I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I came across Magoosh in a Google search about the GRE a few months ago; it was love at first sight. The Magoosh blog featured refreshingly honest reviews of GRE test prep books and all other kinds of free resources. The amazing-ness of it all convinced me to get Magoosh Premium. Ultimately, Magoosh helped to strengthen my understanding of math concepts that I had either forgotten or never learned, and it also significantly helped me to more effectively break down the reading comprehension questions. (I think at one point during the actual exam, I could hear Chris Lele's voice telling me why some of the RC distractors were wrong.) And finally but perhaps most importantly, it provided a high-quality set of practice quant and verbal questions that ended up being more than enough to practice from. These questions closely resemble the actual questions you'll see on the GRE. I can't thank Magoosh enough for everything GRE-related. The personalized feel of Magoosh didn't hurt, either. How? In every way possible. Without Magoosh, I would have been absolutely lost. Everything about Magoosh is absolutely helpful, cogent and simply wonderful. On my first practice test, I saw just how much math I had really forgotten, indeed, I was in the 25th percentile. After 5-weeks of intensive study, my Quantitative percentile was the 78th.

Ridiculous number of practice questions and video lessons. Even if I got the same type of question consistently wrong, doing it over and over made me better and by the time the real test came it was easy.

Well honestly ; after administering the gre I can say that Magoosh did indeed help me . I would be like any other student doing kaplan , princeton review blah blah and then wondering why did i get 295 in my test lolz . Nothing and i mean nothing prepares the gre like MAGOOSH . i can still say that there were approx 5-6 same worded quant questions in my gre . that itself is more than an achievement

There are so many elements of magoosh product that i would laud Right from its peculiar timer telling you its "ON" when you try to solve every question down to its amazing question bank incorporating their gmat questions too into their product and also their simply sublime lesson videos. I invested two months for the gre . Followed the schedule , included lsat gmat in my prep and gave almost 15 tests . 6 manhattan 2 power prep 4 magoosh and 3 private course tests . Out of all these exams Magoosh accurately mimicked the test conditions , albeit make no mistake GRE was the TOUGHEST exam . I definitely did not glide the test but knowing my situation i knew exactly how to think and act again thanks to magoosh.

Another interesting fact : listening to chris's verbal explanations actually worked indirectly to improve my toefl preparation too. Magoosh is the only thing that kept my sanity intact through the whole GRE process. I spent weeks working with sub-standard material from Barrons, Princeton Review, and Kaplan, but it was the videos and practice questions at Magoosh that made all the difference for me and bumped me up from a 326 to a 335.

Magoosh is certainly one of the best online GRE preps with an affordable price. Math and verbal questions are slightly more difficult than the real GRE questions, making it a good way to prepare yourself. In particular, the math questions on Magoosh resemble the real questions very closely!

There is a tremendous amount of GRE prep material out there, so it's hard to know how to optimize the studying process. Magoosh provided a step-by-step guide to the process, and your score guarantee allowed me to trust that your advice was effective.

I was originally a pretty high scorer but needed a higher math score for the graduate programs I am interested in. Most math review material is targeted toward people who are not going into quantitative graduate programs, but I needed a product that would enable me to accurately and quickly complete the hardest questions. Magoosh definitely delivered on this aspect.

I signed up for Magoosh mostly because I was struggling with the verbal section (English is my least favorite subject), but the math questions and videos helped a lot as well. I was impressed by the simple yet informative video explanations, and the fact that the questions were at a higher level compared to those from the official ETS practice tests.

As for verbal, although I did not pick up many vocabulary words in the short month before the exam (I mostly constrained myself to Magoosh's practice questions and vocab booklet), the strategies outlined by the videos were a great help during the test, especially since I used to get lots of questions wrong by choosing words that I was familiar with. Overall, I did much better than expected, especially on the verbal section.

Finally, the fast and thorough responses to my tickets were incredibly helpful, especially since I was feeling very stressed out and had a lot of questions a week before the exam.

The videos were great, especially the verbal ones. I made heavy use of the iPad app. Also, I appreciated how close the question format matched that on the actual test.

The format of the questions was so similar to that of the actual test that I wasted no time getting used to the layout (I'm referring especially to the calculator, timer, "review" page, and just how the questions and answers appeared visually) when taking the GRE. The lessons provided a great starting place, but what I found particularly helpful was the video explanations for each question, so that I could really focus on my problem areas. I started off my studying using a couple books in conjunction with Magoosh, but ended up ditching them early on because I felt I was getting all the practice and review I needed here.

The lessons, blog articles and practice questions that Magoosh offers helped me immensely in my preparation. Had it not been for these resources, I am certain that I would not have improved, especially in the quantitative section; from an abysmal 144, I got it up to 156 (not impressive I know, but considering my original score, I could pretty much cry). The study schedules were great! They really helped me to focus and plan my studying. The suggested resources were also excellent, as were the lesson videos and Magoosh practice questions. I don't think I would have done nearly as well without Magoosh.

The lesson modules were very helpful for the math section. The thing I appreciate the most from Magoosh is the difficulty of the practice questions. I found myself prepared for almost all of the questions on the GRE. And the GRE questions tended to be a bit more simplistic than the hard to very hard practice questions.

I wanted to improve my quantitative reasoning score, and the Magoosh video walkthroughs for very difficult math problems helped me troubleshoot where I was going wrong. I'd highly recommend Magoosh for this reason alone. I went from scoring in the mid-150s after a Kaplan course to scoring a 168 on quantitative reasoning after Magoosh!

I used Magoosh to identify areas of weakness and target my studying. The 3 month advanced student study plan was great!

Lots of practice and awesome flash cards. Plus I used the verbal videos to get a clearer understanding of what kind of questions they tested on.

I learned valuable techniques to use and perspectives to take during the verbal reasoning sections that I would not have come up with by myself. The detailed explanations, including the breaking down of sentences to find the key words in order to select the appropriate words, helped me tune my focus to answer those questions and approach the questions from a more logical-based perspective.

The adaptability of Magoosh challenged me and better prepared me for the actual exam. Specifically, the practice tests, which included the experimental section, gave me a good idea of what to expect on test day. The ETS practice tests provided online through the company only have four sections.

Working almost exclusively on the computer--I studied vocabulary using note cards--was also great preparation for the actual test, as I was comfortable with the ETS format and also staring at a computer screen for long periods of time.

Magoosh has such a melange of practice questions that I did not have to repeat questions in order to continue preparing. In fact, I did not go through all of the practice questions provided by Magoosh, although I felt well prepared based on the amount of practice I did.

The explanations for the essay section clearly outlined the premise of each essay and provided pragmatic approaches to writing each of them.
