You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It was a good tool for doing every-day practice. I loved that I always got a non-standardized response to my questions and in lightning speed too. I also read the blog and I found it helpful even though I had already taken the test one before (five years ago).

My primary intention was to improve my verbal score. The video lectures + the 90 day study schedule helped me immensely. The lectures helped me with my strategy for verbal section and the study plan made sure that I covered all the bases. Also, the 1000 word flash card was also very useful. Overall, I'm very happy and satisfied with the GRE product that magoosh offers. I would recommend magoosh to all GRE aspirants. It is a great product.

I wouldn't say that I owe everything to Magoosh as I was studying other materials before getting their premium plan. However, I must admit that if I ever want to take the GRE again, I would definitely use Magoosh instead of other preparation materials available in the market. It wasn't exactly cheap for me (I'm an international student living on my TA stipend) but it was definitely worth every penny.

I got a subscription from Magoosh only 2 weeks before the exam. In this short amount of time, I was able to quickly determine my weaknesses. Thanks to the "Custom Practice" option, I was able to solve only the types of questions that I was struggling with. This greatly reduced my stress. Another feature that was unspeakably valuable to me was the score estimate. Magoosh told me that I would score in the range of 153-158 for verbal and 155-160 in math. Their estimate was fairly accurate.

I only wish I had paid for Magoosh sooner as they truly helped me become a "Magoosh" rather than a "Bazigoosh" (Persian! Definition: playful, nonchalant)!

The tips and the videos of the verbal section were a boon on the real test. Also, the tips shared in the blog help a whole lot. Everything from how to tackle vocabulary, to which books to use and of course the practice questions and their explanations, simply wonderful. Special thanks to Chris Lele! I love his approach to teaching, keeps it interesting...

Didn't use anything else for maths, except for the practice questions of Magoosh. Guess they were enough :)

Magoosh was phenomenal. From the flashcards to the ability to customize my practice testing, it allowed me to focus my time on the necessary areas without spending time rehashing things I knew I could handle. The explanations were consistently clear and helpful; without them, frankly, I would have been hard-pressed to figure out what ETS considered "right" in many cases. Just a phenomenally helpful product all around.

Magoosh is terrific! What I needed was an improvement in my Verbal score. But what I received was much more:
- An overall improvement in my reading & literary skills (even at my work place)
- Effective tips on handling seemingly uncrackable questions
- Total score improvement of 10 points
- A practice tests that precisely predicted my results
- A lot of moral support: I must say, the tips on what needs to be done prior to the test day, how to maintain the confidence etc. was very much valuable and effective.

I found Magoosh infinitely more effective than any of the four books I had gotten for my GRE studies. The explanations given for each question were amazingly helpful, and I really liked seeing my improvement as I watched my average times per question decreasing and my estimated scores increasing on the dashboard view. The lessons and the blog were also great resources. Customer service was also very prompt, friendly, and helpful. I really appreciated the wide variety of options for creating your own quiz sessions. Really, I found every aspect of this service wonderful, and I actually DID see my quantitative score increase by 8 points from my first practice test to the real one. Thank you, Magoosh!

Magoosh's personal analytics allowed me to quickly hone in on areas where I needed to invest additional study effort. The comprehensive video walkthrough answers for each question helped to ensure I understood the concepts behind the right answers (vs. the rote answers many books give).

The videos were really helpful for understanding the different concepts that I needed to know for the exam. Also the practice problems were great and representative (if not harder) of the types of problems I saw on the exam. The flash cards were the best way to study the vocab.

I don't have any words to describe the experience. It wouldn't be an exaggeration from my side to say that I owe everything to Magoosh. The lessons were super awesome. I also can't forget to mention the excellent customer support. I have recommended many of my friends and would recommend also those prospective GRE students to join Magoosh for sure. I joined magoosh with only two weeks to go for the GRE. Things weren't looking good. I needed to improve my speed. I had hit a 315 score barrier on practice tests. Magoosh changed all that. After a week of practicing only hard questions, things did improve for me by the promised 8 points. Thank you Magoosh!

It made studying for the GRE manageable. I had trouble studying before purchasing Magoosh because the GRE is very intimidating and I had no idea where to start. Magoosh gave my studying guidance and structure and made it possible for me to earn a decent score.

