You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh presented a very comprehensive picture for me in terms of the logic and approach for GRE test. It wouldn't have been possible without the help!

Magoosh did a fantastic job about creating a tailored program perfect for my study pace and style. I followed the three-month math intensive course, and the results speak for themselves. My math score increased by 5 points, and my verbal by 10. What I loved about the plan was that it kept me accountable and created a very doable, consistent study regimen. There was no memorization, no blind following of directions. Every topic was carefully explained and I was always provided the means to deepen my understanding. Plus, when I identified a weakness, I was able to customize the format of my study plan to make sure I focussed more diligently in that area. I felt incredibly prepared for the GRE, and I have Magoosh to thank for that.

The question bank was extremely helpful for a self-structured study routine. It really helped to be able to select specific question types based on what I needed to practice. The explanations are also quite helpful.

The abundance of practice questions were instrumental in my practice for the Verbal and Quant sections. Moreover, the difficulty of the questions is perfect and the flashcards were important to improve my vocabulary.

Magoosh improved my learning skills on Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence very much. The rationales behind the answers really help!

Put in one word, everything :) Though I am disappointed in my Verbal score,( and kinda my math score..It was really simple) I couldn't have done half as nearly as good with your team :) To be honest, I didn't refer to mostly all the videos as I have a very VERY weird way of studying - Solve only questions...questions, questions, questions :) Challenges are what impresses me , and your questions sure did :) Since I am quite okay with maths from before only, so I focused on Verbal ( tried to, but GRE makes you believe that even if you do know English, you don't really KNOW it.....every question is like...."Seriously, where do these words come from?, give me a break!" xD But the bottomline, credit to your team and do continue your awesome work :') :')

help me a lot in practicing

It really helped me understand the fundamental aspects that the test was trying to test me on. My only regret is that I only prepared for 3 weeks with Magoosh. I am confident that Magoosh will help me for thelast step of the journey in achieving my target score.

Explained how to do APA really well

I benefitted from the lessons and the practice questions, but the overall study plan have the best direction. I used all of flash card apps for both math and verbal as well as the recommended resources, Manhattan Prep book/tests and the Official GRE book. I took a total of 7 practice tests. I was disappointed in the math results, but I just needed more time to move from exposure to second nature level. I found the verbal strategies to be helpful as well.

I think it helped most with my math. I hadn't taken a math class in 15 or more years so the math refresher was very helpful. Also, more generally, the practice questions were extremely useful for getting me comfortable with the style of questions for both Math and verbal.

It was my first time taking the GRE, but I knew the math would destroy me without some recap. The vocabulary flashcards were surprisingly helpful. After a gruelling four hour battle I emerged victorious, with only a few surface wounds. So a dramatic interpretation might read something like, "Magoosh prepared me for battle and saved me from the fiery wrath of the GRE."

Magoosh offers a great website. It is extremely user friendly and simple to use. The videos are to the point and simple to interpret. Thank you.

Was useful in helping me plan my studies effectively. The practice tests helped a lot

Maths- The videos helped me get my basics right.
Verbal- I did words only from the Magoosh App, and I think those were enough. The video explanation in the practice questions was excellent.

Magoosh provided excellent study plans for me to use, plus the overall breadth of questions was extremely helpful to prepare for the actual test. I felt like I had covered every single topic I encountered on the real test. Thanks for helping me feel so prepared!

Magoosh is a great online study tool. It's rare, at least in my experience, to come across an online study tool that actually provides meaningful material and well thought out explanations. Typically, I just see a mediocre rehash of the same material printed in those prep books (*cough* looking at you Kaplan).

The freedom that Magoosh lends to its users in regards to customizing practice sessions is simply invaluable. I also really loved that each question had a video explanation and a detailed text explanation for when I was too lazy to watch a 2 minute video.

The Magoosh help line was also prompt in addressing any further questions I had or needed clarification on - which just added to the overall impression of Magoosh as a service.
