You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I literally had nightmares about GRE verbal section. The tortuous sentence structure along with obscure words always threw me off the track. Thanks to Magoosh lessons, I could master the text completions. May be I was a bit nervous and couldn't really ace the reading comprehension on the test day. But that's a different story altogether. Magoosh still helped me score 155 on the test day, which is good for me to apply.
Coming to quant, even though I was confident about it, I could never really hit 170 during the mock tests. I realized that I am falling for the crafty trap answers. Magoosh videos taught me to identify all the traps that one needs to be mindful about. I followed the videos religiously for last 10 days before GRE. Guess what? I scored 170 on the test day!
Overall, I would say Magoosh provides excellent lessons to learn the GRE along with copious amount of high quality practice materials.

The explaination of each question is clear, and the function 'practice test' helps me a lot.

The math videos were awesome! Thanks for providing tips on how to approach certain problems rather than only presenting the standard way to solve problems. The content was comprehensive, and the difficulty of practice problems was matched, and in some cases, exceeded the difficulty of problems on the actual test (great prep strategy). I also loved the "Help" email service. It took longer to receive a response than is ideal, but still extremely helpful nonetheless. I found the verbal lesson videos extremely helpful also. I was initially drawn to Magoosh because of price limitations, so I appreciate the low price, but I was very pleased with the level of service provided. Thank you!

I prepared 10 days and the total time I spent was about 60 hours. I fisrt spent 6 days on Flashcards to enhance my abiliy in vocabulary...then I spent 3 days on online lessen part to get familiar with different species of GRE test problems, finally I spent 1 day practicing in Magoosh to get better idea about how to spend time wisely during today's GRE test. I made it, I really appreciate service provided by Magoosh.

A LOT. It helped me practice questions that were harder than what would appear on the exam which gave me confidence that I would do good on the exam.

The vocabulary is great for my verbal part. This time I get 3 verbals against 2 verbals last time, which really kills my brain and I am happy about the score I have. I only go through a few stuff and I very appreciate your verbal trainings.

GRE is all about practice and learning new words. The practice tests as well as vocab app helped me a lot.

Magoosh is a fantastic service. I had been reading a Kaplan book prior to my being referred to Magoosh and the difference was startling. Kaplan's math was atrocious while Magoosh's math saved my life. The essay tips, fantastic, and the reading comprehension stuff, man I loved it. You guys are delivering a fantastic service, really helping people. I ended up going from math moron to something more respectable . I think one more month of Magoosh math and I would have been in the 160 range at the rate I was improving.

Magoosh helped me with all the three essentials that are required to do well on the GRE - content, practice with pacing and review. The lesson videos for content and review were comprehensive and very relatable; Chris has a great sense of humor that makes learning fun! Practicing with pacing was made super easy with the "Quiz Mode" and "Time Limit" options on the course. And last, but certainly not the least, the Magoosh Team was excellent with their correspondence: quick responses, motivating follow-ups and much-needed optimism to keep you going! :)

Kept me motivated at the early stage of my prep. Chris and the team were the driving force behind my vocab. His vocab videos and attitude really made sense to me because it was logical and was completely different to what I had tried earlier. Magoosh posts about how to study and what to study was a real time saver for me. Otherwise, I would have wasted time on preparing obscure words and blaming myself for not knowing them. The book reviews helped me pick up what I needed the most and saved me a lot of money. And the best part about magoosh is it's customization features: different study plans for everyone, categorized practice questions with video explanations and note taking feature, direct links to the relevant lessons, the dashboard to check where you stand, summary part of quant videos (to save time while watching unnecessary lessons). The student help was just awesome, with quick and detailed explanations, which tries hard not to make the student uneasy.
I am planning to take TOEFL and GMAT as well in future and Magoosh will be my first choice. And I will spread this to as many people as I can because I still can see people spending mindlessly for unnecessary books and prep classes.

