between my first mock exams and my final, I jumped 13 points, none of which were as high as my actual score. The videos are insanely helpful to visit again and again. I watched the practice videos, did a lot of practice (both on Magoosh and the ones suggested in Magoosh's study plans), then watched the videos again to see what stuck and what didn't.

The vocabulary flashcards probably bumped my score 5 points higher than it otherwise would have been.
The math flashcards were also great because it reinforced some of the general rules that came up in the videos, and helped me apply them to actual GRE questions.

(There doesn't seem to be a section for AWA scoring, but the AWA videos really helped me organize the way I think about timed writing, and helped me get a high score in that as well.)

I definitely got used to the kinds of questions asked beforehand, which helped a lot with pacing.

I wish you could have a service that helps students to improve writing part or at least haves some lessons about writing part.

I liked the video explanations, both for the questions and the concepts.
I went through all the math, and flag ones that I was particularly stumped on. I went back through the math and did all the ones I got wrong. Then I went back through and did all the flagged ones. I wish I had time to do this for the verbal.

I really liked the flash card app and how it randomizes the cards.

Both my math and analytical writing scores improved significantly as a result of using Magoosh. I scored in the 98th percentile on the writing portion and the Verbal and improved my Math score by 5 points. The video tutorials were fantastic.

Magoosh practice sessions were great. The lesson videos are outstanding, especially for the math. These lessons were both rigorous and at the same time understandable. I felt like both abstract concepts and real world examples were emphasized during these lessons, a combination which really made the material "stick".

Magoosh helped me brush up on my math and gave me some great strategies for the verbal questions.

I started Magoosh around two months before my first test. For verbal I mostly used the flash cards whose vocabulary was remarkably well-matched to the test. I encountered dozens of words between both tests that I had learned from Magoosh and very few (less than 5 per test) that I did not know and were not covered in Magoosh.

For math, by far my weaker subject, I watched all the Magoosh lessons and did a few hundred practice problems. This was excellent preparation. The problems were, on average, harder than those on the real test and covered all of the same material. Again, little to nothing on the tests was not covered in Magoosh. The similar interface, mix of problems, and timing features on Magoosh allowed me to practice not just the material but also test-taking strategies.

Awesomely hard math questions made most of the math on the actual GRE seem really easy.

In every way possible because i used only magoosh and nothing else to prepare for GRE.