Magoosh single handedly helped me climb from the low 150s to the high 150s and low 160s in verbal. The quant tricks were also useful in efficient time management. I will recommend Magoosh to anyone, any day.

The wide range of questions testing knowedge of specific areas and combinations of errors, along with the video lessons, were very helpful.

All I had to use was magoosh's online material. The level of difficulty was similar to that of ETS. Their detailed video lessons and video explanations for every question helped me understand concepts easily. Magoosh helped me achieve what initially sounded impossible.

Magoosh helped me strengthen my Verbal skills and boost my Math score. Though I didn't have the time to complete all the practice questions in Math, I made sure I went through the 'Hard' and 'Very Hard' questions. Full marks to Magoosh for allowing such flexibility. Regarding Verbal, I went through all the lessons and the questions and viewed the video explanations of the questions I got wrong. All the Verbal questions were similar to what you can expect in the real GRE, especially the RCs. Magoosh email support was very supportive and they replied within 24 hours during weekdays. I would highly recommend this product even if you have only 2-3 weeks for preparation.

Magoosh was invaluable in prepping me for the GRE. The lesson videos went much more into detail than any other resource I used. Overall, the practice questions were more challenging than the ones I encountered on the actual test. I felt extremely well prepared, and it definitely paid off since I scored well above my goal score!

YES it was exactly what I needed. I work full time so I needed a study tool that was flexible and matched my busy schedule. Loved the video explanations for the questions and got a lot out of the math lessons. I think the approaches for probability and counting were particularly clear and digestible.

Although having quite a strong mathematical background the product helped me by teaching me common tricks required for the GRE. I was for instance happy to see a question like "what is the remainder of 3^56 divided by 5" on the actual GRE test, which I would not have known before I took the online course but I could solve within seconds now.
Also the product helped me to get used to the difficulty of the questions that I could expect at the GRE.
Being a non-native speaker growing up that has lived in a non-English speaking country for whole my live I didn't want to focus too much time on my verbal, since it is considered less important anyways for the master I want to apply than mathematics. Therefore I didn't purchase a subscription for the verbal part. I guess that watching a lot of English tv did pay off however :)
If I would have to do the GRE test again I would however purchase the verbal part too, since I've seen how useful the mathematics part has been for improving my score to reach the full score.

Magoosh is totally worth it. The myriad of lesson videos and practice questions helped me immensely. I found them to be very accurate in their representations of the actual test questions. I scored above and beyond my expectations thanks to this excellent service. I do feel like there's a GRE sized hole in my life now, though.. but I'm finally free! Grad school here I come!

Being 13 years since I was last in a English or Math class and the debacle that was my first GRE experience--granted I took it without studying and staying out very late the night before--Magoosh gave me the confidence to tackle the arduous endeavor of preparing for the GRE. The organization, multi-modal format of help (videos, email support and blog tips) really helped me understanding all the complexities of the test. I really enjoyed the candor and simplicity that each aspect of the test was broken down into. This really helped me wrap my mind around difficult and seemingly arcane aspects of the test. I really owe everything, except the time I dedicated to the test, to Magoosh. Thank you so much.

It helped me by providing a thorough review of mathematics and teaching pellucid principles for managing the verbal reasoning section. The reading comprehension lessons and practice questions were immensely helpful.

Magoosh is simply an excellent product. It was worth every penny and more, especially when looking at other test preps like Kaplan and Princeton Review. I'm terrible at standardized tests, but Magoosh gave me all of the tools I needed to succeed, no more, no less (actually, probably a lot more if I had had more time to study!).

If I could describe Magoosh's staff in one word, it'd be "thorough". If the amount of practice questions doesn't shock you, then the number of explanations will. This product gives you everything you need: from blog posts giving ranges of GRE scores for certain programs, to practice test solutions in the ETS manuals, to clear and concise explanations. Additionally, when I had a question explaining my situation, the response was prompt, yet lengthy. I was very appreciative (thanks, Lucas!).

If you do everything in Magoosh's study guides (and REALLY do them), there's no way you won't hit your ideal score. You'll be happy you used this product, and so will your wallet.

I did all the practice tests for verbal, which made me feel much better when solving actual GRE problems as the practice questions given here are harder than the one on the actual exam.
