You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It was really very helpful. I gave myself a lot of practice with timed tests. Also the video lessons were very useful. I specially found the verbal course to be outstandingly great. It was my only source as well. I learnt how to follow steps in order to break down the sentence and then get to the answer. In quants, the questions are very similar to the ones in powerprep so it kind os resembles the actual test, although I would say the difficulty level is slightly higher than GRE which is good to get confidence. Also, the blog was a very informative and interesting one, each time I browsed there I found something interesting. Lastly, I would like to thank Hansoo for his continuous guidance and support. Sometimes, you do feel anxious and want some expert to be with you.

The lesson videos on Magoosh set them apart from other study resources available. The videos helped break down GRE concepts I wasn't confident with, and gave me really valuable tips on how to solve these problems and choose answers according to the GRE style. The videos were short and easy to follow, which made studying more accessible after a long day of work and classes. I watched a lot of the lesson videos, even on topics I was performing well in, because of the study and answering techniques embedded within them. This played a major role in my ability to read passages more effectively, choose the correct vocab words in fill-in-the blank and synonym questions, and quickly solve multiple styles of math problems. I now highly recommend Magoosh to anyone trying to improve their score on the GRE or taking it for the first time!

Magoosh kept me engaged in studying every day. The large pool of questions I got in my plan kept me motivated. I would solve questions every day in order to exhaust all the questions by the end of my plan. This helped me stay motivated toward studying even on days when I didn't feel like it. It was easier to study with Magoosh than on my own. The lecture videos were excellent, and probably what helped me the most were the video explanations after each question in practice sessions. They were instrumental in helping me overcome weak areas and mistakes. The timed practice sessions were extremely helpful and truly the only way one can be prepared for the actual GRE.