Magoosh is always a friend to me.Basically i was very frustrated at my 1st attempt on july .I got 302.Then I again registered and started avidly magooshing. When i started to practice magoosh especially verbal almost all of them were wrong.But i did not gave up.Because the BOSS Chris ,Brianna,Jessica was there to help me.Day by day watching magoosh lessons and videos i realized that there remains a pattern.This realization helps me a lot.I,personally strongly recommend magoosh to prepare in a targeted way.Basically i had completed just magoosh and official guide about 80% ,nothing else.Thanks magoosh to help me .

I really enjoyed having the explanation videos after each and every question! From my experience, learning from the mistakes I made was definitely more helpful.

Magoosh is a life saver! I only ever used Magoosh resources to prep for my GRE. They have extensive resources and videos for every possible question type in the GRE. Plus, the question bank is amazing as not only does it resemble GRE questions, video explanation is also available for every single question, which is amazing because I can see why I got an answer wrong, or why this answer choice is wrong, or just to check if my thinking process was right. And plus, I only prepared for 1-2 weeks for the GRE and bam, that's enough. Thanks so much Magoosh.

Magoosh verbal questions have most similarity with the actual test. I have watched every explanation video that came with the practice question.
Magoosh helped me a lot

Magoosh provided me a great bunch of resources that were extremely helpful, such as the plans, the lessons, exercises, and mainly the magoosh superfan facebook group. The latter one was pivotal in my performance, since I could write any doubt there, I got an AWA checked by Chris, and people usually give very good tips there.

I helped me in many ways actually.
1) It helped me polish my mathematical concepts which I had learned a few years back.
2) I found it very effective in verbal, especially the strategies mentioned by Chris Lele. The difficulty of the practice questions inured me for the actual GRE.
3) The best part about Magoosh is the Flash Card App. around 95% of the words in the actual GRE were from the same.

Verbal: I finished almost all the sentence completion questions. Great ways to build up stamina. The real exam questions were much easier. So easy compared to Magoosh that I thought it might have traps.
Quant: I did all the very hard and most hard questions. I like it that Magoosh kepts on emphasizing "do not assume this or that unless told so" because GRE does like to trick test takers into assuming things.
Vocabulary: Chris Lele is the man! I love all his Vocabulary Wednesday videos on YouTube. Very helpful! And the Magoosh flashcard is also fantastic in building up vocabulary.

I love Magoosh because of the step by step video answers to all of the problems, plus the helpful subject videos. I had prepped for my first GRE with a different program and did not get the score I wanted. With Magoosh I actually learned the material, which is what made the difference. Also love the flash card vocabulary app. Thank you!

Well being a dyslexic, the journey wasn't smooth. Completely relied on Magoosh. I am weak at creating sentences, therefore I want to keep it simple.

Magoosh has been more of a friend than a mere tutor,exacting yet encouraging, rigorous yet pleasantly refreshing ..i cant pinpoint which feature of magoosh i liked the best : The excellent user interface , the pithy blog posts , the pertinent and extremely,extremely helpful (i l run out of flattering attributes very soon now) lesson videos , its feature of reviewing the problems,the plethora of filters to choose from ,the out-of-the-world Magoosh Vocab apps ,Chris's fun and crisp Vocab Wednesdays ...Moreover, the prompt and sincere efforts at doubt clearings by the team of Magoosh experts have gone a long way in boosting my score (and mitigating pre-exam jitters ) . Lastly , Magoosh made me feel like they had , i knew i could always ask for help no matter where i was (i have even tried studying from a cold damp kitchen toilet somewhere in Galway) ,and help would come,in the shortest possible time,and in the best possible way .I cant stress enough on the salubrious psychological effects it had on me..There would be no freaking way i would hav scored what i scored had it not been for magoosh and its tech-savvy pedagogical style.

Magoosh has been a great help in helping me achieve my dream score. The tutors are excellent in their lecture videos. The strategies are pretty straightforward and easy to follow. The amount of practice material available is also very good, the level of difficulty is very close to the actual exam; their efficacy accentuated by the video explanations, particularly for the tougher RC and atypical quantitative comparisons. Magoosh support is also very prompt and helpful. Overall, a fantastic experience. Thanks a lot, Magoosh!
