You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I was able to relearn all the math concepts that I'd forgotten after high school, and honed my verbal skills through the practice questions.

Great instructional videos and practice problems

Plenty of practice problems harder than those on the test. I also used the 3 month study guide for advanced students (although I only did math practice problems after the first month because my verbal performance as plenty adequate for econ PhD apps.)

The video explanations, in addition to the sheer multitude of practice questions, were the most helpful to me. The videos helped me understand questions I answered incorrectly or solidify my understanding of those I answered correctly. Additionally, whenever I had questions that were not addressed in the video explanations, they were almost always answered in the FAQs below the videos. Magoosh was very thorough!

I really enjoyed the fast responses to my specific questions and the study plan helped me a lot.

Vocabulary training, practice questions, practice test

The bank of practice problems was really awesome. It was really great to get the feel of taking the actual test. Also having the score range predictor gave me confidence going into the exam, and it ended up being an accurate predictor of my score.

Lots of repetition on both math and verbal questions. I started using Magoosh before my first test and was able to utilized it further in preparing for my second test. It was invaluable to be able to do lots of practice questions and get feedback on the score range estimator.

the math review was very helpful. although my score in math only went up a little bit, i haven't taken a math class since 2006 so a lot of the review was catching back up to where i was 10 years ago, and then a little extra.

The well-organized, well-explained lessons were indispensable; especially in helping me improve on my weak points in a short amount of time. The math lessons were much better than any of the GRE Math books I used!

I loved the practice questions. I didn't have to even read what I had to do in a question because of all the practice. I could guess what the questions were about and that saved a lot of time during the exam.

Sentence completion!

The practice questions and timing measurements on the tests were really accurate. The tutorial videos were a good way to brush up on the verbal and math concepts.
I used the the predetermined practice tests without any customization only, and they were really a good indicator of my scores as I ended up getting similar scores on the actual test.

Well, Magoosh provided a lot of good strategies on answering those verbal questions. As a science major and speaking English as a second language, I found Magoosh extremely helpful to overcome my fear of doing verbal questions.

The math practices give me a lot of time to practice, so I understand the math better.

In almost every way. Definitely more difficult than the actual test but great aid nonetheless. Vocabs are really helpful and the reading questions helped trained my critical thinking process.

It really prepped me for the verbal section. The math would probably have helped more if I had more time, although the permutation/combination, statistics, and word problem breakdowns were immensely helpful.

By giving me vocab flashcards to memorize 1000 + words. I also brushed up on probability and combinations problems which happened to be my weakness on the last exam.

Magoosh gave me a clear understanding of what to expect in the GRE. The explanation videos--both quant and verbal--were amazing. The practice problems were harder than what you get--which is good--in the GRE. A side note I got 161 in verbal--had a average vocabulary; had done very little reading; to cap things english is only my second language--I owe only to Magoosh. To summarize Magoosh's GRE product is one complete and through product.
