I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

By re-teaching me some basic math and reading skills, especially how to apply them to solve problems on the GRE.

I need at least a 70th percentile Quant score to get into the grad program I want. I also had barely two months to submit my application from the time I decided to apply, and so had hardly any time to prepare for the GRE.

My first attempt at the GRE... wasn't good. I had been studying the ETS books backwards and forwards for about three weeks, but on test day I got really flustered and ran out of time badly on the Quant section. I also had a hard time answering all but the easiest Quant questions, even though I thought I was pretty well prepared. My Quant score came out pretty average, but to me it was a disaster.

I decided to try again in a month, and knew I was going to need outside help to get my Quant score up. I chose Magoosh because it was the cheapest program I could find, but I have been amazed at how comprehensive and helpful Magoosh has been. I watched all the Quant videos I could and answered as many questions I had time for. Thanks to the app I could even study at work!

I figured out pretty early on that the reason why my first attempt had been so terrible is that all throughout my schooling I had been penalized heavily for using mental math and tricks to make problems easier, and had learned to rely on calculators and formulas instead. Thankfully, Magoosh was able to reprogram all of that.

Thanks to Magoosh, the second time I took the GRE was much, much better. I managed my time well and spent much less time on each question thanks to all the mental math tricks I learned from the videos. Questions I would have had no idea how to answer a month ago didn't slow me down at all.

My score is now well above what I need to be accepted, and I really wouldn't have been able to do it without Magoosh.

I literally did 450 or so magoosh verbal problems. They are so hard and thus push me studying all the time to at least feel not bad for myself. When I took the actual test yesterday, I realized that difficulty of verbal section was a joke comparing to very hard and hard level problems I encountered in magoosh. The magoosh keeps me humble and never feel settled when preparing the GRE.
Plus, the vocab prep software was very useful. I think I saw some of those words in the actual test.

The number of questions available was a great resource to practice. The different difficulties and practice tests made it easy to focus and improve.

Magoosh let me study in my short but frequent amounts of free time. It helped me learn the GRE and improved my verbal score greatly.

Excellent video lessons, good prep questions

The lessons on Magoosh as well as the videos explaining all of the questions were instrumental to my GRE experience. I studied primarily from Magoosh content, only supplementing with ETS practice tests, as well as some Kaplan practice questions and tests. I had a little less than a month to prepare and Magoosh really helped make sense of the material with as little stress as possible. Though what I really needed was a high verbal score (and thus focused mostly on achieving that), the Magoosh math lessons offered a solid refresher course. Would definitely recommend Magoosh to anyone faced with the daunting prospect of studying for the GRE.

It boosted my motivation to study (doing questions and seeing my results on the dashboard became kind of addictive), it gave me a very good idea what to expect on the test and how much time I will have. Also, the Videos helped very much, especially the explanations to each question.

It helped me a lot to understand the structure of the exam, learn new words and strategies to answer questions in the most efficient way. Before Magoosh I would take too long to answer simple questions and I would always be overtime.

Magoosh provided example questions that helped me feel more comfortable with the material. The practice questions were also excellent guides for studying and relearning the material.

I always thought I was pretty good at math (though not really verbal), so I was a bit disappointed when I got a 159Q 157V on my first practice exam. Magoosh gave me the tools I needed to bring my score up a ton on both math and verbal. The lesson videos taught me all of the tricks to use, and the practice problems really helped me apply them. Going into the exam, I was really nervous, but it turned out after watching every video and doing every practice problem, my work really paid off! I ended up with 169Q, 165V, which was even better than I ever thought I could do! :)

I went to grad school long ago, but I've been out of school for 7 years. I wanted to go back but badly needed to brush up on math. I spent 1 month doing Magoosh most days, and got 161, which I consider a very good score for having been out of school for so long.

I got 170 on the verbal without any real studying, but I've always been a language nerd.

Vocab, good tips for essays, practice questions

Video lessons were great. Practice test was very realistic.

All of the lesson videos helped to refresh old topics in math and the practice questions were amazing. The fact that every question has an explanation is more helpful than I had imagined.

Having video explanations helps a lot. For my first test, I only studied out of a book, and I found the answers a bit too technical and dry. I haven't actually emailed anyone at Magoosh for help, but I like knowing the option exists.

I am a unique case. As a military Physician Assistant I never required a GRE for any of the programs or Universities I attended. Two Bachelors, a Masters, and about 18 years since my last didactic math course, I had to take a GRE. I am applying for a Surgical PA DSc program which required I complete the GRE by 16 JAN 2018. This may not seem unorthodox (outside of the requirement of the GRE after already completing graduate level work) however, I was notified of the requirement 28 DEC 2017. With a little over two weeks to study and my day job seeing patients, I knew that scoring high enough to get accepted was going to be difficult. Enter your program. I took an initial practice test after a few days of study which estimated a quant/verbal score of 150/151 respectively. Not ideal in my mind so I continued to watch the video lectures, took practice tests, and on 16 JAN took the test. Seeing my scores on the screen of 159/161 was incredible, some how I scored a 320+ after studying for only 18 days. Without this program I wouldn't have come close to the score I received and I know that this program is a major reason why I will progress in my career. I cannot thank the staff who assembled this program enough, and will recommend any and all of your test prep programs to my peers, friends, or anyone else who will listen.
