You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I really loved the step by step videos for each practice problem! Having a question and just an answer almost never helps, so the detailed answer explanation was perfect. It was a lot like having a private tutor in that way!

The videos were helpful, and the practice problems were challenging and on par pr even slightly more difficult than on the real exam. The solution explanations were useful too. The 90 day advanced study plan was good and something I followed nearly exactly.

Magoosh was amazing! When I first started studying for the GRE, I was really overwhelmed by the sheer amount of material I had to go over. I was drawn to Magoosh because of the concrete study schedules they offered. I loved knowing exactly what I needed to do each day. I followed the 30 day schedule-- however, I would say that it definitely took me longer than 2-3 hours to finish everything, so keep this in mind!

The math/verbal/writing videos were excellent and so helpful! There are plenty of practice problems, and as others have mentioned, they are harder than the actual test questions. I was really worried about the writing portion of the GRE, but I ended up scoring the highest in writing (5.0). Thanks Magoosh!!

The last time I took the GREs was over 20 years ago. The thought of facing this beast again while working a demanding full time job had me seriously reconsider my thoughts of going back to school. But I decided to give it 4 months with Magoosh and I am glad I did. Practice-practice-practice is what helped the most for me. I made sure to fit in multiple custom test practices every week and reviewed the video for every answer I missed. I also did all four of the full practice tests offered through Magoosh as well as the two on the ETS site. I didn't hit the 325 score I was hoping for but, hey, 321 is pretty darn close and gets me to where I need to be!

Magoosh was literally C.R.U.C.I.A.L to me! For a non-native speaker like me, the GRE was really challenging, and I thought I could never make it. But the staff helped me step by step and made everything much much much easier! Without magoosh I would never be able to pass the test with the mark I wanted. It was like having a personal tutor 24 hours a day, always ready to give me explanations and to help me. Thanks magoosh!

It provided me with an excellent study plan that offered lots of flexibility to fit with my busy schedule. The identical layout to the actual exam, and what I thought was harder questions than what was on the actual exam allowed me to feel confident and prepared come test day. I received scores that I couldn't hope to obtain without Magoosh.

I highly recommend Magoosh for someone aiming 335+ in GRE. The level of questions were spot on- neither too difficult nor too easy, I think that's where Magoosh takes the cake.
Moreover the support I got from Magoosh staff was phenomenal - they helped me out in every way possible- from extending my account free of cost for nearly 4 months to preparing a tailored plan of study to help me crack 165+ on verbal. Given my first language is not English, I was struggling with GRE Verbal Reasoning until I found magoosh recommended by my friends. I purchased the premium and started to practice problems in the Magoosh. Honestly, the verbal reasoning in Magoosh is relatively harder than the actual exam, so I can handle some difficult questions in the actual exam unflappable and finally reach my target goal after all. In addition, Chris's explanation of several problems is very clear and forthcoming, I learned a lot from his illustrations.
I memorized almost 1000 words from Magoosh Gre Vocabulary, it does help me a lot. Last but not least, even though the Quantity part was not the part I worried, I made mistakes that I didn't even focus on. Thanks for the videos offered by Magoosh, which makes explicit explanations of some math questions that I always trapped in. Owing to its help, I can achieve 167 in my math part.

What separates Magoosh from the large pack of GRE-preparatory courses is the thorough explanations for each and every practice problem available. Learning from your mistakes is the best preparation tool; perhaps it is a trite remark, but it really is true. To anyone considering Magoosh, I highly recommend the experience. Just do yourself a favor and take meticulous notes of your mistakes. You will see monumental improvement if you adhere to that principle. Good luck!

Magoosh customized practice test and lessons helped me a lot. As I am working and don't get much time to study, the lessons cleared my concepts faster. The customized practice test helped me practice with proper timings, just like the actual exam.

Especially helped me to learn tips for the Verbal section, and also provided practice exams with predicted scoring tools which helped me to be a lot less nervous this time when I took the GRE.

