You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh's problems were definitely more difficult than the GRE's test problems. For the previous test, I used other materials that were same level if not easier than the GRE and therefore I was not improving. I just needed more difficult problems because I felt like I was fairly competent with the previous material I was studying for the first test; this was not the case as shown by my first GRE score. Furthermore, I like how Magoosh teaches you strategies that will help you see differently.

The best part about Magoosh is the many many (well written!) practice problems, as well as a detailed explanation for each question. I especially liked the math questions which I felt were slight more difficult than the actual test questions. It also let me become accustomed to all the tricks that the GRE will try and throw. All the mobile phone apps were also very helpful too. Overall, a BIG THANK YOU for this service!

Practice problems and videos and study schedules - the whole package really helped. Very flexible. I'll keep using it to improve my math score.

RC explanations of Magoosh are simply the best. Really recommend those lectures. SO is the word list. Amazing you guys!!( Got just two words i didnt know in the 2nd verball section)

Targeted practice questions. The fact that I can identify particular subjects and question types that merit more practice is a tremendous advantage over other GRE test prep materials.

It has been I while since I have taken any math courses, and I was unsure about how to think through many of the problems. The math lesson videos were extremely helpfully in getting me the score I needed for grad school.

Practice questions helped a lot. The explanations to questions are great.

The quantitative review videos were tremendously helpful. Not only did they explain the material, they also demonstrated how it was likely to appear on the actual test.

The videos were fantastic and perfect for my short attention span and the limited spurts of time I had during the day to study. The practice questions were excellent and I think slightly more difficult than the actual GRE, which really helped me strengthen my skills. I raised my math score significantly from what I was getting on practice tests when I first started. Compared to GRE books I had purchased this was far and away much more helpful, and the cost cannot be beat.

Lessons, especially math were engaging and insightful. I wished I studied under Mike when I was in high school!

The math section was EXCELLENT. I hadn't seen most of the math on the GRE since high my sophomore year of high school (7 years ago). The math videos provided an incredibly thorough refresher while also teaching me some awesome tricks that have genuinely rekindled my love of problem solving. I may keep finish the math videos even though I don't plan on retaking the test!

All of the math videos and practice questions were very helpful! The study plan suggested by Magoosh kept me on track and the practice tests made the real test feel familiar. The vocab flash cards were great too.

The custom practice was a very handy feature. I was able to practice under timed conditions and with preferred difficulty levels. Practicing the "Very Hard" math problems made GRE math seem super easy - so easy that I was almost paranoid and double/triple checked my answers to make sure I was not falling pray to some sneaky trap like the Magoosh Very Hard problems come with.

-great to have so many questions to practice with, loved that I never really had the feeling that i was going through questions too quickly as I do with other books that only supply 20-30 questions
-liked how the online programs abilities allowed a variety of functions that you couldn't do with a hardcopy textbook including flagging questions, organizing by topics, producing tests, creating time limit/question limit scenarios, etc.

Practice problems were abundant and of high quality. Chris Lele's jokes sometimes made an unexpectedly good mental boost, which was a nice bonus.

Top quality course material, especially the way lessons are built and the user-interface.

Math instructor's explanation is top class. Despite being an engineer with developed methods to solve problems, I found I could still save time.

The video explanations of specific questions along with links to relevant video lessons were a great way to learn the subject matter. I really liked the vocabulary flashcards mobile application and I definitely used the study plans on the site.
