You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I think Magoosh helped me incredibly. The Magoosh questions were surprisingly a lot more difficult that the ones in the actual exam. I think this is an effective way of preparation.

The lesson tutorial videos were really helpful. It was also great to have access to all of the question types and to have the ability to customize quiz sessions to focus on specific areas.

Magoosh helped me to feel more comfortable during the test day, and to shore up the overall gaps that I had in my knowledge. If I had more time to study, I would have probably done even better.

Magoosh was great. The only reason I missed a perfect score in math was because I succumbed to pressure and was not confident but I think I knew almost everything. Magoosh vocab flashcards were awesome. However, I didnt revise the words too well and couldn't manage time.

The math videos were super helpful. The Verbal videos were really good at helping me understand the peculiarities of the exam - you have to put a special "GRE" hat on to understand how to tackle inference questions, etc, and Magoosh really helped me figure that out.

I focused on Verbal section. Everything was very helpful.
In order of helpfulness, here are the four things that were most helpful for me:
-Vocab flashcards and vocab builder
-Practice questions
-Practice question explanations
-Test strategy videos

I used Magoosh almost exclusively to practice questions, and occasionally watched a lesson video. I appreciated the videos explaining each question, however I usually preferred text explanations for the questions.

Magoosh provided structure to my studying by allowing me to keep track of what I had studied. The Magoosh practice questions were great, particularly the Quantitative ones. I found some of them to be more difficult than the actual GRE, which likely helped.

Problem solving speed, especially for Math.

I learned a lot from the verbal videos, especially ones associated with each questions.
Math practice improved my speed, vocab ios app was also very critical for me.

Habituated me to Verbal and Quant questions and to the GRE in general.

Familiarity with test, study plan

It gave me the intuition to manage problems I did not previously know how to work with. It helped me overcome a plateau on my scores. Really appreciate it, and wish I had started off with Magoosh rather than Princeton Review, which I spent about 2 months working with versus Magoosh 1 month.

Magoosh really helped me brush up my concepts in math. It also provided with innovative ways to think about a problem to come to the quickest estimation of the solution that's possible. This helps in the GRE exam, specially when then difficulty of the questions increase in the second section and time management becomes crucial.

Magoosh helped me with the Math section. The most important aspects for me were the amount of questions available and the math techniques taught in the videos.

I only use magoosh for the quant section. It was extremely useful.

By providing tricks and tips to deconstruct the verbal questions specifically

1. I liked to use the interface for question practice and test because it is very similar to actual gre, so when you give the test, it felt as if I was giving test in my home, which was comfortable and helped in reducing the tension.

2. Level of difficulty in the questions were more than that of actual test which was helpful because during the test answering the simpler questions built up the confidence and I was able to solve hard questions which i wouldn't have done otherwise.

The math content videos were terrific. My issue coming into the GRE was that I hadn't seen most of the math in ages (despite 3 years of STEM classes, the last time I thought about special right triangles or manually working out complex exponents was almost a decade ago!) Magoosh helped by organizing everything I needed into one place. In particular, watching the math videos both reacquainted me with the math itself and provided a wide range of time saving heuristics that were vital on test day. I also benefited from the test-like math practice sections.

Get familiar with the type of questions in the GRE and how to manage time

The practice problems were an excellent resource!

As a full-time working mom of 2 young kids, Magoosh was absolutely the only way I was able to take this test confidently. The videos were comprehensive and easy to follow along with. I performed better than I expected and completely owe all the credit to Magoosh. Thank you!
