You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I used Magoosh to refresh my basics, practice mostly verbal and some quant. The analysis of test performance was useful in identifying areas for improvement. I found manhattan specific topic guides very helpful especially for the areas were I was struggling & to practice math skills. Then used ETS question for practice. Magoosh's blogs were very honest and helpful in guiding my choice of learning materials which I really appreciate. Thank you.

Magoosh was very helpful in my preparation for the GRE, especially since I did not have a lot of time to prepare, as I work full time.

The verbal section is very well covered in the lectures. I didn't refer to the math section much, since I have a strong math background already.

My scores were also very accurately predicted by Magoosh, my actual verbal score was 157, and Magoosh had me at (157-162). And my actual quant score was 166, and Magoosh had me at (162-166).

Magoosh is amazing. The videos helped me break the study up into little chunks that didn't get overwhelming; I really liked being able to pause the video and work along with the instructor. There are so many practice problems, too. You guys really helped me!

Magoosh had lots of well written practice problems and a great tracking system that allows you to review incorrect and flagged questions. Magooshes strength is the quality and quantity of their practice problems.

I mostly used Magoosh to brush up on my math and it was absolutely wonderful! I actually think Magoosh math was a bit harder and so the estimation of my score was actually lower than my actual score. I've already referred Magoosh to two of my friends.

The practice problems left me well prepared on test day. Having seen the problems I would w working with allowed me feel comfortable and secure during the real test.

Magoosh is the best when it comes to GRE prep, I am thankful I found about it through Quora and instantly registered. The best thing about Magoosh is Chris :), he made verbal fun, and I was always eager to listen to his explanations! Also Magoosh has good practice questions and the whole system with the dashboard etc. is very well designed!!!

Magoosh was a great help in studying for the GRE, especially in how easy it was to practice online and get immediate feedback and help with the videos.

It helped me to become familiar with the exam and prepare strategies to attack it. The vocabulary flashcards and practice tests were extremely helpful. I had a little low-time during the actual exam so I failed one math section, but with my preparation with Magoosh, I am pretty confident I could have scored around 165-168.

I used only Magoosh practice questions to prepare for the exam. The math questions covered all the topics of the exam and it is more than enough to score 170. In verbal the SE and TC were very helpful.

Magoosh helped me learn different strategies for approaching the quantitative section. It provided me with a variety of questions that mimicked the actual test. It also had great tips for the writing section. The vocabulary app was so useful and easy to use. Overall, I'm really glad I used Magoosh.

As I had a quite tight schedule, I needed a good resource to familiarize myself with the structure of GRE within a week or two. Magoosh proved to be a rather effective. The video lessons for the verbal section were great and helped me understand the optimal strategies in no time. I cannot emphasize more that the Vocabulary Flashcards proved to be the most useful tool! I was literally walking around the campus with my phone out all the time clicking and swiping for new words to appear. Thus I was able to optimize even the time walking from one place to another.

The video explanations and lessons were great at clarifying various concepts. I found the Verbal Reasoning practice questions and video explanations especially useful: while I was already at a good level, the video explanations (especially for the questions I got wrong) allowed me to understand the more subtle aspects of the questions and answers and and enabled me to get the maximum score for the Verbal Reasoning section!

When I found out about Magoosh one month before my schedules test, I thought it would be my salvation. Now that I am done taking the GRE, I am completely sure about it. All the resources Magoosh offers on the website were absolutely helpful, but the exercises and, most of all, the explanations to the exercises, got me confident about doing well.

I have to say I was not the most disciplined student during test day: as I had to take a plane very early in the morning to take the test in a different city, I didn't get enough sleep. During the test experience, I was feeling quite dizzy, as if it was a dream or some kind of parallel reality. When I was done, it seemed like I had been at the test center for more than twice the actual time. Nonetheless, it seems like it worked somehow, as I got pretty good scores on verbal and quantitative (still waiting AWA results).

After one month of daily contact - even though we did not communicate by email, as I reasoned lessons and explanations were enough -, I want to thank Magoosh staff for this intense experience. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must leave, for I still have a statement of purpose to write.

I found verbal questions and math video lessons extremely helpful for me.

I panicked a week before the test and found Magoosh online. I didn't think one week would be long enough to make any sort of improvements, but with Magoosh it was! I started trying practice problems, and when I missed a question I watched the instructional video. I also downloaded the verbal quiz app on my phone, and a couple of the words I learned actually showed up on the test!

the practice problems with video and text explanation were definitely helpful, and all the lesson videos. i like the automated emails as well, like the one for the test day tips. overall, very helpful in preparing me for the gre.

Video lessons for the tricks in the math section. Really like the video solutions for every problem.

If it had not been for Magoosh, I wouldn't have been able to get the score that I have obtained. I decided to sit the GRE very late and had only three weeks to cover all the maths and verbal reasoning topics for the exam. Through short and informative videos, well-constructed practice questions with attached explanation, and comprehensive study plans I managed to learn maths (which I considered myself to be particularly terrible at) well enough to obtain a median GRE score in the grad school I am planning to apply to. Even if I don't get in this year, Magoosh convinced me that I am capable of getting a decent score; I will most certainly seek Magoosh's support next time I have to prepare for the GRE or any other of the tests taught by Magoosh.

I also very much enjoyed and appreciated receiving frequent reminders about my studying routine and information about how to improve my performance at the GRE. The e-mail I received just a day before the test day, wishing me good luck and reminding me to take a warm sweater and something to eat with me, was an especially touching gesture. Magoosh was terrific. The videos were straightforward and helpful and the practice questions made me feel genuinely prepared. I studied for the test 20 years after taking high school math and I have a newborn baby. Magoosh helped me get a great score even with those challenges. So glad I went with you guys.

It helped me improve my math score and review concepts that I learned ages ago. I also learned a more systematic approach to conquering the Analytic Writing section so that it didn't affect the other sections of the test. Improvement on these two sections (where I normally have anxiety) also allowed me to focus more of my mental energy on a section I DO do well on, improving my verbal score considerably!

Magoosh was excellent for someone like me who was getting back to studies after working for almost 5.5 yrs. The videos were very helpful to understand the basics. The blogs had a whole lot of information that I could read up on for my GRE and Magoosh team was always accessible and extremely prompt in replying to any questions on GRE.
