You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Practice questions were helpful for math. I just had to understand how to do some of the tricky problems. Vocabulary was the only place I really struggled for verbal so the flash cards helped the most for that.

The Magoosh 6 month plan was a blessing. I had initially planned to take the GRE in March but had to postpone it due to the global pandemic. I booked the At Home GRE for 29th May. However, a week before my test, I was detected positive for Covid-19. Luckily, I still had more than a month of my Magoosh Prep available. I postponed the GRE to a later date - 4th July. Magoosh's practice tests helped me get back to studies after a break of 3 weeks owing to my health. The conceptual clarity I got due to the Quants lessons on Magoosh made sure that I could get back on track easily. Thanks to Magoosh, I scored well on my GRE despite the conditions!

First I HATE standardized tests. I never thought I was particularly good at them and I was a few years out of school.

The fact that Magoosh has a timer and looks just like the real thing definitely helped me prepare well. Mike McGarry's quant videos were f**king awesome. I actually learned a lot more about math and life(lol). Those videos are deep.

I roughly followed the 90 day advanced study plan. Took 6 practice tests and did most of the harder problems. Getting a good score takes months!

NOT Magoosh's responsibility but I wanted to share this PSA. COVID-19 at-home testing is a nightmare (at least when I took it). Avoid if possible. I still haven't gotten my money back, wasn't able to take it, and my test software crashed twice during the test.

I would like to thank Magoosh immensely for helping me with my preparation. I took the 6-month plan as I did not know where to start. Magoosh has a very good bunch of Quant & verbal theory videos. The Quant practice is A1 and verbal is something that will give you a foundation. The difficult vocabulary they have is something that one needs to accomplish. +1 on the Magoosh flashcards for vocabulary. I completed the section of Basic, Intermediate and Advanced words on the course. Hence it is essential to cover as much of the free stuff that Magoosh has to offer as possible. Thanks, Magoosh.