Due to the specialized courses I take for my major, I haven't done general math or written an academic paper since high school, which was 4 years ago. Magoosh's video lessons and explanations definitely helped to refresh these basic skills, and I was able to pick up on all topics very easily, reinforced by the myriad of questions that were offered. In fact, the practice questions and explanations were so well done that I was finally able to understand some problem solving questions that troubled me all through high school!

In addition, the "your average page" vs "others' average pace" display was super helpful in that I learned to pace myself - differently, for different questions - and that it was okay to spend 3 minutes on a hard question, as long as I was sure I could do the easier questions faster to make up for the lost time.

Lastly, I just have to say that Magoosh's vocabulary list is spot on, and especially that blog post about how to memorize vocabulary. I've never improved my vocabulary so efficiently in my life. (900 words from Magoosh and other sources in less than 2 months!)

Magoosh provided comprehensive material for studying for the GRE.I loved the video lessons and 1000+ questions.I could focus more on my weak points and this helped to optimize my final score.The GRE is as much about solving the questions as it is about the race against time. Magoosh gave a good snapshot of everything on the test. Its interface urged me to try to get better and work harder in my preparation. In short Magoosh does not let you settle for less.

The math videos taught me all of the high school math I had forgotten, and they provided a lot of helpful strategies for quickly answering difficult questions. The vocabulary was also very useful. Finally, Magoosh's questions were very similar to--and often harder than--the questions that appeared on the test. Anyone who puts in the time with Magoosh will succeed!

First things first, the "before" scores I listed above were from my first ETS practice exam (taken three months prior to the real test and prior to any prep/studying), not from a previous GRE that I took. But that doesn't take away any of the credit that should be given to Magoosh in helping me achieve such a big improvement and a very high and desirable score.

The thing I loved most about Magoosh were the lesson videos, which were very thorough and very clear. So, it was really easy to follow and understand. Next thing I loved about Magoosh were their practice questions and score predictor. Being able to compare my own pace with other people's and also to see a (slow but) gradual improvement in my score (through the predictor tool) served as a great motivator. Last but not least, I loved the study plans and the option to pick either the verbal-focused one or the math-focused one. I'm a "check-list" kind of person. So I was happy to find that they have schedules that I could follow and it was definitely helpful to have something to keep myself on track.

Along with these three things, I also loved the articles of the month, the transcripts under each video, the option to play a video slower or faster according to personal needs, etc etc. There are so many things that I love about Magoosh, even their choice of color! Purple is my favorite color, but I digress. All in all, to anyone who wants to improve their GRE scores, I highly recommend Magoosh.

Magoosh does help me a lot, especiall the verbal section. My vocabulary was poor, however, thru using Magoosh GRE VOCAB flashcards, my verbal score skyrocketed in three months.

Magoosh was absolutely amazing! Before I started the Magoosh program I had bought probably a dozen different study books and I tried to teach myself from the books. The first time I took the GRE in December 2014, I did not get close to the score that I wanted from that study method. I decided to dedicate myself to studying for the test again and I heard about Magoosh and gave it a chance. It is such a great study program because I was able to study on my schedule, identifying my weaknesses and watching the instructive videos for those weakest areas. One of the greatest things about Magoosh is the fact that there are over 1000 practice questions and every single question has a video to actually show how to work out every problem. For someone like me who learns best from being shown step by step how to do something, the help that I was given was invaluable. Before starting studying for the GRE the second time I had set myself a goal of raising my score from a 310 to a 320, and in May 2015 when I retook the test that is exactly the score I got!

Practice practice and practice. Lots of practice questions.

Magoosh was AMAZING. I really needed the math lessons because I hadn't taken math since high school. They were incredible and the tricks and tips made a huge difference. The vocab apps were game changers. I have already recommended this program to many people. Totally worth the investment! I couldn't have sone it without Magoosh, and I'm feeling a *lot* more confident about grad school admission.

What I like is your clear explanation, very good text questions and simulation tests which are a little harder than the real test. And of course the Magoosh Flash Cards!
