You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The verbal questions on magoosh are so great, although they are a bit more difficult than the real exam, but Magoosh helped me a lot!

Magoosh was amazing! It provided me with a pool of questions that were exactly like the ones ETS like to dish out. It gave me detailed answers to every question and got my doubts cleared in the most friendly way possible ;) The score predictor was spot on! I got comparatively less time to study this time, because I work full time (the last time I gave the GRE I was a student). Inspite of that I managed to increase my score by 6 points! THANKS! :')

I was most worried about my Quantitative score as it had been quite some time since I'd been exposed to some of the math involved. I originally acquired 2 books with which to study, but realized that the practice questions weren't going to help me re-learn how to approach them! That's when I turned to Magoosh. I watched all of the math lessons, some more than once. Then I drilled myself with practice questions and took an average of 3 practice tests per week during the month I studied. Obviously it all paid off!

I've recommended the program to all of my peers getting ready to take the GRE. I went into the test much more prepared than I would have been otherwise and felt extremely confident and relaxed. I'm very glad I found you!

Helped me to review topics. Taught me new vocabulary words. Instructional videos were very effective--it was much easier to make myself watch a few videos than it would have been for me to make myself read the same information. Practice tests were helpful for pacing. Having links to suggested videos for specific questions was helpful.

The verbal video lessons were excellent. The level of questions were also pretty good.

Due to the easy availability of the Magoosh Android App, I was able to learn most of my lessons during the long 2 hour one-way journey to work!

Magoosh is just amazing! All the way from the video lessons to the magoosh blog. Every question was explained cogently. I don't think there's any better resource for the GRE other than magoosh.

Helped me have a consistent computer based place to conduct my studying. It allowed me to focus on developing my speed with testing and also gave me a place to practice with flash cards. The review lessons were also very helpful. Overall priced very reasonable as well.

I primarily used Magoosh to upgrade my Quant skills to the next level as I would be applying for Computer Engineering courses, where a 90% and above Quant percentile is the norm. Magoosh helped me align my perspective on Quant problems. It made me realize that Quant wasn't about math or formulae, it was simply a set of puzzles, that I could solve. Magoosh burnished me with the knack to break apart any sort of GRE level math puzzle into it's fundamentals.

Moreover, Magoosh helped me forge my pace. Whenever I practised problems from the Magoosh's massive store of questions, I employed the "Customize your practice" option to take sets of 20 questions in 35 minutes. This helped temper my sense of time that I spent on each question and polish my rate of performing fundamental math.

On test day, I had 10~12 minutes remaining on every math section, and I had three of them. I couldn't even differentiate between the easy and the hard sections, for they all looked the same to me - math puzzles, waiting to cracked open. I used the extra time to double-check every answer. All the anxiety that I had felt before the exam vanished the moment I began my Quant section. As obnoxious as this might sound, but at that moment, there was only the Puzzle and me.

I got a 170 on Quant and I believe that's perfect for Comp. Engg courses. Though, I do regret letting myself get complacent and scoring a mediocre 158 on Verbal. I barely consumed Magoosh's arsenal on Verbal, while I voraciously depleted the Quant one. In retrospect, if I had used both to an equal measure, I might have had a pair of stellar scores.

I did not practice the Math, because I knew that I can get what I want and 153 was enough for me. In verbal, dear Magoosh helped me by familiarizing the G.R.E tricks. Fortunately these tricks are limited and I did not get shocked at all facing one question after the other in real G.R.E exam. Although the score estimating my verbal performance in the Magoosh was between 151-156 but I got 159 in the real test.

The number of problems available was great, and also the fact that they were a bit harder than the actual GRE questions tended to be was a good thing (I'm glad I didn't know that).

Vocab App, Math questions were harder on magoosh than actual GRE so prepared me well for the actual test

Magoosh's video lessons helped me brush up on my rusty math and verbal skills(I graduated from college more than 15 years back) in a very short period of about one month. Chris Lele's blog(especially Vocab Wednesday), and the flashcards were of great help in improving vocab. Based on Chris's suggestion, I supplemented my one month Magoosh plan with the "MGRE 5 lb of GRE practice Problems" and the end result is good. Some more practice would have helped me achieve my targeted math score of 167+, but overall, I am quite happy with Magoosh's study material.

The video explanations of the key concepts were a great refresher for concepts that I had not covered for some time. The iPhone flashcard apps for both vocabulary and math concepts were a nice way to throw in a few minutes of review while I was on the go. The test bank of questions was a big help. The single biggest arbiter of success on the GRE is taking as many practice tests as you can before the fact. The same held true for the MCAT when I took it. Try every question you can get your hands on, including Magoosh's test questions. You'll be glad you did!

Magoosh helped me study for GRE in a very systematic way. The math and verbal lessons were really good. The Magoosh eBook and the flashcards are great ! The raft of questions offered by Magoosh beats everyone else in the business . The scores I got on practice tests were very close to what I got on my GRE. Thanks a lot Magoosh!

Loved the videos and the great customer service; I was able to get a lot of practice in, and get a lot of help when I needed it. The lesson videos were clear and instructive, and the problem videos combined with the text explanation was perfect for working through problems. I was really impressed with the staff; they responded within 24 hours to almost every question I had, and went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Thank you, Magoosh!

Magoosh helped prepare me for the types of questions I would see, both for verbal and math. It also helped me zero in on specific math equations to learn, or in reality make sure I can derive. I also appreciated the way the solutions focused on the thought process, instead of just simply how to get the answer.

The Verbal flashcards were amazingly helpful in preparing. It was exactly what I needed and provided better than I ever could have done on my own.

Magoosh has helped me planing my strategy and executing it for assuring the success. Never dreamt of getting 320 in GRE. I have followed 1 month plan of Magoosh, as I had less time in my hand. I couldn't believe my eyes when they displayed that my score is 320. It is really a powerful prep.

Magoosh was great, with lots of practice questions I never had to look for them elsewhere. Practice tests were good too. Score estimates helped me set a realistic goal for myself.

Helped a LOT. Gave me a routine (through following videos one by one and following one month study schedule). Made learning fun and dynamic. Helped gauge my timing. Helped gauge my future scores (very accurately). Allowed me to get PRIVATE help through the help tool (incredible).

Lots of great practice problems for Quant and Verbal, and the ability to set quiz/testing parameters for realistic test conditions! The study plan was very useful, and there is no way I would have memorized 900 vocabulary words without the Vocab Ap. Finally, the email conversations and extremely positive service from the Magoosh team made low points in my studies more supported. Magoosh has been great, thank you all so much!!!

The video lessons were really helpful in getting a grasp of the topics the GRE covered. What helped me the most was going through as many practice problems as possible. The explanations following each question were really useful and gave me immediate feedback on what I did incorrectly (or correctly) for each question. The explanations on ETS material was incredibly helpful as well. I don't think I could have done nearly this well without using Magoosh!
