You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The videos very extremely helpful. They helped me revise concepts I had already learnt in high school. The verbal videos, specially the vocabulary tips and RC videos, immensely helped in improving my verbal score . Before taking up the Magoosh subscription, I didn't even think that a score in excess of 325 was possible for me. Magoosh is amazing!!!

Magoosh helped me in identifying the analytical thinking requirement in the verbal section of the test. The innumerable questions and video explanations helped in drilling down strategies for both sections.

Magoosh did an excellent job providing a wide variety of questions in both the math and verbal sections that well represented GRE style of questions. Magoosh was absolutely awesome. The videos taught me tricks that made math and sentence completions easy, and the vocabulary flashcards really helped on the GREs and in life. Magoosh is great whether you're going to use it for a week, six weeks, or six months.

Magoosh was the single, most helpful resource I used for GRE preparation apart from the Official Guide. The difficulty and types of questions covered everything that the GRE could possibly throw at us. The "Customize Practice" and "Review" tools were extremely helpful in targeting my practice. I also liked that text explanations to all questions were provided in addition to video explanations.
Magoosh helped me take my score from 306(in the first practice test) to 330(in the final GRE exam)!

Magoosh was a great platform where all resources could be accessed at the same place. The tips on how to approach questions were really good. The vast question bank gives a lot of practice. I would probably rate these questions (with video explanations) and the Magoosh flashcards as the best help available for students planning to take the GRE.

Magoosh helped me feel comfortable with the timing. At first, I was always rushing through the math section because I'd have four or five problems left with less than 5 minutes to go. By the time I took the real GRE, I was very comfortable and actually had time leftover.

Magoosh also helped me out with planning my studying. I followed the one month plan and got through everything I needed to cover. I had an extra week or so after, so I spent that time doing timed problem sets and working through the Manhattan GRE books for extra help.

It was also very helpful for prepping for the verbal section. The verbal section was way easier than anything Magoosh prepped me with. I think the math section was pretty comparable. I am actually very good at high level abstract mathematics (I am a physics major), but I have trouble with problems that are number intensive, so I really needed to practice this section!

Although I've always been good at math, I haven't taken a math class since high school - over ten years ago! The videos helped to explain concepts I had forgotten, and the problems challenged me to think not only about how to solve the question, but about how the GRE tries to trick you.

The vocab app was an easy and efficient way to learn new words.

Magoosh helped me brush up math concepts and improved my verbal skills. The video tutorials were very helpful and so were the practice questions.

The vocabulary flashcards are extremely useful. The site is very user-friendly which made me like to access it and solve more problem. The explanation for each practice question is really helpful as well.

Magoosh's video lessons provided key insight into developing strategies necessary for tackling GRE questions. In particular, I found the quant. videos effectively balanced theory and rote shortcut. Furthermore, unlike many competing products, Magoosh quant. explanations never left me wanting.

I bought the Verbal + AWA package, and I loved it! The videos were great. The writing ones really helped me focus on how to approach and structure my essays. I felt like after watching them, what had previously been intimidating was now approachable and handleable. The verbal videos were also fantastic. I felt like they helped me realize what context clues and tone words were important in the sentence, and that way, I had a much better approach in choosing the correct word. I also liked that every single practice question had an accompanying video AND written explanation that was viewable directly after answering the question. It was so nice because I remembered exactly what I was thinking, and could immediately check and see where I was wrong. When I took my first practice test, I scored a 154 verbal, and this huge increase was due mostly to Magoosh.

After doing all the magoosh practice problems I felt like there was nothing the actual test could throw my way that I wouldn't be prepared to tackle. And I was right. There wasn't a single problem I wasn't prepared for on test day.

The video lessons were extremely helpful, especially in the verbal section.
The 1000+ questions allowed me to get familiar with GRE standard questions and the answers provided were well explained and left no doubt as to the thought process that lead to the correct option.
The Blog helped to keep my interest going with puzzling problems and useful tips being supplied regularly.
The Magoosh flashcards (android app) were cardinal in my vocab prep. Supplementing them with articles from the New Yorker, Times and Atlantic Monthly boosted my comfort level with more sophisticated level of prose that one usually encounters in the GRE verbal section.
The informal atmosphere was welcoming and made the GRE seem less daunting than when I had started out.

Good practice problems. Practice makes perfect

I really appreciated how I was prepared for all the different kinds of math questions. I had already seen many of the questions that appeared on the GRE (e.g. what is the remainder of 3^64). Without practice, I would not have had a clue how to approach this, but because I had seen many similar questions, this was relatively straightforward.

Used the program over 4 days, did all the math and english questions. Supremely helpful, couldn't have asked for more. Definitely raised my score for sure, whether I can get higher I'm not sure, but I'm very happy with my score which, for quite a small amount of prep time, I think Magoosh is almost entirely responsible for. Great help, can't recommend it enough

Magoosh provided both structure and content to my studying. I needed guidance regarding my approach to studying in general (having been out of school for 4 years) and I needed to relearn material, especially for the Quantitative section. I used the Vocabulary Flashcard, Vocabulary Quiz and Magoosh Video Lesson applications extensively on my phone (iPhone 4) and the Video Lessons, Quizzes and Practice Problems on my computer. I found the instructors in the videos very comforting and realistic in their expectations and I found the emails and correspondence from the Magoosh Support Team incredibly supportive and encouraging.

Magoosh offered great lessons that highlight the knowledge and skills most necessary for success on the GRE. So many topics seem obvious, but have important nuances that must be considered, and indeed are critical to success beyond the median percentiles. Magoosh offers either direct lessons or points in the direction of external resources that cover every component of understanding necessary for the beginning student. Compared to similar products, Magoosh is much more reasonably priced and available to you on your schedule. I'm very happy with this product and purchase.

Greatly for verbal since, I was suffering a lot in figuring out the structure of the problem. It taught me what things to take care of in quantitative sections and not to miss out on crucial details which I was generally accustomed to overlook.

I'm not native English speaker so my verbal part is poor when first taking GRE. I used Magoosh after my first test to prepare for the second test. I found the videos of magoosh helped me understand the words and ways of cracking the sentences. The questions magoosh offers are similar to actual GRE questions. So when I get used to the questions of Magoosh, I am confident to crack GRE verbal especially text completion and sentence equivalence.

Reviewing math via the great videos and practice problems because I haven't taken a math class in 10 years! Also, the vocab app was amazing.
