You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The video explanations and range of problem types were extremely helpful! The vocab app helped me build a more robust vocabulary with words that I saw frequently on the actual exam. The practice exams, range of math problems, and study plans built up my test-taking endurance and allowed to enter the exam confident in my preparation.

Magoosh is incredible! I mostly used it for the math prep. I've always thought I was "bad" at math, but Magoosh completely changed my mindset. The lessons and practice problems helped me see how to model difficult problems instead of freezing up if I couldn't immediately answer it. I used a prep book for my first test, but it just didn't cut it. Magoosh was worth it!

After going through much of Kaplan's study material, I took one ETS PowerPrep II test to see how I was doing. I made a 158 in Quant. Not nearly what I needed. So, the three months before I was scheduled to take the test, I tried Princeton Review and Mahattan Prep. While they gave me a little more insight, I still fell short. When I took the second ETS PowerPrep II practice test, only one week prior to my test date, my score was only 161 for quant. I needed a 164, preferably 166 or better, so I tried Magoosh within that last week prior to the test, going through most of their practice math problems and watching most of the explanatory videos that related to my weaknesses.

Magoosh made me aware of tips and tricks that would help me master the quant portion of the test. After studying Magoosh, I could answer questions quickly and confidently. I still made a few mistakes somewhere (probably fell for their stupid tricks), but I felt I approached the test and was able to answer all the questions methodically and accurately.

Unlike other study materials, Magoosh provided me with examples that were just as difficult, if not more, than the questions asked. The video tutorials made it easier to remember how to do problems. After one month with Magoosh I improved my score by 16 points!

Before I took the GRE for the first time, I had worked through a Barron's general review book as well as the math workbook and felt prepared. However, my performance on test day was reflective of the ineffective way in which I studied--most significantly, I hadn't done many practice problems on the computer in the format of the exam. That Magoosh provides a practice experience so closely matching the actual exam made me feel much more comfortable and prepared to retake the computer-based test. Also incredibly helpful were the detailed tutorials for every math topic and the video demonstrations following EVERY practice problem. These were invaluable to me as I worked through 350 of them! I also appreciated the opportunity to specifically study hard questions and attempt adaptive practice tests, as well as review my work based on difficulty level. I only spent two weeks studying for the GRE, and when I started studying I realized I had quite a bit of work ahead of me. I went from a projected score around 320 to almost 330. The study tools Magoosh provided were incredibly helpful to prepare for test day.

It was a good way to study, to work on the types of questions that challenged you most, and to figure out the best strategy for different question types. I liked being able to choose how many questions I wanted to do at a time and I liked having the option of Quiz mode vs. Practice mode. It's a great price for a valuable prep course.

The question bank is excellent. Although the difficulty was frustrating at times, it was good to get used to questions that were more difficult than the ones on the actual test. The trick questions were also a good learning experience.

Magoosh was excellent - problems and screens exactly like the exam. The best part was the tutorials though. Out of the 4 programs I used, this was hands down the best.

I think the question bank at Magoosh is fantastic. Definitely tougher in many cases than the actual test - plus I appreciated having the estimated scores based on practice questions, so I knew about the range to expect on each part of the test.

Magoosh was the wisest decision I've made studying for the GRE in such a shortage of time. I was working fully while studying for the test and Magoosh videos, suggestions, and flashcards were the perfect match for my tied schedule. Thank you so so much for the wonderful help!

The software is very well done, the hard and very-hard questions of the quant section are quite challenging and insightful, and the videos usually explain the problems with great clarity. I consider Magoosh a great investment, and would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a vast collection of problems and explanation videos, always at the tip of their fingers.

I took Magoosh just a month and a half before my GRE primarily for practicing the 1100+ questions they had. After taking the subscription, I realized that the material was very comprehensive and ended up going through each and every module in Quantitative and Verbal sections.
To address how Magoosh helped me, firstly in terms of the material depth and breadth, Magoosh aces all others - you simply get a range of materials from disparate areas in a single repository. Secondly and more importantly, the questions are designed very well and each had a purpose before them - there are questions all the way from easy to very hard. In my case, for some areas in which I was inherently weak, I gradually started from easy working the way to hard or very-hard. I could see a progress in one month of practice. Thirdly, Magoosh has a strong back-end staff for helping students by clarifying doubts whenever they hit a road block. There were cases in which I didn't find why my answers were right or why were they not right in some way (esp. with Reading Comprehension). The staff were friendly and prompt in getting responses. Overall, I enjoyed the Magoosh way of preparing for GRE and I would definitely recommend.

It gave me the confidence that I was lacking before. Also it helped me pace up and hence ultimately helped me a lot with time management.

Magoosh really helped me with my math score. The review videos helped a lot, but being able to complete 485 math questions and have a video explanation for each one was key. I improved my math score by a total of 8 points thanks to using Magoosh almost exclusively.

Loved all the practice questions and the score predictions. I found the Magoosh questions harder than the actual GRE, so I was really prepared. The lesson videos were great and easy to follow, as were the explanations for all the questions. I liked that each question linked to related lessons. It made it really easy to know what I needed to work on and find the tools to make it happen.

The videos in the quantitative section proved to be extremely helpful as they provided various tips which helped to solve problems faster, even the convoluted ones. I cannot thank magoosh enough!

I mostly used Magoosh to prep quant and it definitely boosted my confidence going back in to retake the test.

Magoosh is amazing! I never thought I could obtain such a high score before, especially with my verbal serction! And all of the materials I used to prepare for the test, Magoosh has the most similarity with official exercises. Great job to all of you (You even have video explanation after every exercise, how could you do that)!
And the magoosh blog is amazing too. Chris Lele has done a incredible job making the blog a place to expand and enhance oneself.

Extremely useful lessons to revise concepts and very well developed practice questions that were of the same difficulty as the real GRE

Well I actually took the GRE 3 times. Each time I didn't have enough time to study. Since I am not a native speaker, I didn't give much attention to Verbal section, because I couldn't simply tackle it even if I understood it. Also, I didn't have enough time to memorize vocabulary words. Finally after 3 months of hard work I was able to improve my score by 22 points. I found the math section in exam to be more easier than magoosh. As For the verbal section, I think that they are the same difficulty. I am very happy with my new score, magoosh really helped me how to tackle the math problems which weren't my weakness, but it provided good techniques to save a lot of time.

I learned new vocabulary words, became accustomed to the form of the test and trained myself not to make errors on math questions.

The quant practice questions were great!!
Some of the techniques shown in the videos are amazingly helpful! Magoosh especially helped me out in Statistics, Permutations and Combination and Probability- topics which I was completely terrified of!
