I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh provides excellent practice problems that really help you to master the GRE way of thinking. Coming into my GRE study month, I had difficulty understanding the reasoning behind certain problems, such that I would stumble while trying to go through unnecessary calculations. Thanks to Magoosh, I had none of that on my actual test. I am very happy to have purchased Magoosh and I believe that it represents excellent value-for-money.

Magoosh undoubtedly has played a crucial part in my GRE preparation. The video tutorials were absolutely amazing! I especially focused on the Math lessons which remarkably matched my requirements. The best part about the lessons was that they emphasized on the underlying concepts rather than just teaching the formulae. The lessons were clear, short and effective. I would highly recommend Magoosh for anyone preparing for the GRE!

The verbal questions were very helpful to approximate the feel of the GRE. The math guides were very intuitive and covered just about everything the GRE could throw your way.

Based on comparison with unofficial practice tests from earlier this summer, I improved both my math and verbal scores by over ten points! Also, as I was taking the exam, I noticed question after question where I was able to apply concepts I learned in the tutorials. I also found the quant section in the actual exam to be much easier than the problems I did here.

Relearn simple math/ Learn new words

I am a late 30's career changing mom of a 2.5 year old who studied during his afternoon naps. After doing some practice problems online and realizing how difficult they were I decided to do some research and found Magoosh mentioned in a blog post. My last calculus class was in undergraduate 20 year ago. Mike McGarry was a godsend and I basically believe that if I had ever had a math teacher as talented when I was in middle/high school then my relationship to math would have been very different. I actually enjoyed studying even though I felt frequently overwhelmed by the enormous task of relearning everything during the 7 weeks of my summer break from teaching. I just wanted to get an average math score, as I am applying to Education not Engineering programs, and to boost my already above average verbal tendencies. I was so happy to be able to do that and to genuinely feel that I was not wasting my time while studying but rather accessing a part of my brain that had been asleep for awhile. I am SO glad that I did not waste travel time, childcare $ plus the exhorbitant cost of tuition to attend the Kaplan class nearby.

I used practically all the math videos to brush up on all those concepts. I liked the ability to do practice questions and the ability to choose the difficulty and subtopics. I used one of the study plans as a rough guideline and it was nice to know where to start.

Helped me feel confident on the Math and prepare for the kinds of questions that would be asked on Verbal. I am weak at Math, strong at Verbal. Magoosh helped me go from a 150-155 on Math, to get in range for the schools I wanted to apply for.

Flashcards - words were great. Video Lessons were the closest thing I've gotten to classroom lessons without having to pay a lot. Math exercises were great, verbal questions and explanations helped me think through the problems in a better way.

The math lessons were tremendously helpful at refreshing my understanding of concepts I haven't referenced for many years.

Simply put, using Magoosh is the best way to prepare for the GRE. My math skills were OK so I was only looking for practice questions of high quality and that's exactly what I found As a non-native speaker, I was intimidated and cowed by obscure GRE vocabulary. However, Magoosh GRE Vocabulary flashcards app helped me to overcome this fear and start to learn and understand (!!!) the words. Moreover, Vocab Wednesdays with Chris are just awesome! I've seen a few words from these videos on my test day so I would highly recommend watching them.

Magoosh helped me immensely especially with my weakness aka Verbal. The vocabulary covered and the range of practise questions available helped me to improve my average practise scores which were around 157 to 163.

Questions are representative of the real test questions. Explanations are also great.

Magoosh helped me identify my weak points and stengthen them. The quality of questions and explanations is quite high and made the gre seem quite easy!

The lessons, especially the math review, helped a lot! Remembering high school math can be a challenge. Also, doing practice questions on the computer and then seeing your predicted score is very helpful and motivating! I also really liked your vocab apps.

Being able to track how long each question took was pretty nice. The vocabulary flashcards were also helpful. The math lessons, and the video explanations of each practice problem, were probably what helped me the most.

Magoosh was more difficult than the actual test, in my opinion, so it made test day seem easier. Also, video explanations coupled with a text version provided any feedback necessary.

It helped me understand what the test questions would be like. I felt very comfortable when taking the actual test because it felt very familiar.
