You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It made studying palatable because of the interactive format, both on the web and on the apps :) I really enjoyed using Magoosh

The maths videos saved me as I haven't done maths for 10 years. The strategies to deal with verbal questions definitely pointed me in the right direction. The video explanation of each question was extremely helpful. I don't think any other resources are necessary if you make good use of Magoosh website and the flashcards.

The videos and the customizable practice questions were the most help to me. I hadn't done any math in 15 years and, while I still wish I had done better in that category, I wouldn't have done nearly that well without Magoosh.

So many good practice problems! I also relied only on Magoosh videos for advice on the writing portion and got a 5.5. I ended up doing 3 full length practice tests and found that to be most important in my overall success.

The math videos were excellent and the writing videos were very helpful. The vocabulary app was also quite useful. Overall, a great program for self-motivated and disciplined studiers.

I benefited a ton from the Magoosh GRE vocabulary app. A lot of words in the app showed up in the actual exam. I wouldn't have ideas what they mean had I not used your vocab app.

Verbal strategies presented in the videos also proved to be invaluable. The one single most important strategy that I learned for verbal section is "thinking up your own answers before reading provided answers". This definitely helped me in terms of averting confusion by all the similarly-worded answer choices.

Getting a lot of practice questions and seeing myself answering them correctly also boosted my confidence going into the actual exam.

3 month study plan was awesome. Challenging, yet manageable daily workload. Felt very prepared come test day.

Magoosh helped me by giving me strategies for studying. For English it gave me vocabulary to remember and directed me to places to read advanced material. Magoosh also helped me break down complex reading problems and complex passages. For math it gave me strategies to simplify the math problems and do them faster. The main benefit of Magoosh is it gives you a real perspective on what the purpose of each question is which helps you define how to tackle each answer.

Magoosh was a great resource for practice questions, lesson videos, and question explanation. For any trouble area I needed to work on, I knew there would be plenty of Magoosh materials I could use to improve. I also appreciated the Magoosh study plans. I used the 2-3 month plan as a guide for my studying, and it helped me stay on track throughout the course of my preparation.

Gave me a sense of the score level I was at. Also, the lessons were extremely helpful!

The math lessons and practice problems were amazing. The lessons do an excellent job of anticipating points of confusion and spell out very clearly how to approach and handle the math problems.

Practice simulation quite close to the exam. Best summary of the GRE content I could find. Harder than GRE so I did better day of. Time management. Lots of helpful blog posts to really tie it all together.

Good set of practice problems, made it easy to recognize patterns in the test questions and develop strategies for answering them.

Video lessons and question explanations. I found it way more appealing to watch a video instead of reading text.

Magoosh really helped me get reacquainted with math that I haven't used for 15 years and be calm and confident when I took the test, since it's already taken several full length practice tests.

Math review was great. Quantity of practice problems enormously helpful; verbal practice questions were really, really similar to GRE itself

MATH - tips, tactics, etc

Magoosh helped me a lot through practice, although I didn't practice a lot of quant, after having completed the verbal practice I was sure that my score would be more than 325. The questions in the practice are of very good standard and helped me feel confident on the day of exam.
