You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It's a comprehensive study tool. Practice questions are great and so are the explanations! Any doubts are promptly answered. The blogs and gre article of month feature is great and so is the flashcard app!

It organized my studying (particularly with math) and helped me become comfortable with the GRE and its question types. When I went into the test, I felt really well-prepared.

The online videos explained so much of how the GRE tests the general math and verbal info. Life saving!

Magoosh was such a valuable resource for me while studying for the GRE, that I can't imagine doing as well as I did without it, so it is very much worth paying for it. As someone who never felt like a "math person", I was terrified of the quant section (I was scoring in the mid 140s before I had started any studying), but after going through all the Magoosh math questions and some of them multiple times, I was consistently scoring at the level necessary to get into the grad school programs of my choice, which at the beginning I thought was impossible. I liked how many hard/very hard questions there were, because it made me feel much more prepared for the actual exam. The tips/tricks on how to answer GRE-specific questions (specifically quantitative comparison, how to do reading comprehension quickly and effectively, how to structure the essays, and sentence equivalence) were also taught well and I found myself using them very often during the real exam. I also appreciate how quickly my questions were answered and the level of thought put into each response is impressive.

The lesson videos, excercises and flashcards were my full preparation for the test.

It's been many years since my last math course, this program helped to dredge up concepts I had long banished to the deeper parts of my memory. The explanations were very helpful and allowed me to achieve a passable score on the math section, something I had previously been convinced was impossible.

Magoosh allowed me to independently guide my training to focus on the areas that I needed the most work rather than following a generic course. It was also extremely mobile- being a consultant that travels 4-5 days every week, the Magoosh mobile apps were essential to my studying because I cause use them on the subway, during taxi rides, even in line at the airport. Lastly, the problems were just the right level of difficulty for the test.

The learning lessons help me most. The teachers taught me plenty of specific methods that I just need in preparing period. And besides, all my questions could be solved perfectly, it's so great.

First the customizable practice feature gives one the opportunity to vary timed practice to one's study mood and condition. It also makes review of wrong or slowly answered questions very convenient. Magoosh's full length practice tests effectively simulate the actual GRE exam experience. The score predictor is also accurate. Then, I like the help support. Emails are usually replied very promptly within 2 working hours. Their advice and suggestions towards preparation are usually effective.

Replies to questions that weren't automated, FAQ sections that actually helped, all the video explanations, the video lessons, the interface, and the list goes on and on!

The videos helped explain the proper way to avoid all the GRE's traps. I knew most material (at least for math) but magoosh helped me understand how to take the test itself.

I used the vocab app to study for the verbal section, and used the practice questions and videos for math. Even as an engineering student, I hadnt done that math in ages and the lessons were extremely helpful!
