You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I was very rusty on math concepts, so the videos were the perfect way for me to review. I like the useful strategies given and the emphasis on knowing how the math works, when I get that context, math makes much more sense to me. I'm also surprised by how much the verbal helped, it's my natural strong suit, so I didn't think I would improve as much on verbal but the strategies given helped me to slow down and get to the meat of the questions.

Wonderful videos explaining strategy and important methodologies. Also the explanation videos for the practice questions were immensely helpful.

Just having zillions of practice problems with explanations. Ironically I grew worse at Quant its every practice test. Im going to blame that on my own psychological factors.

Helped clarify concepts in detail

I memorized common and basic words using Vocabulary flash cards. I also practiced math and verbal on Magoichi platform. It helped me learn question patterns on each section.

It gave me lots of ways to practice with all the questions available! The GRE flashcards for vocab words were also really helpful for the essay and verbal portion.

The practice exams were fantastic and a great way to get used to the format. The questions themselves were often on the harder spectrums of actual GRE questions, which made the actual exam much easier.

Giving helpful instructional videos along with useful practice problems with explanations.

The strategies for attacking problems made a huge difference, especially in the reading comprehension area. The math videos were very helpful, and I felt like I could have solved every problem on the test.

It helped me to get practice and advices for the exercises that were more frequent in the test. I didn't watch the videos, because I had already the theoretical background, but the practice was a very important part to be succesful.

Gave me a lot of review on mathI know 158 is no great shakes but it would have been a lot lower without all the patient and easy-to-understand math lesson videos. They weren't fun to get through for someone who doesn't jive with math, but I know anything other than those videos would have been simultaneously more painful and less helpful. As for the verbal videosI am going to be honest and say that I didn't really learn anything in terms of content from them, and I didn't really use any of the strategy suggestions when it came to tackling questions, but the lessons were indispensable in terms of familiarizing me with the question types. I felt a lot more confident going into the exam after having used Magoosh than I would have if I hadn't. I felt, more or less, like I knew what I was doing.
