You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The math section was EXCELLENT. I hadn't seen most of the math on the GRE since high my sophomore year of high school (7 years ago). The math videos provided an incredibly thorough refresher while also teaching me some awesome tricks that have genuinely rekindled my love of problem solving. I may keep finish the math videos even though I don't plan on retaking the test!

All of the math videos and practice questions were very helpful! The study plan suggested by Magoosh kept me on track and the practice tests made the real test feel familiar. The vocab flash cards were great too.

The custom practice was a very handy feature. I was able to practice under timed conditions and with preferred difficulty levels. Practicing the "Very Hard" math problems made GRE math seem super easy - so easy that I was almost paranoid and double/triple checked my answers to make sure I was not falling pray to some sneaky trap like the Magoosh Very Hard problems come with.

-great to have so many questions to practice with, loved that I never really had the feeling that i was going through questions too quickly as I do with other books that only supply 20-30 questions
-liked how the online programs abilities allowed a variety of functions that you couldn't do with a hardcopy textbook including flagging questions, organizing by topics, producing tests, creating time limit/question limit scenarios, etc.

Practice problems were abundant and of high quality. Chris Lele's jokes sometimes made an unexpectedly good mental boost, which was a nice bonus.

Top quality course material, especially the way lessons are built and the user-interface.

Math instructor's explanation is top class. Despite being an engineer with developed methods to solve problems, I found I could still save time.

The video explanations of specific questions along with links to relevant video lessons were a great way to learn the subject matter. I really liked the vocabulary flashcards mobile application and I definitely used the study plans on the site.

I used all of the math lessons, which were extremely helpful. Magoosh's practice questions and practice tests were more difficult than any other GRE prep books that I had found, so I really felt prepared for the difficulty level of the actual test. The blog was also useful. I adhered to the 4 week study plan and I found it really helpful to have all of my days planned for me.

Unlike other prep courses that just teach you short cuts and superficial understanding of concepts, the Magoosh teams goes above and beyond explaining those troublesome math concepts. I needed help with my math section and I came to the best place. No need to spend thousands of dollars on other companies. Went from a 151 practice math to 160. I'll take that any day... :)

Video lessons were excellent, running the gamut from "a helpful review" to "I would have had no idea how to do that." The plethora of practice questions accurately simulated the varying difficulty of questions on the actual GRE, and in some cases were much harder. I barely touched the other resources I had acquired to study for the GRE.

The review videos on the fundamentals of math were great, I didn't remember much from high school math so they were invaluable.

It gave me structure to study and made studying very bearable while I was also working 40 hours a week! I really felt like I had a team working with me. Also, having a study plan laid out ahead of time was very helpful. The practice tests and surplus of questions made me feel very prepared by the time I got to the test, especially since they were formatted in a very similar way as the computer-based test

Magoosh helped me review math concepts that I had not used for a while and helped me practice for the specific question types on the GRE.

I liked the clear explanations on key concepts provided by Magoosh's videos, and the ample practice that I received, even during the lessons themselves!
