You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh was definitely of great help! I studied following the 90-day plan for beginners and everyday I felt that I was constatly improving. The videos were extremely helpful and the phone apps allowed me to study GRE words at any time.

Magoosh helped me get accustomed to the types of questions asked on the GRE and estimate how well I could expect to do. It was also very valuable in helping me identify what areas I needed to work on.

Magoosh helped me by providing me first class math and verbal lessons and practice exercises. It also taught me how to approach the GRE and gave me insight tips I wouldn't have found anywhere else. By far the most complete GRE prep source out there!

The breadth of practice questions accustomed me to the variety I might see on test day. The one-month study plan clearly laid out my expectations on a student. The vocab flashcards are very user friendly and brought my reading to the next level. The frequent check-ins from staff made me feel as though I mattered and gave me confidence in what is truly an exhausting experience.

Magoosh's video solutions for the math questions was single handedly the best resource I found for tips on the fastest way to solve the question. There were hidden time savers on shortcuts to problems. The questions and solutions are all geared to getting the highest score the fastest way possible, not trying to teach you an entire algebra course. The part that sets Magoosh above the rest was the word problem section and the flashcard app. The flashcard app incorporates words you have difficulty getting right back into the rotation until you answer correctly multiple times so you don't get a false sense of remembering. Overall this company was the absolute best return on a resource I have ever experienced. I can't say enough good things about you guys.

Really helped with math!

I used Magoosh on top of studying with the ETS and Princeton Review GRE prep textbooks. The Magoosh video lessons helped guide my studying and provided me with a classroom-like structure, without having to pay the price of a GRE class. Being able to listen and watch a Magoosh instructor go through the material really helped me gain a better understanding of the lesson. Plus, since I could pick and choose which videos I wanted to watch, I did not have to sit through tedious lessons on topics I was already familiar with. Magoosh helped me customize my studying to fit my needs, and since I already had a strong verbal score and really just needed math review, this is exactly what I wanted. The practice tests helped me to get familiar with the computer based test format and being able to track the questions I got right and wrong helped focus my studying. Plus, Magoosh's score estimate helped me to see exactly where I was at and motivated me to keep studying until I reached my target score. In the end, I scored above my goal in both verbal and math, and Magoosh definitely helped me accomplish that. I will definitely recommend Magoosh to all my friends taking the GRE.

It gave me confidence in the math sections. It helped me keep my nerve. The flash cards and the english questions were stellar- I didn't even blink twice at the questions that were put forth in the GRE English section.

Oh my goodness. Magoosh was seriously a lifesaver for me! The first time I took the GRE, I took a Kaplan prep class. The classroom setting ended up not really helping me, and there was just not enough material or explanation that seemed to benefit me. The instructor was nice, but overall, it was not a good fit for my learning, and I needed some extensive math review (I was going on a little over 6 years with no math review or classes) and vocab refreshers. So, the first time I took the GRE and saw my score, I was crushed and just felt very discouraged and disappointed in myself. I knew I needed to get a better score, and I knew I was capable of doing better, and that is when I found Magoosh online. The video explanations are on point in teaching students how to identify mistakes before you make them (like the little tricks the GRE test writers like to throw in). Also, the video explanations helped me truly understand how to approach the questions, and helped me identify my mistakes when I got an incorrect answer. Being able to watch these videos multiple times if need be truly helped me improve my initial very lackluster score. Well worth it! And I think if I had given myself a bit more time, I could have definitely improved much more in the math section (so make sure to give yourself adequate prep time for maximum results). Helped a lot in practicing verbal questions.

Everything about Magoosh is awesome. I however advise users of Magoosh to review explanations to the questions: especially the incorrectly-answered questions. Frankly, if you hardly review what you fail, at least to see your mistakes or ignorance or both, you have little prospect of improvement. I wish you success in your GRE. Instructional videos were extremely helpful in explaining math concepts and test-taking strategies. Also, the iOS vocabulary flashcard app helped me learn vocabulary words that actually appeared on the test.

There was a lot of material on the GRE that I was nervous about because it had been so long since I had worked with math, and I wasn't confident in my vocabulary level. Watching the video lessons that Magoosh provided and doing lots of practice problems and using the math and verbal flashcards helped me fill a lot of the gaps that I had started the studying process with.

Solve problems faster. In general, I have been able to solve every math problem on GRE, but my initial methods were far too slow. Tutorials helped tremendously with applying methods that drastically sped up my solution times.

A lot! Especially verbal score! It is the closest to real GRE besides prep ( though much harder)

Magoosh is the sole reason for my score, which I consider very high for myself, in GRE. The strategies taught in verbal lessons and the vast question bank helped me learn and practice the strategies. The higher difficulty level of Magoosh questions made actual GRE questions less intimidating.

Magoosh math practice questions covered all possible areas which GRE math section tests. Nuanced questions made me identify my mistakes and correct them.

Most importantly Chris's blog posts helped me not to give up when I scored very low in practice tests. The optimistic view which Chris brought in the lectures and blog posts made me continue even when hit the rock bottom.

The video lessons are useful in that it confers useful techniques I can use to crack the intimidating text completion questions.

I have subscribed to the premium membership, so I am able to train myself with over 500 verbal questions, which has prepped me well enough to at least get through the taxing computer-based test.

I was quite daunted by GRE,for I had only 40 days to prepare and I'm not a native speaker. Magoosh verbal lessons helped me to learn about what would be tested and how should I do to prepare in a brief and enjoyable way,which really saved me much time.What' more,the questions are great,and I find they are quite similar to actual ones.Finally,I'd like to thank those people who answered my questions timely and pellucidly: Ravi, Adam and Jonathan,you've done a wonderful job.

Magoosh was an incredible resource. It was the only thing I used for studying and it was excellent. It has totally raised my expectations for any learning material. I cannot recommend it enough. It completely transformed my relationship to taking the GRE and to learning at large.

Firstly, Magoosh provided me with a well-designed, albeit intensive, month-long study plan. Without this plan, I probably would not have been able to pace myself through all of the amazing Magoosh content (videos and practice questions) in such a short time.

Magoosh has lessons for every single quantitative and verbal topic and question type that could show up on the test. By going through all of this content I was able to ensure that I was well-prepared for test day, and that no nasty surprise topics would show up that I had not already worked on.

The teachers in the Magoosh videos explain the subjects very clearly and with insight, and intersperse practice questions throughout the videos to make sure the viewer is grasping the material.

The interface is also top-notch; its best feature in my opinion is that it allows students to track their progress: which videos they have watched and understood, which practice questions they got right or wrong, and based on this information what scores they are likely to earn on the actual test.
