You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The magoosh lessons are of very good quality . The faculty teaching the lessons are great .The content is relevant , exhaustive and covers all the topics relevant to GRE . The content is well organised and one can go through any topic of his choice at any time . The practice questions are great to get accustomed to the various GRE questions of all difficulty levels . I always received apt clarifications and guidance whenever required .

Magoosh helped me a lot. Unlike the normal prep videos, the lessons by Mike & Chris were never boring. Every video has an important concept in it. They really helped to increase my verbal score as well as quant.. Magoosh's support was awesome with quick response and in depth clarifications. Previously, while preparing for my first attempt, I studied excessively and most of the preparation was irrelevant to the GRE. But, in my second attempt I diligently practiced Magoosh , which has the exact material what you need to study for the GRE. Without Magoosh I would not have achieved this score.

If it had not been for Magoosh, I would have never been able to solve questions of so many types and topics. The pool of questions is just enough for a perfect hands on practice. More than anything else, all my doubts were promptly answered by the team. Every small and lengthy doubts were so lucidly explained by the team with reference video lessons. I can't thank Magoosh enough for being an excellent e-school for my GRE!

The different lesson plans were incredibly helpful. While I didn't follow them exactly, they showed me how to approach studying. The strategy videos undoubtedly made the most difference in terms of improving performance on test day, but I also appreciated the "suggested lessons" that pop up when you get a question wrong. Compared to the hundreds of dollars worth of GRE prep books I borrowed from friends, I'm positive Magoosh made just as much if not more of a difference in my actual score. If it wasn't for you guys, I probably would've had to fork over hundreds in shittily designed and executed prep courses so THANK YOU!

Magoosh was the only material I used for my vocabulary. The magoosh flashcards app, their vocabulary builder, are pivotal to my score. I can't believe they provide such a beautiful material for free. The gre vocabulary book is AWESOME.

I used Magoosh's video lessons to review math concepts I'd forgotten and then I practised sums and tests multiple times! The video explanations, timed questions and vocabulary flash cards were very useful and I learned some new math rules too.

I pretty much only used Magoosh for the practice problems and lessons over the material I was rusty on. While I might not have been using the resource to its full extent, I felt like I was able to directly confront my weakest areas. For me, the best part about Magoosh was its flexibility, allowing me to shape and mold their content to fit my own learning style.

Magoosh was great verbal techniques. RC's were my biggest weakness, and Chris' tutorials helped a lot.
For Math, Mike's strategies were spot on.

Magoosh provided an exhaustive list of questions which helped me prepare for the tests in a better way.

As a non-traditional student (I graduated with a Bachelor's degree over 30 years ago), I really needed, and liked, the Magoosh system. Magoosh gave me many useful strategies for attacking the Verbal problems. I liked the math review, however, I'm not sure why I couldn't increase my speed to finish all the problems in the Quantitative sections. I guess I needed to do more timed math problems.

It made studying easy. I could study on the bus, from home, or during a break at work. And I could study for 15 minutes or hours on end and it felt productive either way. I think the vocabulary flashcard app and the math videos helped me the most, and the practice test was just like the real thing. One of the essay questions I answered on a practice test was almost the exact same issue question that I got on the real test!

Magoosh is exceptionally good at providing in-depth solutions to each and every question.The practice tests simulate the actual GRE experience quite perfectly too and the scores predicted are correct to the accuracy of +-2 marks.

By providing a huge range of question types, elaborate lectures and video and text explanation for each and every question, prepared me for almost every type of problem that I could face during the exam. Also, prompt responses (in a day though..:P) to all my queries.

So I took the GRE about two years ago with very, very little preparation beforehand... and ended up with a less than satisfactory score. I thought would at least have no problem with the math problems, but the 162 quant said otherwise :(. This time, I had to get serious. Bought the 6 month prep for a 7 week prep session. It was nice to know that if I still didn't do too well this time, I could still come back and use the Magoosh product. To be honest, the Magoosh prep questions were much more challenging than the actual GRE... but of course I did not know this prior to taking the exam yesterday! At first, the Magoosh material contained many problems that had me feeling "man, I am not ready AT ALL!" and so this really forced me to try to understand each and every problem. I wrote down every math problem I couldn't do in a notebook, and also used the vocab app extensively, making my own notecards for the words I did not recognize. This helped immensely. The goal was 170 quant and at least 160 verbal... so glad to be able to say both were accomplished, thanks to Magoosh! (Also the 6 additional practice exams from Manhattan were very helpful as well, but I'd say 80% of my thanks go to Magoosh, 20% to Manhattan.)

I was quite weak in Verbal and used to score 152-154 in the mock tests. I felt that, if only I knew more words, I could improve my scores. A friend sent referred Magoosh to me. I spent a couple of weeks learning the words. After learning the words, I scored 158 in Powerprep and 159 on the actual GRE. Magoosh helped me increase my scores by 5 points (in Verbal) which is a huge leap indeed.

Verbals and vocabulary

Magoosh is, without any doubt, the best platform for GRE prep. The videos lessons are so informative, helping the student work in the right direction and thinking the 'GRE' way. The questions that range from Easy to Very Hard provide an ample amount of practice and helps one identify their strengths and weaknesses. Magoosh Basic and Common Flashcards are all the vocab you need for a good score.

I owe the 11 point increase in my score to Magoosh!

I really appreciate the vocabulary builder, it helps me built semantic links between all these abstruse words -- be they (originated from) Latin, Greek, French, Germany, or Spanish.

Magoosh was so helpful! I needed a program that would reteach me the basics for the quantitative section and Magoosh did just that. I also loved how many different study tools Magoosh provides. I have referred this program to almost a dozen people at this point because my results far exceeded my expectations. It proved very helpful for me and I am grateful I did not have to spend a fortune for the program.

Magoosh was extremely instrumental in helping me achieve my goals on the GRE. The video lessons covered everything that I needed and were very clear and concise. I used the math focused study plan to direct my studies which was very useful. The many practice questions helped me to feel confident going in to take the test. Magoosh was pivotal to my GRE preparation, I gave 8 mocks on Magoosh which boosted my stamina and made me more confident during the test. The quality of questions is very good and the follow-up explanations (especially by Chris Lele) are amazing. Before starting with my preparation on Magoosh I was going through some standard books but I couldn't connect with the explanations provided for verbal section-I always felt my answer was justified-however, the explanation videos on Magoosh helped me look at the question in a different way, now, I could look for sentence shifters and double negations.
