You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It provides great assistance in preparing math section, because the questions in Magoosh are a little bit more tricky than that in the real test, and if you can handle them, you can get a competitive grade in the real test.
The verbal question in Magoosh are great as well. The vocabulary in Magoosh is much harder than that in the real test, but the logic in Magoosh is weaker. So, the verbal part of Magoosh mainly help me develope the vocabulary.

Magoosh definitely helped me break down my areas of weakness and gave comprehensive explanations on how to answer the practice questions. The Vocab Flashcard App also helped build up my vocabulary, which helped me tackle the more difficult verbal questions.

Vocab flashcards were great! So useful, and having the app was very practical for walking to work, going to the bathroom, etc. The math videos offered some really useful tips and strategies, even though I don't struggle with math. And while I didn't follow the study plan all the way through, it helped add some structure to my studying at the start.

Magoosh helped me with practicing questions that are similar to those appearing on the exam, strategies for different types of questions, answering specific questions that we may have if we did not understand the explanations provided, and more!

Magoosh helped me a lot, especially in verbal section. I never thought I would be able to score 160. Videos were very helpful in every aspect. Practice questions provided were very much useful. These helped in getting a hang of what questions might be faced during the actual exam. Videos on Analytical Writing were sufficient giving an idea about how to organize the essay. Overall a very great experience. :)

Magoosh allowed me to study on the go while I commuted and always have access to the problems I needed to review or study in the moment. I really appreciated being able to watch, flag, and review the video lessons. I would highly recommend Magoosh.

Magoosh was the backbone for my GRE preparation and the course material that i followed besides ETS official guide. It helped me understand the pattern of the exam and gave me sufficient number of questions for practice covering all topics. The videos teach wonderful tricks and shortcuts that I never knew. And the practice questions are really similar to that of the actual test. I will recommend the Magoosh flash cards to everyone too, it's so convenient to use, the way it works really helps recollection, and the words are pretty common on the GRE. For quant, I will recommend using the ETS Quant Practice Book, and the Manhattan 5lbs book in conjunction with what you have in Magoosh.

And I must say... what's also crucial is the Magoosh team being available to help answer questions and give tips on how to better study for the test. The prompt replies are really awesome, and adds a truly human element to the digital platform. It deserves all the raves it has on the internet.

The verbal is much harder than the actual gre so it prepared me well. Also the math part is super good because it is of about the same difficulty level as the actual GRE.

I used Magoosh for the quant section - I went through all of the practice problems at least once, reviewing the solutions as I went and marking down suggested videos to watch for problems that were particularly tricky. I ended up going through most of the problems a second time, even after reviewing the ones I had flagged or gotten incorrect. I found the hardest problems to be harder than what was on the actual exam, which made me feel very comfortable with the difficultly level on test day.

It allowed me to simulate the actual test while providing feedback on what I did wrong and what I should have done to get it right. The math explanations were especially helpful because they clued me in to some mental shortcuts.

Before Magoosh, I tried taking a practice exam and did far worse. I wasn't allocating enough time to the questions, there were certain math topics I hadn't practiced since college (5 years ago), and my strategy for the verbal section was completely wrong. Magoosh helped change the way I looked at the GRE questions. Plus, I often found the questions on Magoosh were a little harder than the actual exam, so it gave me a lot of confidence.

The verbal practice let me know how to analysis the questions and together with the vocabulary cards it point out the correct answers.

The math videos were a huge help to review all the concepts I hadn't seen since high school.

The standard of practice questions in both verbal and quants was good. Also, the text and video explanations for each and every practice question gives an in depth insight of the concept involved. This helped me understand the concepts better. The video lectures in the quants section are well prepared, the explanations are lucid and covers the entire range of topics to be studied for the GRE. The option of taking timed quizzes was very useful to improve my speed. Overall, Magoosh has done a great job and I would like to thank Magoosh for helping me get 330 in the GRE.
