You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I could rely on the material blindly. The effort put behind Magoosh is tremendously impressive and does help in every sense, from concept learning to practicing.

I think Magoosh helped a lot with Math. I used it also for vocabulary building.

I love Chris's voice for verbal- not only was it soothing but he made me crack up by tossing in a few funny comments which was really needed especially when I was stressed.

Covered Quantitative concepts pretty well. I have a decent grasp on math already so it just helped with certain GRE tricks. Verbal I mainly used the lessons and the flashcards, both very helpful for both GRE use and general use.

Magoosh's video lecture provided a lot of clarity on certain confounding Math topics. The pool of questions available was also extremely useful and the practice question sessions were well constructed. The vocabulary flashcards were helpful in providing the proper use of the words in a sentence. The staff was extremely courteous as well as prompt in answering queries. Thank you for all the support during this phase.

The math practice was very very useful. It helped a lot.

The vocab was great and the study plans were also helpful. The self-directed practice and learning helped me to zero in on the things that I needed to study most to improve my score within a short amount of time.

Though learning from the lessons and practice on the questions in less than a month, I improved my GRE score from 320 to 327. The lessons not only teach about the knowledges we need to know for the test in a very organised and efficient way, but also instruct on useful tips to crack the questions. The practice questions are marked with degree of difficulties(easy, medium hard, very hard) so students can customise their own practice according to their own level and goal.

It helped me understand the principles and underlying framework behind the test. This helped me better strategize. It also helped me in relearning concepts in math that I hadn't used since high school.

In math, I already was fairly strong with statistics and basic arithmetic. This allowed me to focus on the principles and concepts. The most useful topic I reviewed in math was probably on right triangles and coordinate geometry. I used the 60/30/90 Pythagorean triplet multiple times on the test. I also didn't use any scratch paper while reviewing and hardly used my calculator. This helped me in not relying on it during the test.

The other trick I found very useful was the estimation tricks. This was useful in some multiple choice questions and helped me avoid tedious calculations when estimating to a close enough number got me to the correct answer.

When it came to the text completion section, I think remembering to go with unfamiliar words over familiar words that almost fit was very useful.

Magoosh is amazing! It has been 2 years since my last GRE test. And this time I only had 1 month to prepare. I was desperate!
Basically I used the flashcard app to memorize words, and at the same time do the exercises. The explaination video are very helpful! Best review material for the GRE test!

Gave me a deeper math sense and understanding of fomula so I was not just plugging in numbers. I was able to study on the go on my phone. I loved the video explanations both the lessons and ones after practice questions. I loved the score range feed back and being able to see how long I was spending on questions so I could work on test day strategy (what time sucking questions should I skip on test day). I loved the review aspect and could assess different data points like what topics I was struggling with (percent correct or because time).

I only had one month to prep for the GRE and Magoosh offered me the flexibility to focus on the areas I needed help with. The amount of practice questions was invaluable! I was able to complete almost all of them and by the time the test rolled around, I felt much more confident and at ease in the testing environment. I used a book the first time I took the test and while I learned a lot, it didn't mimic the environment like Magoosh. Overall very happy with my improvement!
