You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It provided a really potent refresher for all the math components and gave some very useful strategies for preparing for verbal. I actually found the practice tests much harder than the actual GRE exam (which is a good thing).
Having only 2 weeks to prepare this was likely the best source I could have found to cram and be as prepared as possible for the exam.

I only wish I found you guys before. I am working full time and I had just 1 month to give the exam. I have a 8 mark jump just because of you. I left all other material and followed all the lessons and practice at your website. I am so thankful to find you when it mattered the most.

The video explanations were helpful, particularly for math. I had to refresh my math knowledge, so having video explanations and solutions that were clear was crucial.

The biggest help was the format of the product, which was identical to the actual test. Having to do a test on a computer is so much different from a paper-based test, so I felt prepared. Practice with timing was also crucial.

The verbal practice questions and reading passages were nearly identical to what was tested.

Your blog was also an invaluable resource. It is amazing! I really appreciate the extra effort you put into helping people with the test. The small tips, themed vocab practice etc. really helped me feel more prepared. While studying for the GRE, I felt I needed to immerse myself in the material. Having your blog to browse through was great.

During the test, I specifically remember saying "THANK YOU MAGOOSH" in my head when I encountered a problem that I knew how to solve because of the video tutorials. It gave me the confidence and practice that I needed to perform well on test day (especially after having been out of school for 2 years and having spent the past year and a half in a different country speaking a different language...)

I had tried all the other book product on the market. These books taught tricks and tips and the basics that were very easy to understand. Magoosh gave me what they didn't have, problems to work with explained answers. I didn't heavy a good high school education so I have been plagued by basic problems even though I'm working in an advanced scientific field. Magoosh helped me fill the voids I missed early on.

The videos were very easy to understand and extremely thorough. For the price, this is by far the best study guide for the test.

I loved this program. I already have a graduate degree, but had to retake the GRE for another grad program, because my scores were more than five years old. I knew I wouldn't do as well this time around due to my work schedule, but I didn't want to fail and risk not getting into the MPH program. I used your apps while commuting for a few weeks in order to refresh my skill set. If I had your software the first time I took the GRE (back when I could actually study!) I think I could have achieved a perfect score.

The videos were the most helpful. The instructional videos for math were a big help since I have been out of school for a few years. The best were the videos in the practice session because you were able to get a full explanation of how to complete the problem.

I only had about three weeks to use Magoosh between GRE attempts. I watched all of the lesson videos but did not get to all the practice questions; however, I still saw an 11pt improvement! I wish that I had've used Magoosh to prepare the first time around instead of the other books (Kaplan and Princeton Review). Had I had more time, I can only imagine how high of a score I could have received. With the previous books, I was doing well on their practice questions but was left unprepared for the actual GRE. After using Magoosh I was much better prepared for the GRE - I think the questions on Magoosh were harder than the GRE's!

Magoosh was key in my improvement (I only bought the math package). Just going through the problems and the thorough explanations was very helpful, along with the lessons in areas I needed to improve. It was very interactive compared to practice booklets and the layout was similar to the real GRE.

Alot. I had exhausted the GRE books on the shelves at the library: Kaplan, Pearson's, and McGraw, two to three books each. That was when I signed up for Magoosh online program--very close to my GRE testing date. Prior to signing up, I knew something was "wrong" because I kept getting perfect on the exam questions in the books mentioned above; this was what happened to me the last time I was preparing for my last GRE, and the result was a 69th percentile on Verbal!
Well, this year, I received a 83rd percentile for math, and a 95th percentile for verbal. Even though the math score didn't improve much, it was still the score for which I was aiming, so I feel content. And for the verbal--I keep irritating my boyfriend by checking and re-checking the score because I just feel like it's not real, or maybe I'm just dreaming. Given my background as an international student from Japan, the verbal section was something on which I almost had given up. I feel that Magoosh program was the only GRE-prep program--and I did vigorously scavenge around for many prep programs--that helped me prove myself wrong.

You might hear this often, but GRE scores do make a difference for students applying to graduate schools, especially in certain competitive fields, and being able to submit this part of the application with confidence not only is beneficial on its own, but also allows students to stay positive and confident through the stressful process.

It helped me prepare well for the verbal section. I feel more comfortable solving something on pen and paper, and so I had difficulty reading RC passages when I took the GRE for the first time. Also, the fact that I prepared solely from Barrons book added to my woes. The result was that I was not able to score well in the verbal section. This time I preferred taking online preparation and Magoosh has really helped me. I took the GRE again after 30 days and this time I was able to improve my score by 10 points.

Magoosh was an extremely accurate indicator of the GRE in content and presentation. Without access to a Windows-based computer environment, Magoosh was the only product that provided that ability. Plus the lessons were easy to understand.

I've always been reluctant to use online study programs because i've never felt like I had the discipline for them. But Magoosh has really proved me wrong! The Magoosh study plan and math videos really helped me improve my math score (I started with a 141 on my first practice test) and the verbal practice questions are challenging enough to make the GRE verbal section almost seem easy!

Your product is one of the best GRE preps available today. The math part was especially good.
