I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It really helped me with my math.

Well I consider myself a geriatric GRE tester. Meaning, I am 43 and have not done math since college and while I did get an A in Calculus then that information seems to have vaporized since. I did not know where to start. Magoosh mapped out a reasonable path. Without Mike and his big ideas, deep thoughts and constant reminders of DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT memorize, I would have failed the math completely. The videos were easy to understand and went at the very slow pace I needed.
Chris was also helpful in understanding how to approach the Verbal. Again very comprehensive and concise videos.
Overall. I love Magoosh.
In fact, I kind of miss it now :)

Magoosh provided me with easily accessible and concise lecture videos along with a great set of questions which is the best aspect of magoosh.

I loved the videos showing how to solve problems.

What I like most about Magoosh, apart from the awesome videos that explain every topic under the syllabus in great detail is the way in which the practice questions are accessible: you can take them any number of times, sort them according to difficulty levels and topics, review them and filter them according to various other parameters. Magoosh Student help is another great feature, all my questions were answered promptly and in great detail.

The product is amazing, and coupled with an extremely well maintained and well written blog is the only thing one needs to crack the GRE. Having more than a 1000 questions in the product, it is amazing to see that for each and every question there is a detailed explanation video and text. This shows how dedicated Magoosh team is to deliver the best quality study material on the web, and indeed it helped me a lot to understand the important concepts.

I loved Magoosh's math instruction. Math has never been my forte, but as I went through the modules everything was presented very clearly and as a result I was able to intuitively grasp even difficult concepts. When I first started studying for my GRE I was dreading the math section, but as I went through more modules and did more practice questions, I began to think about how Magoosh's instructors would tell students to approach these questions, and I became more confident.

For the verbal instruction, I really liked the pointers that Chris gives, like focusing on transitions on fill-in-the-blank sentences. These techniques helped me on test day under the time crunch.

Magoosh was great! The videos, especially the math ones were super helpful. The GRE, like many standardized tests, not only test knowledge but also test taking strategies. I think Magoosh did a great job on focusing on those specific strategies that are useful for the exam. I know the reason for my great improvement in math (I would consistently get 154 in math on all practice tests but 160 on the real thing!) was solely due to the excellent math videos and practice questions. Thanks Magoosh!!

It helped me pinpoint my weaknesses, and the videos helped me understand how to specifically improve on those certain areas. The tips were helpful, both through the video answers and Magoosh blog, because they teach you the common mistakes students make and shortcuts for the test. I really like how the questions are categorized by level of difficulty, and that you can see how long you spend on each question, as well as how long it takes overall. You can't get that with practice books, and I think I really improved on my pacing through Magoosh. It's great that you can filter your practice questions by question type, difficulty, and practice/quiz mode. Also, I used the vocab app all the time, so it's great that it's available on your phone.

The video lessons were especially helpful for quantitative review, which is where I needed the most help. Additionally, the vocabulary flashcards were a great tool for getting through a lot of vocab quickly.

The blog posts and study tips/guides were also instrumental for my success on the GRE.

It has a intense set of GRE standard or tougher verbal questions, along with timer for every single question which helped for time management. I also liked the video explanation which is the best part in your UI. Magooshers are really quick in reply our doubts , maximum in a day and I could see that the explanations were comprehensive ,once I asked a question beyond magoosh ,which was also answered . I could see that your team is passionate and ready to help students at most with blogs , videos, pdfs ... Thank you soo much guys for helping me for the prep , I had a enjoyed my prep with you .. Magoosh couldn't have prepared me better to retake the GRE. I followed the 30-day study plan, and I completed all the lessons and practice problems. The first time I took the test I had studied for 3 months. Magoosh was obviously all I needed to boost my scores significantly in a short period of time.

The math lesson is thorough, I use nothing else concerning math. The questions are excellent.

I started from Princeton Review but it felt quite monotonous doing a single type of problem at a stretch. Magoosh gave me the perfect mixed bag which made it interesting, especially the vocabulary section. Thankfully, it was permitted on my office intranet making it all the more accessible. You guys made it possible.

Magoosh was sooo great throughout. the video lectures helped me quite a bit and the practice tests gave me an idea of how the test will pan out. Helped me build test day stamina too. The best Magoosh feature is the help centre. The most help i got for personal over emails by the Magoosh Staff. A BIG BIG, shout out to all of you. Thanks alot, im so glad in enrolled here instead of anywhere else. :)

It's an awesome study tool! There are loads of practice questions with great video and text explanations of how to work each problem. There are also more in-depth video lessons corresponding to the concepts tested in the problem available at the bottom of each page. I think the ability to 'flag' questions and save your own notes on each question to revisit later is invaluable. The fact that you guys have ready made study plans ranging from 6 months out to 1 week before the test was very impressive and helped me a great deal.

Magoosh was by far the main reason I got the scores that I did. Firstly, these scores don't look that great to many people, however my background is a little different. I am from Australia where unless you actually specifically study math and literature at university your education of these areas ends when you graduate from high school. We do not have the foundations courses for these areas in our degrees like I am told the USA does. While I am almost finished my undergrad it is 11 years since I graduated high school and therefore 11 years since I focused on math and english. I had forgotten a lot. Magoosh was BRILLIANT in walking me through all the basics again and also walking be through every topic video by video and the questions and explanations where invaluable. Even the small amount of essay videos were excellent (I got a 5.5 on AWA). I expanded out the Magoosh 1 month specific day to day study planner as I had 2 months to study for the GRE and this planner was another lifesaver. All the resources were of a high quality and the support was excellent. I would certainly recommend Magoosh to anyone planning to study for the GRE. They are, with out a doubt in my mind, the biggest reason I achieved these scores. My scores exceed the minimums I need for my program in health sciences, in fact the head of the department was suitably impressed with these, and I am now onto the application stage.

Refreshed my knowledge base and helped me identify common mental traps to avoid

Magoosh helps me understand better how ETS group has designed the verbal part of GRE and the way of anaylizing every question. Also its computer screen helps me get accustomed to having exam on the computer.

The vocab flash cards and practice questions are magical!!! I took the GMAT and bombed it and decided I wanted to switch over to the GRE but the problem was I only had 20 days to study for it...actually less with the college work and my part-time jobs!

Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to reach a 160 for Verbal since I felt the GRE Verbal was even harder than the GMAT Verbal which I really struggled with. But Chris Lele's videos and the Magoosh vocab apps saved my life!

I could have definitely done better on the Math -- if I had more time, I would have watched all of the videos and done all of the practice questions (which were really really useful!) Will definitely return to Magoosh if I ever need to do standardized testing again!!

One unique and unexpected help that Magoosh gave me was preparation for the experimental section. The ETS PowerPrep tests do not have a test or experimental section, and I didn't realize how much it can throw you off until I experienced it in the Magoosh practice test. On test day, I was expecting it and it did not cause any issues.

The Practice section of your website is outstanding. It was so helpful to be able to choose different subjects, target different areas, work on speed or accuracy, choose practice mode or test mode. The video explanations of each question helped especially. I actually enjoyed trying the questions and then watching the video because it felt like I was back in school. I felt myself re-mastering concepts I learned several years ago.

I loved the interactive nature of the video sessions, especially the Verbal section. That gave me the confidence and belief to differentiate between the incorrect and the correct answer choices. I loved Chris' enthusiasm in these videos.
Also the quantitative ability question set was so comprehensive in its scope and range of questions from different difficulty levels that the actual GRE was a cakewalk
