You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

By helping me remember math from my high school and undergrad days about 30 years ago. I was beyond rusty, but ended up getting a score that is good enough for the programs I’m applying to.

Definitely helped me to rethink how I was approaching a lot of the math questions! The essay writing portions also gave me a clear structure of how I should have approached the analytical writing section.

Magoosh has a great box of lessons and questions for practice which prepares you very well for the actual day. Magoosh experts are always there to help you whenever you have a doubt and the overall interface is very good. Most of all though is down to Chris and his team whose explanations are very helpful in improving yourself.

The practice questions with explanations helped. The videos being organized into each topic helped and being able to pick which kind of practice questions to do was helpful.

Verbally the questions were spot on, so was the vocab.

The biggest benefit was having a defined plan of what I needed to accomplish each day. The pure volume of practice questions was also extremely helpful. For the most part (90% of the time) the explanations were clear as well.

Practice, practice, practice! And statistics on what I was doing well on, so that I could watch lessons for what I wasn't doing well on.

The more difficult practice problems presented through the early weeks of the study schedule (I did one month) gave me confidence in my ability to complete questions of all difficulty levels. The lessons provide great overviews of all concepts and many examples of how rudimentary concepts can be used in a tricky way on the exam.
