I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh really helped me brush up my concepts in math. It also provided with innovative ways to think about a problem to come to the quickest estimation of the solution that's possible. This helps in the GRE exam, specially when then difficulty of the questions increase in the second section and time management becomes crucial.

Magoosh helped me with the Math section. The most important aspects for me were the amount of questions available and the math techniques taught in the videos.

I only use magoosh for the quant section. It was extremely useful.

By providing tricks and tips to deconstruct the verbal questions specifically

1. I liked to use the interface for question practice and test because it is very similar to actual gre, so when you give the test, it felt as if I was giving test in my home, which was comfortable and helped in reducing the tension.

2. Level of difficulty in the questions were more than that of actual test which was helpful because during the test answering the simpler questions built up the confidence and I was able to solve hard questions which i wouldn't have done otherwise.

The math content videos were terrific. My issue coming into the GRE was that I hadn't seen most of the math in ages (despite 3 years of STEM classes, the last time I thought about special right triangles or manually working out complex exponents was almost a decade ago!) Magoosh helped by organizing everything I needed into one place. In particular, watching the math videos both reacquainted me with the math itself and provided a wide range of time saving heuristics that were vital on test day. I also benefited from the test-like math practice sections.

Magoosh definitely helped me with my mental dexterity on the math section. I had used a prep book on my first go round that didnt prepare me for how quickly I needed to move on the math section. It also REALLY helped with my technique on the writing section. I will say that my improvement on the literature section cant be attributed to Magoosh because I didnt use Magoosh at all for that.

Oh boy, how did it not help me? I think the ability to target specific areas of study for practice and include the relevant instruction videos was huge. The explanation videos and commonly asked questions ("why isn't it answer B?") to problems were also incredibly helpful in figuring out wrong answer choices and developing that very important test instinct. Magoosh also offers the ability to save notes in real time during instruction videos, problems, and explanation videos. It made keeping track of common mistakes or forgotten words much much easier.

With the maths videos they are amazing

It helped me stay on track with studying and practice questions. It was easier and more directed than opening a book.

The math lessons were absolutely great! And the video explanations after every question were really helpful. Also, Magoosh staff were fast in answering every question I had.

Although I am a native English speaker, I never read books for fun growing up. So when I found out that I needed to take the GRE, I knew that the Verbal section was going to be difficult. The vocabulary flashcard app was amazing and the fact that I could use it during my daily commute was an added bonus. Due to how well integrated Magoosh is for mobile, I was also able to solve hundreds of verbal questions during my time on the bus. I never would have thought that I would be able to score above 160 on the Verbal section but I did!

As for the quantitative section, everyone can agree that Magoosh prepares you above and beyond for it. The math topics that you need to learn for the GRE are fairly simple but you have to be really quick. Magoosh teaches you so many tips and tricks that you will find yourself just speeding through the math sections with little to no error.

I can't forget about the fact that you can take practice exams with Magoosh! The GRE is a long test and you really have to be ready for such a mental beating. Having taken 4 practice exams with Magoosh really helped me be mentally ready for exam day.
