You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh was instrumental in my preparation - specifically, the math videos really helped me hone the basics and understand some of the concepts from first principles. The math question bank was also very useful and helped me gain confidence in answering some of the harder/more involved questions.
Additionally, the free vocabulary app was extremely helpful in improving my verbal score.

Great videos. The math explanations were very insightful and the practice problems were very challenging (harder than the actual test). I found the procedure for text completions (as described in the videos) very useful and helpful for me during the exam. Ironically, the programs of interest to me have waived the GRE requirement for next year, but I still found the experience of watching the videos and practicing to be worthwhile. I also liked the vocab and GMAT math flashcards.

I had forgotten most math topics, so it was helpful to review them with detailed lessons and practice problems. I liked the way it was split up over a 90 day period with the learning gradually adding on. Overall, the practice problems were harder than the test, which was a nice way to prepare.

By helping me remember math from my high school and undergrad days about 30 years ago. I was beyond rusty, but ended up getting a score that is good enough for the programs I’m applying to.
