You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh broke everything down into simple terms. It went way back to middle school and taught me all the simple skills! GRE Math is really all about the small building blocks! For both the math and verbal sections, they taught tips and tricks to word smarter, not harder. My score improved IMMENSELY after using Magoosh! I am recommending to everyone I know. With crystal clear concepts taught by the teachers at Magoosh and the best ever wordlist, I walked smoothed the GRE path like I was walking on soft crushed velvet carpet, that once, I supposed was a path full of burning coals!!

Accurate practice problems, vocabulary flashcards, and I loved the dashboard schedule so I could keep on track with my schedule.

Magoosh made it very clear exactly what I needed to study for the test, how to pace myself, and provided all the materials in perfectly sized pieces for each day of study! I ended up becoming really obsessed with solving very hard GRE math problems every day - very much at the bemusement of my friends. I ended up really liking studying for the test. Expanding my vocabulary made me suddenly cognizant of so many common(ish) words I had been ignoring my whole life. And solving math puzzles is just plain fun, I'll definitely continue doing them even though I've already taken the test!

Magoosh provided me the framework to build a foundation (I am a very weak math test-taker - in high school I scored a 15 on the ACT math section) and to move into more advanced concepts at my own rate.

Magoosh provides cogent, relevant, solid and standard GRE prep material. I'm pretty sure that no other GRE material is closer to official prep material than Magoosh. I improved my Verbal score by a staggering 13 points (from 150 to 163), by following Magoosh material(including blogs!).

Magoosh provided plenty of practice questions for my nightly study sessions. I used the vocabulary flashcards on my phone and I utilized the practice exams they offered. The instructional videos are very useful as well because they directly tell you what to do for the math problems and explain strategies for the verbal section. Mike McGarry's math videos were the game changer for my studying.

I got high scores by doing all the practice problems. I’d recommend Magoosh over the more expensive services out there.

The magoosh verbal was much tougher than the actual GRE. Magoosh over-prepared me to tackle the reading comprehension and argument questions. Moreover, I memorized most of the Magoosh Vocab list. I was able to finish my verbal sections with 10 minutes left to spare for both sections.

The overall toughness level of the practice questions is higher than that of actual GRE, so that fact helped me prepare for the worst.

Excellent practice resources and insightful explanations

Magoosh got me to understand math in a non-threading way and really met me where I was at both in terms of math were I struggled and in terms of verbal where I tend to excel.

Although I took math courses in college, I hadn't dealt with a lot of the GRE-style math concepts since high school (or earlier) so between military service and my undergrad, that's 15+ years. Combining the Magoosh lessons / practice questions with official study materials gave me a methodical process for identifying weaknesses and strengthening them. Although my quant score was lower than I'd expected, it was significantly better than it was when I began studying 45 days ago - more than 10 points from my diagnostic test I took prior to beginning my studies.

I thought the math lectures were great. I feel like I got a much more intuitive understanding of some basic concepts than I've ever had. I think this was partially due to the fact that my previous master's, and my job, all involve applied statistics and programming, whereas when I took the GRE before (8 years ago) I had been doing sociology and political organizing. And the lectures were a great way to tap into that potential.

It helped me stay organised and of course, practice a lot of questions. Customised practice tests are the best! I can adjust the tests as per mood, strengthening my strong areas sometimes and improving my weak ones. Video lessons specially in Maths were made really well. They were clear and concise. The option to play the video at 2x is such a time saver. I also made full use of your GRE words app.

I loved that the questions were timed and that I was able to take practice tests and they were very real.
I liked that you created the look of the site very similar to the real test.
The questions were on the same level. I even think Magoosh had many hard questions. On the GRE I thought there were less hard questions, however it was great for me to practice.
