You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The practice question banks were great. Having the ability to go through questions and then target my weak areas was key, especially given my very strained schedule during the month leading up to the exam.

I watched most of the videos and did about 100 practice problems for each section. I had very little time, but Magoosh helped me get up to speed very quickly. Thank you!

I had initially planned to take the test on 17th of July but had to postpone the exam due to some unavoidable personal commitments. I finally took the exam on 21st of August and managed to score 322. I don't think I would have managed to get this score without Magoosh. The video lessons were excellent and Practice Questions were similar to what I faced on the big day. A big thank you to Chris for making the dreaded Verbal section look easy, Mike, without him I wouldn't have scored a perfect score in Quantitative section, Lucas for TOEFL (I scored 106) , Rachel for her email responses and feedback as well as everyone within the Magoosh Community who are always ready to provide support to students like me. Please keep doing the good things that you are doing now and students will remember you for a long time.

Magoosh is a comprehensive tool where I learned how to solve problems, not just shortcuts. GRE it's about being like a physician: when a new patient come to you, you don't have to need exactly what he has, but you must know what he doesn't. Magoosh is exactly the tool that helps you achieve that level of analysis in GRE questions, where the time is a key factor.

First, the detailed explanations of every practice are really helpful. Second, the practices of verbal in Magoosh are much harder than those in the actual test, so it made me feel much easier during the test.

The videos were very informative and well designed, especially the math ones. The practice questions were challenging and with their adaptive nature I was able to study and do the harder problems. I was very impressed by the detailed explanation that would come with every question and going through them helped me understand the patterns of questions and the test more. The vocabulary guides and flashcards were a lot of fun and extremely easy to use. Though improvement was very gradual and hard to notice at first, I was very pleased when I clicked the "Report My Score" and found that attained my goals!

Prepared for the verbal questions. Helped me find the pace and gained problem solving experience by doing practice tests.

Questions in Quantitative Reasoning in Magoosh are more difficult for me to deal with, which enabled me to get well prepared.

Math is good.

A lot! Although I was good at quants, my verbal was wanting. I loved and watched all of your videos and what can I say about the wonderful people working at Magoosh. I had mailed them countless number of times, when I had doubts, or just plain anxiety, I would just click the shining Help over there and some magoosh angel would come and rescue me and would clear my doubts and placate me. The way they respond is amazing. It's so personal. It's like they care and they do. I have learnt a lot, from the software and the wonderful people. And cherry on the top, Chris, you da man :D Vocab Wednesdays and then Game of Thrones, how wow are you? Your passion for the exam is tremendous. Why do you like this test of endurance so much :P

All of the practice problems and their detailed explanations helped learn how to solve classes of problems, not just individual problems. After doing so many problems the tricks are easy to spot.

I graduated with my MA in 2005, so it has been 10 years since I've been in school and 13 years since I took the GRE! I work full-time and am a mom to two young children, so Magoosh has been a lifesaver. I appreciated three things in particular: 1) the videos to help refresh those dusty math concepts, 2) that your practice questions were harder than the actual test, 3) your apps (so I could watch videos, use the vocab builder, or look at math and verbal flashcards on the go). All of those things helped me get a 324, which is not as high as others, but I will take it! Thank you, thank you for your help! Special shout out to Mike and Chris - I feel like I know you from watching every single lesson video. :) Thanks to the whole Magoosh team! I wish you had been around when I took the GRE in 2002.

Maths questions that I found here were really good especially very hard and hard ones, other prep sites had too easy questions that didn't help me.
As for verbal it was my weakest link, so exceptionally lucid explanations helped me a lot. The practice questions were hard which pushed me to work harder which helped me immensely in scoring 323 on worst possible scenerio(as I was sleep deprived, had cold and high fever on exam day :( )
Plus due to some task as I was not able to prepare in time they extended my subscription two times for free that was really helpful. :)

Magoosh helped me with many of the GRE math problems, some of which were almost verbatim to ones I'd practiced. This saved me precious time on the test. The problem explanations and strategy videos were the best.

The math module topics were all extremely well explained and incredibly helpful. They gave me the hardcore refresher I needed to exceed my own expectations

I liked the videos because it was a great way to review math concepts and learn tricks for the verbal section. I especially like that in some of the math videos, Mike tells you that if you already have a good grasp on X (fractions, divisibility, algebra, etc.), that you should just skip to the end. This kept me from wasting time and watching videos that went over processes I was already familiar with. Also, the practice tests were great. It really gave me a good sense for the timing of the test and prepared me for taking a test that is administered on the computer. Lastly, the study guide helped me pace myself when I was preparing for the test.
I think people's chief reservation in using a site like Magoosh is that you don't have access to an actual instructor, but that's not true at all. I emailed Magoosh at least 3 times to ask questions about various practice questions and examples -- every time I received a response within 24 hours.

I could repeat half of my school math and develop a strategy for a verbal part of the test.
