You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh's verbal section especially TC part is very helpful and really helped me wing on GRE. Magoosh's experts are always responsive and helpful!!!

The math videos were extremely helpful. They really allowed me to refresh my math skills. Also, being able to do so many practice questions online really helped my score.

The practice section of Quantitative helped me a lot to score 170 in this section. I didn't get enough time to practice the Verbal part much. I think I could've done little bit better in the Verbal section too if I had practised more. However, I'm happy with my scores.

Magoosh provided me the most concise and organized material that helped me prepare for my GRE. I believe that their premium subscription is totally worth the cost.

Magoosh GRE vocabulary app is the answer for all vocab worries. All the words were from the app only.

I work full time and volunteer a lot, so the straight-forward nature of the site and the easy-to-use dashboard were invaluable. (I could log in and do questions quickly on my lunch or at a cafe, for eg.) The randomized questions were good review for concepts I had been brushing up on outside of Magoosh, and the timer was great to prepare my mind for being timed. The Facebook group was also a great surprise - the community of people helping each other really made me feel supported and connected.

Magoosh was incredibly helpful. The content was valuable (I certainly didn't remember how to calculate the angles of a polygon before reviewing the lessons) but the study plan was essential for me. I had only 30 days to study for the test, and the daily guide was an amazing resource as to how to direct my study efforts. Without it, I know that I would have been overwhelmed at how to cover it all in such a limited time frame. But having followed the study plan, I was able to take the GRE with confidence and score within my target range on the first try. Thanks, Magoosh!

Couldn't have done it without Magoosh! As a working professional, classroom courses would've only wasted my time and energy. And I bet no other online GRE prep material can come close to the quality and comprehensiveness of Magoosh's. I'm also extremely happy with how prompt and helpful the experts were in answering my questions. I seriously doubt if you can get that much attention from an instructor in a classroom, considering you'll get over the hesitation to raise questions in the midst of other students in the first place. I owe it to Chris and Mike for helping me get this score despite my very demanding job that left me little time for preparation. I promised myself that I'd prove the score predictor wrong and holy smokes (quoting Mike), I did! :D

I realized that it's not about "How good or smart am I?" but more of a "How good am I prepared for what the test wants?" question. The instructors made it very clear, over and over again, that the GRE does measure exactly this. How well am I prepared for the GRE. And by using Magoosh I was indeed very well prepared. Thank you, I did not think such a great score was possible for me.

It was amazing! It helped in so many ways, I don't even know where to start.
1. The study guides were a great help for someone like me. It gave me a lot of structure and as a person who likes structure, having them available was a great help because I did not have to make them myself.
2. The videos were great. Last time I took the GRE, I spent too much time studying the basics (of the quant section mostly), and not enough time actually doing practice questions. The videos helped me feel confident about the math basics. The study guides were helpful to make me do the practice problems after I studied up on the basics. The verbal videos were also extremely helpful since last time I only studied vocabulary. Giving me some basic strategies to attack the verbal questions really helped me a lot. My main goal was getting a higher score on the quant section (because I'm applying to an immunology grad school) but these videos helped me feel comfortable attacking the verbal section as well. Having the verbal section go well on the test really helped with the quant section because I was able to calm down instead of worrying about the verbal section as well.
3. The practice problems were the best of Magoosh. They helped me practice the material in actual questions and helped me identify where I made mistakes to prevent myself from making them in the future.
4. You guys! Anytime I had a question or just did not understand something, someone was there (usually within 24 hours) to give me an answer.
5. The referral to other study materials, particularly for the quant section. The extra practice really made me so much more confident in dealing with the quant questions.

Magoosh's training lessons were of great help to understand a few Quant concepts. The huge number of practice problems and the ability to customise my practice was also helpful - it allowed mr to work specifically on my weaker spots.

Magoosh was the key to my success on the GRE. Having been away from anything maths in the past 9 years, the math lessons were extremely invaluable in reminding me of key concepts tested on the GRE. I was able to write the GRE within 1 month of preparation and get a good score...thanks to Magoosh.

The practice questions helped me identify my weaknesses. The video explanations very useful as well. I would watch the video whenever I found a question hard, or if I felt there could be a better way of solving the problem.

Magoosh provided a very respectable set of test questions and lecture videos that helped me prepare for the GRE. The coolest part was that EVERY test question had an associated video and text explaining why the answer was what it was. The general lecture videos gave good strategies for attacking the verbal questions, and these strategies helped me do much better than I expected on the test.

Just watching all the math videos helped me a lot and made sure I focused only on relevant topics.

I was quite confident about Math because I had studied all the video lessons really well. They were concise and exhaustive. I probably could've done better on the Verbal Section but that's okay. Cheers to Magoosh!

Mike has done a great job in the math videos and the math practice exercises.
I found the actual test easier as I was used in the practice sets of Magoosh.

1. Study plan is useful, though I didn't follow it diligently it does give me a sense of efforts required for the exam preparation.
2. The maths videos are helpful in covering the test topics, and I can feel the enthusiasm from the instructor for his love of this subject. I did encounter the exact question covered in maths video during my test.
3. The verbal videos are also great for helping me to develop the verbal sense. I find the video explaination of questions much better than other GRE prep sources.
4. Practice questions and tests helped me to know my own pace, so I did better time management in actual test.
5. I used Flashcards and vocal builder apps to strengthen my memory of the words.

I must say, Magoosh was solely responsible for my score. I started out with a very poor score in the mock GRE. But the video lessons by Magoosh taught me the various strategies that I could employ and also how to combat the time constraint. The practice problems also helped me get used to the exam environment and the predicted verbal score was bang on which helped me walk into the exam room with a sense of confidence so that I could get a good score. The GRE Flashcard app for vocab is also amazing! Almost every tough word that I encountered in the actual GRE happened to be there in the flashcards. There had been times when the college schedule interfered with my GRE preparation because of which I couldn't watch all the Magoosh videos before my subscription ended. Magoosh gladly extended my subscription to accommodate my busy schedule which made it very convenient for me. To conclude, Magoosh had been immensely helpful and had it not been for Magoosh, I would not have gotten the score that I got.

Up until 2 months ago, I hadn't studied math for over 7 years. When I started the Magoosh practice questions, I was scoring poorly on the quantitative questions but was able to immediately watch video lectures relevant to the questions and then do related practice questions to cement the concepts.

Magoosh thoroughly explained the GRE and all of the concepts that were present on the exam. The study plans, practice questions/exams, and other materials like the vocabulary flashcards and vocabulary builder were crucial in preparing me to sit for the exam. Approaching the GRE can be a daunting task for many, but Magoosh is a wonderful asset to have when one decides to sit for the exam. I was able to identify weaknesses that I had and rectify them and was better prepared overall to sit for the exam. Magoosh is a must-have study tool when studying for the GRE. It was for me.
