You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh provided me with an affordable and accessible tool to study for the GRE in just 3 weeks. I used the day-by-day 1-month study guide, which was very comprehensive and helped me prioritize subjects and stick to a strict study schedule. I also really appreciated the tools used to track my strengths, weaknesses and progress, such as the flagging system, custom practice sessions and the score estimator. The practice questions are thoughtfully crafted and the explanations are very helpful and straightforward. I was actually really nervous about taking the GRE--I've never been great at standardized testing, my vocabulary is not strong, I didn't have a lot of time to study and I couldn't afford to take a proper class. Magoosh really helped build my confidence and I went into the test feeling relaxed and very prepared. It's a great tool!

The first time I took the GRE, I relied solely on test prep books, drawing from Barron's as well as Princeton and a couple of other resources. In preparation to re-take the GRE, I used Magoosh as my primary source of study material (with deviations only for the Magoosh study plan-recommended materials, such as NOVA for practice and Manhattan Prep practice exams). Everything about Magoosh was great-- from the engaging instructional videos to the practice problems that I did find were as hard or harder than the actual GRE problems. I would actually say that the Magoosh practice exams are MORE valuable than the ETS Powerprep exams because of Magoosh's inclusion of the experimental section--there is no better training for test-day-stamina than to have that extra section thrown in. The Magoosh help desk has also been unfailingly helpful, friendly, and patient, even when confronted with my sometimes inane questions.

Magoosh got me up to speed on concepts for the quantitative section that I hadn't studied in years. There was quite a bit of rust to knock off!

The test taking function was beyond my initial expectations. Linked video lessons for each problem for that price? Wow. And the lessons are just top notch. I'm glad I chose Magoosh.

Also, the Vocabulary Builder app with Merriam-Webster app was a groundbreaking combination for me :)

It improved my text completion and sentence equivalent skills. Also, it enhanced my reading speed, especially within limited time.

And through magoosh I reviewed math knowledge, which is very helpful

The video lectures were exhaustive and very well articulated. The practice questions helped immensely, especially because I had the options to customize my practice by choosing the topic for the questions or to answer the questions I had gotten wrong previously. The option for taking notes for each video or question is a valuable time-saver!

Magoosh was really fantastic. I much preferred it to taking a class. I found the videos really helpful, and it was great to study on my own schedule.

The great quantity of questions really helped me understand the logic and custom of GRE test; The great quality of the questions makes the valuable time you spare on practice accountable.

The practice questions were EXTREMELY helpful, especially with video explanations. Timing the questions and comparing to other users was also really critical, especially because my issues with the math section the first time around were all around timing. The videos were great when I needed in-depth review of a topic.

My practice was solely focused on improving my Quant score. I had taken several GRE practice tests before using Magoosh and was stuck at 158. After using Magoosh for a few weeks, I managed to get an extra 2 points on Quant during the real test. I enjoyed Magoosh better than books like Princeton Review because the study sessions were more focused on what I don't know, and how to learn the material I don't understand.

Watching the videos, then relentlessly taking quizzes was very helpful. Through the practice problems and explanation videos, I was able to move beyond a mechanical approach to solving equations to a deeper understanding, which was essential for my success on test day. I also found the math flashcards to be very useful in memorizing formulas and mathematical principles. I would recommend Magoosh to anyone (and already have to several people).

Magoosh was instrumental in helping me getting a good score.I felt that the verbal section was phenomenal!.The questions that I faced in the actual test were very similar to the ones I found in Magoosh.The explanations provided by Chris to every question was remarkable.All in all I loved Magoosh!

It helped provide a framework to process every type of question on the test-- from writing to math to verbal. I was looking to bring up my math score in particular, and I loved the video libraries that clearly broke down every type of problem you could possibly encounter. The huge question bank was amazing, too. I took hundreds of practice questions, which really helped prepare me for test day.

Magoosh lessons helped me refresh my knowledge from ten years ago and pace myself over a period of 7 weeks. By reviewing the videos of incorrect practice questions and following the vocabulary phone application I was able to surpass my target score.

Magoosh taught me all the math concepts that I had forgotten, I could not have done it without Magoosh! The lessons are all super understandable and relevant to the test, and the practice problems are so challenging and helpful! I really like the way that solutions are explained. Especially after a tiring day at work, the lesson videos were a super engaging way to study. Magoosh is amazing!

I loved learning at my own pace. I loved the ability to do practice tests. It was just great all around.

The practice questions in Magoosh are pretty similar in terms of standard to that of the actual GRE. This prepared me in a better way for the GRE. Also the verbal video lessons by Chris are awesome.

English is not my strong point and Magoosh helped me familiarize with the question types. The video explanations to the questions are amazing. The flash cards are best resource for vocabulary.

The math lessons felt personal and tailored. I was able to catch up.

Mainly I needed help for verbal and writing, Magoosh's tutorial were exactly what I needed. Since I had very less time in hand, around 1 week so I did well by that aspect in such a short time. If I had taken the test with more time in hand, I would have surely got around 158 in verbal.

Magoosh was the best test prep that I had, and that includes ETS, Manhattan, Kaplan, Princeton review, Barron among others. I was rather skeptical of the videos but they have proven effective and the predictive score was dot on.

Magoosh gave me the structure that helped me buckle down. The video lessons are really informative and accessible. The practice questions were almost identical to actual GRE questions and the review questions really helped me identify my mistakes. The best part about Magoosh is that it doesn't rely on cheap tricks and shortcuts but equips you with the strategies and skills that teach you not only the material but actually how to take the test.
