You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Prior to starting with Magoosh, I took a paper practice GRE, and got a mediocre Verbal score and a really atrocious math score. Magoosh was recommended to me by a friend, and I tried it out. Magoosh helped me relearn math concepts, and more importantly taught me how to pace myself and gave me the tricks of the trade to deal with the test. I have better fundamentals and a lot of sneaky tricks for calculation and estimation now. Thanks a ton, Magoosh really helped me beat the GRE.

I liked the structure of Magoosh. I was able to study regularly throughout the summer, and was ready to take the test by fall. I’m grateful for the regular practice questions built into the schedule. By the time I took the test, I was very comfortable with the question formats, which significantly lessened my anxiety.

Practice exams, practice questions, in depth mathematics lessons, and vocabulary building exercises. I also preferred the interactive internet-based platform over typical textbook style studying. It was good to have explanations immediately after I got a question wrong. I was able to learn about my mistakes immediately.

Magoosh helped me arrive at compentence in a number of math problems I would not have been able to do in the past. The trouble was on my own end. When I took the test I got hung up trying to tackle the hard problems and didn't leave sufficient time for the easy problems. I wish I would have taken more practice tests to learn how to do pacing properly. I am pleased with how Magoosh helped me prepare for the verbal section though.

Magoosh was extremely useful in providing me a structured way to study (one month program) without requiring any formal time slot in my varying schedule. I found the practice problems with video explanations and the lessons extremely beneficial, helping me identify my weaker subject areas and learn quick tips / tricks to improve. The Magoosh Vocab Flashcards were also exceptional, helping me learn a ton of words in a very short period of time. The Magoosh team was also extremely generous in letting me change my program from GMAT to GRE without any additional cost during COVID, which was much appreciated.
